方法:
対象者:
12名の男性ランナー(平均 ± SD; 23.5 ± 3.9 歳; 70.7 ± 8.0 kg; 175.5 ± 5.7 cm; 55.9 ± 6.2 ml・kg・min-1)が本研究のためのボランティアとして集まった。全ての手順、リスク、および利益に関する説明を受けた後、各参加者は本研究への参加前にインフォームドコンセントを提出した。研究プロトコルは大学の治験審査委員会により承認された。研究プロトコルは二重盲検のクロスオーバーデザインであった。参加者は、本研究に登録している間、いかなる追加の栄養サプリメントまたは医薬を用いることも許されなかった。栄養サプリメントおよび能力向上薬の使用のスクリーニングは、参加者集めの間に全て記入してもらった既往歴の質問書を通じて行った。
テストプロトコル:
テストプロトコルを図1に示す。4つの異なる時点でデータを取得した。各セッションにおいて、以前に測定された最大酸素摂取量(VO2max)の75%で60分間のランニングを行うよう参加者に求めた。このランニング後、全ての参加者は疲労困憊になるまでVO2maxの90%でランニングを行った。全ての参加者は、いかなる水分補給もなく最初のトライアル(DHY)を行った。このセッションの間、トライアルでの総重量減少を決定した。そして、このセッションの間に生じた液体損失を用いて参加者の発汗速度(L・hr-1)を決定した。研究を継続するために、参加者の発汗速度は1.3 L・hr-1以上であった。次の3つのトライアルの間、15分毎に等量の250mlの液体を参加者に与えた。一つのトライアルの間に参加者はフレーバースポーツドリンクのみ(ELECTのみ)を摂取し、他のトライアルの間に参加者は低(LD: 500 ml当り300 mg)または高(HD: 500 ml当り1g)用量のいずれかで同じフレーバースポーツドリンク中に混合したアラニン-グルタミンサプリメント(SustamineTM)を摂取した。
各運動セッションの開始前および運動の終了時に、上半身および下半身の反応、追跡、および認知機能について参加者をテストした。プロトコルの間、15分毎に酸素消費、呼吸商、および心拍数を測定した。60分のランニングの間の10分毎に、および疲労するまでのランニングを通じて、筋電図(EMG)を測定した。最大EMG出力と比べた平均EMG信号を60分間のランニングおよび疲労するまでのランニングを通じて平均化した。
体水分測定
実験テストの開始の少なくとも1週間前に、連続しない日に2つの予備テストセッションを行った。参加者の体重を食後の体水分正常状態時に幾度か測定し、ベースラインの体重を確定した。凝固点降下により浸透圧(Uosm)について、および屈折率測定により尿比重(Usg)について尿サンプルを分析し、予備日の全てにおいて体水分正常を記録した。Usg≦ 1.020を体水分正常と定義した。
血液測定
各実験セッションの間に、ベースライン(BL)の血液サンプルを運動前に採取した。また、運動セッション中の30分、45分、および60分に追加の血液サンプルを採取した。全ての血液サンプルは、雄ルアーロックアダプターを有する3方コック栓を用いて前腕部の浅静脈に配置した20ゲージのテフロン(登録商標)カニューラを用いて採取した。等張の食塩水を用いて、カニューラを開いたままに維持した。BLの血液サンプルを運動前の15分間の平衡期間後に採取した。各セッションの間、1日の同じ時間に血液サンプルを採取した。
プレーンの、またはEDTA処理したチューブ中に血液サンプルを採取した。微小毛細管技術によるヘマトクリットおよびヘモグロビンについて、血液サンプルを三連で分析する。残りの全血を4oCで15分間1500gで遠心した。生じた血漿および血清を分注し、分析まで-80℃で保存した。サンプルの解凍は一度のみとした。
生化学的分析
自動分析装置(Analox GM7酵素代謝分析装置, Analox Instruments USA, ルーネンバーグ, MA)を用いて血漿グルコースおよび乳酸濃度を二連で決定した。製造者の指示書に従って分光光度計および市販の酵素キット(Abnova, 中れき市, 台湾)を用いて血漿グルタミンを分析した。BioTekEon分光光度計(BioTek, Winooski, VT, USA)を用いて血清の免疫反応性の値を決定した。イオン選択性電極(EasyElectrolyte, Medica, ベッドフォード, MA)により血漿ナトリウムおよびカリウム濃度を調べた。血漿浸透圧を凝固点降下(Model 3320; Micro-Sample Osmometer, Advanced Instruments, Inc., ノーウッド, MA)により測定した。

Claims (3)
- 長期持久運動中に摂取するドリンク剤であって、当該運動中に失われる水分量より少ない量を摂取することを特徴とする、600mg/L以上のアラニルグルタミンまたはその塩を有効成分として含む、集中力の向上用ドリンク剤。
- 2g/L以上のアラニルグルタミンまたはその塩を有効成分として含む、請求項1記載のドリンク剤。
- 集中力の向上が、学習における集中力の向上である、請求項1または2記載のドリンク剤。
