Abstract

To provide a handheld floor sweeper that allows a user to dispose of dust and debris from a storage compartment without the need to touch the debris.SOLUTION: A latching mechanism 32 that is operated by a user pushing a release lever 30 allows a bottom tray 24 to pivot to an open position to discharge debris collected in a compartment 22 without the user having to contact the debris.
