Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an inverter MPPT performance diagnostic apparatus and method for a photovoltaic power generation system. In particular, the present invention relates to an inverter MPPT performance diagnostic apparatus and method for a photovoltaic power generation system that improves the photovoltaic power generation efficiency.
In general, a photovoltaic power generation system includes a PV module that converts sunlight into DC power, and an inverter that converts DC power into AC power. In addition, a structure and a connection board may be further configured for installation, and a weather sensor and a monitoring system may be included for efficient operation.
In such a photovoltaic power generation system, a large capacity power generation system is configured by connecting a large number of small capacity PV modules in series and in parallel. Operates in a reduced state. The connection board is a device for connecting strings in which PV modules are connected in series, and a blocking diode for preventing reverse current and a fuse for preventing overcurrent are basically mounted for each string.
Even if a fuse of a specific string on the connection board is short-circuited or a switch is cut off in a photovoltaic system composed of a large number of strings, the photovoltaic system operates normally.
Therefore, in order to increase the power generation efficiency of the photovoltaic power generation system, it is necessary to grasp as quickly as possible whether or not the facility is operating normally.
On the other hand, the inverter has a function of converting DC power output from the PV module into AC power and a function of performing MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) control so that the PV module can output the maximum output.
FIG. 1A is a graph showing the current-voltage characteristics depending on the solar radiation amount of the PV module, and FIG. 1B is a graph showing the voltage-power characteristics depending on the solar radiation amount of the PV module.
As shown in FIG. 1A, the characteristic curve of the PV module is expressed as a voltage-current relationship with respect to each amount of solar radiation. FIG. 1A shows the characteristics when the temperature of the module is 25 ° C.
From this voltage-current graph, the voltage-power graph of FIG. 1B can be illustrated. Since power is the product of voltage and current, the voltage and current may be multiplied from FIG. 1A.
As can be seen from FIG. 1A, the shape of the PV module expands upward, the maximum power point is determined at an arbitrary amount of solar radiation, and the maximum output voltage (Vmpp) is lower as the solar radiation is lower. Although not shown, Vmpp decreases as the temperature increases.
In addition, Vmpp increases as the amount of solar radiation increases, but the module temperature increases as the amount of solar radiation increases, and the decrease rate of Vmpp when the module temperature increases is higher than the increase rate of Vmpp when the amount of solar radiation increases. In reality, Vmpp tends to decrease even when the amount of solar radiation increases.
インバータにおいて代表的なMPPTアルゴリズムとして、P&O(Perturb & Observe)、InCond(Incremental Conductance)方法などがある。 Thus, Vmpp changes according to the amount of solar radiation and temperature, and the rate of change has different characteristics for each manufacturer of PV modules. In the inverter, the PV output voltage must be controlled to Vmpp so that the PV module can produce the maximum output, and since the solar radiation amount and the temperature keep changing, the solar radiation amount and the module temperature change. , Vmpp to be changed must be continuously followed. As typical MPPT algorithms in inverters, there are P & O (Perturb & Observe), InCond (Incremental Conductance) methods and the like.
On the other hand, in the photovoltaic power generation system, the PV module with respect to the expected generated power is theoretically calculated as in Equation 1 by the IV characteristic curve with respect to the amount of solar radiation and the module temperature.
(Formula 1)
Power generation reference power = solar radiation / 1000 x facility capacity x (1-temperature coefficient (25-module temperature))
For example, when the temperature of the PV module is 25 ° C. and the amount of solar radiation is 500 W / m 2, the generated power will be generated by 50% of the installed capacity, which is the most ideal maximum output of the PV module. is there. In configuring a photovoltaic power generation system, the performance of the photovoltaic power generation system is determined by factors such as line loss, inverter conversion efficiency, inverter MPPT performance, and the azimuth angle and inclination angle of the PV module. The
FIG. 2 is a graph showing the output power (inverter output power) of the solar power generation system for 5 days.
In FIG. 2, blue is a power generation reference power calculated by Equation 1 with respect to the amount of solar radiation and temperature, and red means output power of the solar power generation system. The pink line means an input voltage by the MPPT control of the inverter, that is, Vmpp. FIG. 2 shows an example in which the output power of the inverter substantially matches the power generation reference power and operates normally.
However, in the case of FIG. 3, the output of the inverter does not reach the power generation reference power in a specific region. This is a case where the output of the inverter cannot follow Vmpp and diverges at a high voltage during MPPT control. . That is, FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an example in which a control error has occurred in the inverter MPPT of the photovoltaic power generation system according to the related art.
This frequently occurs due to an inverter control error when the temperature of the inverter is high, and when the control error frequently occurs, the photovoltaic power generation efficiency can be improved by improving the inverter control algorithm.
The present invention is intended to solve the above problems, and by constructing an adaptive model optimized for the installation site, comparing the reference Vmpp with the actual Vmpp and diagnosing the MPPT performance of the inverter The purpose of the present invention is to provide an inverter MPPT performance diagnostic apparatus and method for a photovoltaic power generation system that improves power generation efficiency.

On the other hand, the module temperature can be measured by attaching a module temperature sensor to the PV module or attaching a temperature sensor to a portion where the photovoltaic power generation unit 100 is installed. At this time, the data storage interval of the storage unit 160 can be set and stored at a desired value for each power plant.
The maximum output voltage estimation unit 170 functions to calculate the maximum output voltage with respect to the amount of solar radiation and temperature input from the measurement unit 150. For the maximum output voltage, after constructing an approximate model, the maximum output voltage is calculated using the approximate model.
In the present invention, the relationship between the amount of solar radiation collected by the measurement unit 150 and the maximum output voltage with respect to the module temperature is defined as a linear relationship, and is defined in a linear form as in the following Equation 2. In Equation 2, x1 is the amount of solar radiation, x2 is the module temperature, y is the maximum output voltage, a0, a1, a2, and a3 are polynomial coefficients, and the data stored for each photovoltaic power plant And can be calculated through learning.
Here, the coefficients a0, a1, a2, and a3 of the polynomial are calculated in the following steps.
Step 1: The solar radiation amount (X1), module temperature (X2), inverter input voltage (Y), and generated power are read from the data stored in the storage unit 160. The stored period is proportional to the number of data, and stored data of at least one month is read. FIG. 5A is an example in which the read data is shown in three dimensions.
Step 2: Exclude data stored during abnormal operation through filtering. First, the data set whose solar radiation amount is 300 or less is searched and removed. Then, the power generation reference power is calculated with respect to the solar radiation amount and the module temperature using Formula 1, and data having a difference of 20% or more between this value and the generated power is removed. In FIG. 5B, a blue point means a data set that is removed through filtering, and a red point indicates learning data extracted through filtering.
Step 3: Assuming that m pieces of filtering data are expressed as shown in FIG. 5C, the solar radiation amount (X1), the module temperature (X2), and the inverter input voltage (Y) are expressed by Equation 3, Equation 4, and Equation 5, respectively. Thus, an extended matrix defined as Equation 6 is generated using the input vector.
Step 4: The coefficient vector A of the polynomial is calculated using the least square method as shown in Equation 7. Here, it is a polynomial vector defined as A = [a0 a1 a2 a3] T, and X and Y are an extended matrix and an output vector defined as Equation 6 and Equation 5, respectively.
When an approximate model is constructed by the above-described method and a data set displayed as shown in FIG. 5C is applied, when a model displayed as follows is constructed, FIG. An example of displaying the input / output relationship is shown. This is a tilted plane equation.
Thus, after filtering the stored data, an approximate model defined as Equation 8 is constructed, and then the solar radiation amount (x1) and the module temperature (x2) collected by the measurement unit 150 in real time are represented by Equations. Substituting into 8, the maximum voltage can be estimated.
The maximum output voltage diagnosis unit 180 determines whether the MPPT is operating normally. Whether the MPPT control is operating normally by comparing the maximum output voltage estimated (predicted) with respect to the solar radiation amount and the module temperature by the maximum output voltage estimation unit 170 and the measured inverter input voltage. Diagnose.
At this time, the maximum output voltage of the photovoltaic power generation system does not use the difference between the estimated maximum output voltage and the inverter input voltage because the voltage range changes depending on the manufacturer of the PV module and the number of modules connected in series. The ratio is calculated as shown in Equation 9 for diagnosis. If the maximum output voltage tracking rate exceeds 105%, it is determined that there is an error in the maximum output tracking control.
(Formula 9)
Maximum output voltage tracking rate = inverter input voltage / estimated maximum output voltage x 100
The output unit 190 has a function of displaying whether or not the maximum output voltage tracking is normal. In some cases, the output unit 190 generates an event and immediately notifies the administrator.
