Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an on-vehicle step-down DCDC converter.
In an electronic device such as an in-vehicle DCDC converter, for example, when a terminal connected to the ground is disconnected and an abnormal state occurs where the conductive path to be connected to the ground is not normally connected to the ground, the device operates abnormally. May occur or cause a malfunction. Regarding this problem, as a technique for detecting whether or not the ground terminal is securely grounded, a technique as disclosed in Patent Document 1 has been proposed. However, the technique of Patent Document 1 does not relate to a DCDC converter for vehicle use.
When a switching type step-down DCDC converter is mounted on a vehicle, it is necessary to electrically connect a part of a path of a voltage conversion unit that performs a step-down operation to a ground portion provided in the vehicle. For example, by connecting a ground terminal for ground connection provided in the DCDC converter to an external ground portion by a connecting member such as a screw or a bolt, the potential of some conductive paths in the DCDC converter is fixed to the ground level. Can do.
However, in this type of DCDC converter, various operations are performed on the assumption that the conductive path connected to the ground portion is at the ground potential, and therefore the potential of the conductive path connected to the ground portion varies from the ground potential. If this happens, there may be a situation where it does not operate normally. For example, when the output voltage is detected based on the potential of the ground terminal and the step-down control is performed so that the output approaches the target voltage based on the detection result, the ground terminal is removed from the ground portion, and the potential of the ground terminal is If it is in a floating state without being fixed to the ground potential, the output voltage cannot be normally detected due to a change in the reference, so that an appropriate target voltage cannot be output. Even if such a situation occurs, the voltage detection unit that detects the output voltage and the control unit that controls the voltage conversion unit cannot recognize that the detected output voltage is an incorrect value. Based on this, step-down control that outputs an incorrect voltage is continued. Such a problem cannot be solved by the technique of Patent Document 1.
The present invention has been made based on the above-described circumstances, and when the connection state between the voltage conversion unit and the reference conductive path becomes abnormal during the step-down operation, the abnormality is reliably detected. An object of the present invention is to realize a possible abnormality detection device or DCDC converter.

In the first and second inventions, the voltage detector detects the voltage of the second conductive path with reference to the potential at a predetermined position between the second element and the reference conductive path. If is a normal connection state, the voltage of the second conductive path is detected based on the potential of the reference conductive path, and the abnormal connection state where the second element and the reference conductive path are not electrically connected Then, the voltage detection unit detects the voltage of the second conductive path with reference to the potential deviating from the potential of the reference conductive path. In this case, if the second element and the reference conductive path are normally connected, the voltage detection unit normally detects the voltage of the second conductive path. Therefore, based on the detection result of the voltage detection unit. Thus, the voltage of the second conductive path can be controlled to the target voltage. However, if an abnormal state is established in which the second element and the reference conductive path are not normally connected, the predetermined position that the voltage detection unit uses as a reference is fixed to a reference potential corresponding to the potential of the reference conductive path. It will be in a floating state. In this case, since the detection value of the voltage detection unit shows a value different from the actual voltage of the second conductive path, even if the step-down operation is controlled based on such a detection result, the value of the second conductive path is The voltage cannot be controlled to the target voltage. However, in this case, when the abnormality occurs, the reference of the voltage detection unit has changed, that is, an abnormal connection state is established in which the second element and the reference conductive path are not electrically connected. There is a problem that cannot be recognized.
Therefore, according to the first aspect of the invention, the control unit temporarily stops the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit during the control for causing the voltage conversion unit to perform the step-down operation, and resumes the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit after the temporary stop. To control. When the step-down operation is temporarily stopped, the potential at a predetermined position (predetermined position between the second element and the reference conductive path) as a reference by the voltage detection unit when the abnormal state occurs is the first conductive Since the potential is an intermediate potential between the potential of the path and the potential of the second conductive path, the potential at this position in the normal state (value corresponding to the potential of the reference conductive path) is greatly changed. Therefore, the detection result of the voltage detection unit obtained with the potential at the predetermined position as a reference also greatly changes from the result obtained in the normal state. Therefore, whether or not the connection state between the voltage conversion unit and the reference conductive path is abnormal using the detection result by the voltage detection unit when the control unit temporarily stops the voltage step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit. If it is determined, it becomes easy to accurately determine when an abnormality has occurred.
In the second invention, the control unit temporarily performs the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit when the output current becomes a predetermined current threshold value or less during the control for causing the voltage conversion unit to perform the step-down operation or at a plurality of predetermined stop timings. The control is performed so that the voltage converter is resumed after a temporary stop and after the temporary stop. When the output current is equal to or less than a predetermined current threshold, there is a possibility that the output current is reduced due to no current flowing between the voltage conversion unit and the reference conductive path. Therefore, in such a case, if control is performed to temporarily stop the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit and resume the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit after the temporary stop, the voltage conversion unit and the reference conductive path Thus, it is possible to efficiently check the abnormality at a time when there is a concern that a connection abnormality has occurred, and to increase the possibility that a connection abnormality will be detected. In addition, if the control is performed to temporarily stop the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit at a plurality of predetermined stop times and restart the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit after the temporary stop, a plurality of abnormality inspections can be performed, The possibility that a connection abnormality is detected can be increased.
Here, a desirable example of the invention will be shown.
In the first invention, the determination unit temporarily stops the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit based on the voltage value of at least one of the first conductive path and the second conductive path detected by the voltage detection unit. It functions to determine that the connection state between the voltage converter and the reference conductive path is abnormal when a predetermined change is indicated between before and during the temporary stop of the voltage converter step-down operation. Also good.
When the path from the second element is not electrically connected to the reference conductive path, the control unit converts the voltage value of at least one of the first conductive path and the second conductive path detected by the voltage detector. There is a high possibility that the voltage will greatly change before the voltage step-down operation of the voltage converter is temporarily stopped and when the voltage step-down operation of the voltage converter is temporarily stopped. Therefore, the voltage value of at least one of the first conductive path and the second conductive path detected by the voltage detection unit is before the control unit temporarily stops the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit and the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit. If a method of determining that the connection state between the voltage conversion unit and the reference conductive path is abnormal is used when a predetermined change is indicated during the temporary stop of the battery, abnormality in the connection state is easily detected. .
Both the first and second inventions may include a current detection unit that detects the value of the current flowing through the second conductive path. The control unit temporarily performs the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit by setting the time when the current value detected by the current detection unit is equal to or lower than a predetermined current threshold when the voltage conversion unit is performing the step-down operation as a predetermined stop time. It is also possible to perform a control so that the voltage conversion unit is controlled to be stopped and resumed after the temporary stop.
If an abnormal connection occurs that causes the voltage converter and the reference conduction path to become non-conductive, there is a possibility that the output current will be greatly reduced due to the fact that an appropriate voltage is not output from the voltage converter. There is. Accordingly, the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit is temporarily stopped by setting the time when the current value detected by the current detection unit becomes equal to or less than the predetermined current threshold as the predetermined stop time, and the voltage conversion unit is stepped down after the temporary stop. If the control for resuming the operation is performed, the inspection can be efficiently performed at the time when the possibility that the abnormality of the connection state has increased.
In both the first and second aspects of the invention, the control unit repeatedly performs the control for temporarily stopping the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit and restarting the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit after the temporary stop a plurality of times. May function.
In this way, a plurality of abnormality inspections can be performed, and it becomes easier to reliably detect abnormality in the connection state between the voltage conversion unit and the reference conductive path.
In both the first and second aspects of the invention, the control unit periodically stops the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit and periodically resumes the step-down operation of the voltage conversion unit after the temporary stop. It may function to do.
In this way, it is possible to periodically inspect abnormalities in the connection state between the voltage conversion unit and the reference conductive path, and if an abnormality occurs, the possibility of early detection is increased. .
Each of the first and second inventions includes a ground terminal that is configured as a path of a current flowing between the second element and the reference conductive path and is attached to a reference conductive path configured as a ground portion in the vehicle. You may do it.
In the configuration in which the ground terminal is provided as described above, there is a concern that a path to be connected to the ground portion may be in a non-conducting state with the ground portion due to the ground terminal being disconnected. Therefore, if the configuration of the present invention is used for the DCDC converter having such a configuration, it is more effective because an abnormality in the connection state can be detected when a terminal disconnection occurs.
In any of the first and second inventions, only one ground terminal may be connected to the reference conductive path.
In this way, when only one ground terminal is connected to the reference conductive path, the number of parts can be reduced and the installation space can be reduced. There is a problem that a path to be connected to the path is immediately turned off. If a configuration capable of detecting an abnormal connection state as in the present invention is used for the DCDC converter having such a configuration, the above problem can be addressed and it is more effective.

In this configuration, the
The

Next, the control performed by the DCDC converter 1 will be described in detail.
The
However, the
Specifically, the
The
Here, what kind of change occurs when the
The case of the configuration shown in FIG. 1 in the state shown in FIG. 2 will be described as an example. In the example of FIG. 2, the input voltage V1 applied to the first
When the
Here, the mechanism that the voltage conversion operation continues even when the
Even if the step-down operation is performed at the operating point of the intersection A, the
As shown in FIG. 5, during the step-down operation in which the output current I2 is a certain value (during operation in the state of the operating point B in FIG. 5), the
On the other hand, when the operation of the
Since the voltage of the first
Since the voltage of the second
In this way, when the
For example, a first threshold value for determining whether or not the detection voltage of the first
As another method, a second threshold value for determining whether or not the detection voltage of the second
In the above description, the example in which the
That is, the
Also in this case, it is determined whether or not the connection state between the
In addition, when the
In this configuration, the
In the present configuration, as described above, when the
As another example, the

Hereinafter, the effect of this configuration will be exemplified.
In the DCDC converter 1 described above, the
Therefore, in the DCDC converter 1, the
The
When the path from the
The DCDC converter 1 includes a
When an abnormality occurs in the connection state in which the
The

The
In this way, it is possible to periodically inspect the abnormality of the connection state between the
The DCDC converter 1 includes a
In the configuration in which the
The DCDC converter 1 has a configuration in which only one
As described above, when only one
