Next, the effect of
In a power steering apparatus, water such as rainwater and muddy water may enter the housing that houses the rack bar due to damage to the dust boots. Here, the power steering function is not affected only by moisture entering the housing. However, if the

The
The
The

Next, the effect of Embodiment 2 is demonstrated.

The
The
The

[Other Embodiments]
Although the embodiment for carrying out the present invention has been described above, the specific configuration of the present invention is not limited to the configuration of the embodiment, and there are design changes and the like within the scope not departing from the gist of the invention. Are also included in the present invention.
You may install a moisture detection element in an electric motor accommodating part.
The transmission mechanism is not limited to the ball screw mechanism.
The present invention can also be applied to a power steering device for an electric vehicle such as an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle. In particular, in an electric vehicle having no internal combustion engine, the temperature in the housing cannot be increased due to the residual heat of the internal combustion engine. Therefore, when the outside air temperature is low, the moisture in the housing is likely to freeze, and thus the effect of the application of the present invention is remarkable. In the case of an electric vehicle, the start switch of the vehicle is a start switch, a standby switch, or the like.
While the electric motor is vibrated, the frozen state of moisture in the housing may be determined based on the vibration frequency signal of the electric motor. When the moisture is frozen, the resistance to the operation of the electric motor increases, so the vibration frequency of the electric motor is lower than the vibration frequency of the command current.
The driving state of the engine is not limited to the engine speed, and may be whether or not idling is stopped. In the case of an electric vehicle, the state of the motor or inverter may be monitored as the driving state of the power source.
The steering state of the steering mechanism is not limited to the steering frequency, and may be a steering angle, a steering speed, a steering accumulated time, or the like.
The steering load is not limited to the steering torque, and may be a current value signal of an electric motor.
