Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a high-temperature mechanical seal system in which a sealed fluid is high temperature.
Mechanical seal systems used for shaft seals of boiler water pumps, condensate pumps and other hot water pumps, hot oil pumps, etc. are transmitted to the mechanical seals from a high temperature sealed fluid in addition to the heat generated by their own rotational sliding. It was necessary to take measures against heat. In order to cool the high temperature sealed fluid, there is one that circulates the high temperature sealed fluid to a cooler outside the casing (so-called flushing type). In this flushing type, it is necessary to provide an impeller inside the casing in order to send the sealed fluid to the cooler, and the mechanical seal system has been enlarged. As another type of cooling the high-temperature sealed fluid, there is a type in which the sealed fluid is heat-exchanged in a water jacket provided inside the casing (in the stuffing box) shown in FIG. (See Patent Document 1)
The mechanical seal system shown in FIG. 4 mainly includes a rotary shaft XA, a water jacket XJ, a mechanical seal XM, a casing XC, a water jacket cooling water passage XW, and a mechanical seal cooling gas passage XG. Has been. The water jacket XJ is disposed in a stuffing box XS defined by the inner surface of the casing XC. Further, the water jacket XJ is continuously supplied with cooling water through the cooling water passage XW, and the water jacket XJ cooled by the cooling water receives the sealed fluid XL existing in the gap with the rotation axis XA from itself. It cools by heat exchange. Further, the cooling gas is continuously supplied to the quench chamber XQ on the outer peripheral side of the mechanical seal XM through the cooling gas passage, and the sliding portion of the mechanical seal XM is cooled by the cooling gas.
Further, the amount of cooling water supplied to the water jacket XJ is adjusted based on the temperature of the sealed fluid XL and the operating state of the equipment such as the boiler feed water pump. Similarly, the amount of cooling gas supplied to the intermediate chamber XQ is: The temperature was adjusted based on the temperature of the sealed fluid XL, the temperature of the mechanical seal XM, and the operating state of the equipment such as the boiler feed pump, and an excessive temperature rise of the mechanical seal XM was suppressed.
Here, in the mechanical seal system shown in FIG. 4, the operation state of the equipment such as the boiler feed water pump in which the mechanical seal system is incorporated is reduced in pressure in the machine M side than in the normal operation, and the mechanical seal slides. When the part is in a steamed state or in an operation state where there is almost no handling liquid such as a condensate pump, that is, a so-called emptying state, on the opposite side of the quench chamber XQ in the sliding part of the mechanical seal, Since there is no water which is a sealing fluid, a sealing film is not formed, and there is a possibility that gas enters the machine M side through the sliding portion of the mechanical seal and adversely affects equipment such as a boiler feed pump. Further, since two independent cooling water passages XW and cooling gas passages XG are required for cooling, the structure is complicated.
The present invention has been made paying attention to such problems, and an object thereof is to provide a mechanical seal system having a simple structure and excellent sealing performance.
In order to solve the above problems, the mechanical seal system of the present invention is:
A rotation axis;
A casing through which the rotating shaft is inserted;
An annular cooling jacket provided between the rotating shaft and the casing;
A mechanical seal that is provided between the casing and the rotating shaft and seals the fluid to be sealed outside the cooling jacket.
A cooling chamber formed between the outer peripheral side of the mechanical seal and the inner peripheral side of the casing;
A pump that pumps out the coolant;
The pump, the cooling chamber, and the cooling jacket are connected in series, and include a cooling passage that supplies the cooling liquid.
According to this feature, since the coolant is supplied to the cooling chamber on the outer peripheral side of the mechanical seal, the sealing film is formed on the mechanical seal even if the inside of the machine is depressurized more than during steady operation. Therefore, it has excellent sealing performance. Further, since the cooling chamber and the cooling jacket are cooled by the same fluid, the structure of the mechanical seal system can be simplified. Furthermore, since the cooling passage is connected in series with the cooling chamber and the cooling jacket, the structure of the mechanical seal system can be simplified.
The mechanical seal is characterized by being balanced with respect to the coolant in the cooling chamber.
According to this feature, even if the pressure of the coolant supplied to the cooling chamber is increased, the stress acting on the mechanical seal from the coolant is balanced, so the stress acting on the sliding portion of the mechanical seal is not affected. .
The mechanical seal has a double shape in which one rotating ring is sandwiched between two stationary rings.
According to this feature, since a high-pressure coolant in the cooling chamber can be supplied, a large amount of coolant can flow through the cooling passage.
The cooling passage is connected in the order of the pump, the cooling chamber, and the cooling jacket.
According to this feature, since the coolant discharged from the pump is first supplied to the cooling chamber, the sliding portion of the mechanical seal can be reliably cooled by the coolant having a low temperature.
The cooling passage is connected to a reservoir for storing the cooling liquid.
According to this feature, it is easy to adjust the flow rate of the coolant.
EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION The form for implementing the mechanical seal system which concerns on this invention is demonstrated below based on an Example.
A mechanical seal system according to an embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. It should be noted that the present invention is not construed as being limited thereto, and various changes, modifications, and improvements can be added based on the knowledge of those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the present invention.
The mechanical seal system 100 (see FIG. 3) includes the
A
Further, a
The
The
The moving
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
A fixing
The
In addition, the
As shown in FIG. 1, a plurality of hole-shaped spring seats arranged in the circumferential direction are provided on the
The
Further, the seal rings 7A and 7B are formed in a balanced shape with respect to the external fluid V described later.
Seal rings 7A and 7B are manufactured from SiC by a special conversion method (particulate the carbon surface into SiC, strengthen the surface strength, and combine both SiC wear resistance and carbon self-lubricating properties). Has been. It may also be made of diamond-coated SiC.
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the
The external fluid V supplied from the
In a normal operation, a device such as a boiler feed pump incorporating the mechanical seal system 100 (see FIG. 3) has a higher pressure on the M side (sealed
Further, by increasing the pressure in the
On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
Moreover, the outer periphery inside the
Further, sliding
A
The
In the range where the diameter of the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
As shown in FIG. 3, on the other hand, in the
As shown in FIG. 3, the external fluid V supplied from the
Specifically, the
Next, the flow of the external fluid V will be described. The external fluid V supplied from the
The external fluid V that has flowed into the cooling
As described above, since the external fluid V is supplied to the
Further, since the external fluid V is supplied to the
Further, since the
Further, since the
The
Further, since the
Further, a flow rate adjusting means 44 and a flow rate adjusting means 45, which are adjusting valves, are provided between the
Further, at least one member of the seal rings 7A, 7B or the
Also, a cooling
