(ロ)図1と図3に示すように、連結器(0)の根元に、接点板(1)と一体の部品で ある羽(2)を設ける。この羽(2)は、連結器を最大まで曲げた場合に羽(2 )全体が連結器ポケット(c)から完全に出ないように寸法を留意する。なお、 密自連型連結器と類似した自連型連結器においても、図3密自連型連結器と同様 に接点板(1)と羽(2)を設ける。
(ハ)図5に示すように、連結器ポケット(c)の内部に、弾力性に富む電気伝導性の ある材料の板(3)を2つ設ける。板(3)の間隔は、連結器(0)を最大まで 曲げた場合に、片方の羽(2)が2つの板(3)に同時に接することのないよう に留意する。
(二)図5に示すように、板(3)は連結器ポケット(c)内部から後部へ出るように 設ける。(ハ)と(二)においては、すべての形状の連結器(0)で同様である 。
