The present invention relates to a molded body and a wire harness.
Among automotive wire harnesses, wire harnesses used outside the vehicle, particularly in engine rooms, may come into contact with water such as rainwater. For this reason, in this kind of wire harness, a water stop process may be performed in an electric wire terminal, between electric wires, the inside of a housing, etc.

It is preferable that content of the said sulfur type compound exists in the range of 0.08-1.0 mass part with respect to 100 mass parts of said thermosetting silicone rubbers.
The gist of the water-stopping silicone rubber molding according to the present invention is a cured product of the water-stopping silicone rubber composition.
Moreover, the wire harness which concerns on this invention makes it a summary that said silicone rubber molded object for water stop is arrange | positioned at the water stop part of a wire harness.
The water-stop silicone rubber composition according to the present invention includes a platinum catalyst and a thermosetting silicone rubber, and has a Shore A hardness of 25 or less after curing and a breaking strength after curing of 5.0 MPa or more. When used in a water-stop part of a wire harness, the water-stop performance can be maintained even if bending or bending occurs. Further, according to the silicone rubber molded body for water stop according to the present invention and the wire harness according to the present invention using the same, water stop performance can be maintained even if bending or bending occurs.
Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.
The silicone rubber composition for water stop according to the present invention (hereinafter sometimes referred to as the present composition) is a silicone rubber composition for water stop used for a water stop portion of a wire harness, and includes a platinum catalyst and thermosetting. Including silicone rubber, the Shore A hardness after curing is 25 or less, and the breaking strength after curing is 5.0 MPa or more.
The thermosetting silicone rubber is an addition reaction type (addition curing type) silicone rubber, and includes an alkenyl group-containing organopolysiloxane as a main component and a hydrosilyl group-containing organopolysiloxane as a curing agent. The platinum catalyst is a crosslinking catalyst for thermosetting silicone rubber. Examples of the alkenyl group include a vinyl group, an allyl group, a butenyl group, and a pentenyl group. The organopolysiloxane has a polysiloxane chain (—Si—O—Si—O—) as a main chain and has an organic group on Si. Examples of the organic group of the organopolysiloxane include a methyl group, an ethyl group, and a phenyl group.
This composition is excellent in flexibility because the Shore A hardness after curing is 25 or less, and even when bending or bending occurs when used in the water-stop part of the wire harness, the water-stop part has cracks or gaps. The occurrence of such defects can be suppressed. Thereby, water stop performance can be maintained. Shore A hardness is measured according to JIS K6253. The Shore A hardness after curing is more preferably 23 or less, and even more preferably 20 or less. Further, the Shore A hardness after curing is preferably 15 or more from the viewpoint of ensuring strength. More preferably, it is 18 or more. By securing an appropriate strength, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of defects such as cracks and gaps in the water stop portion even when bending or bending occurs when used in the water stop portion of the wire harness.
In addition, this composition has a breaking strength after curing of 5.0 MPa or more, so that even when bending or bending occurs when used in the water-stop part of the wire harness, the water-stop part has cracks or gaps. It is possible to suppress the occurrence of defects. The breaking strength is measured according to JIS K6252. The breaking strength after curing is preferably 5.3 MPa or more, more preferably 7.0 MPa or more, and further preferably 7.5 MPa or more. Further, the breaking strength after curing is preferably 10.5 MPa or less. When the breaking strength after curing is 10.5 MPa or less, it is easy to ensure flexibility. The breaking strength after curing is more preferably 10.1 MPa or less, and still more preferably 9.5 MPa or less.
In this composition, the Shore A hardness after curing and the breaking strength after curing are affected by the composition of the thermosetting silicone rubber, etc., but only by adjusting the blend ratio of the main component and the curing agent, the Shore A hardness after curing Is difficult to reduce to the above range. In the present invention, for example, the Shore A hardness after curing is made lower than that of ordinary thermosetting silicone rubber by a method of reducing the crosslinking point of the silicone rubber by reducing the activity of the platinum catalyst. Along with this, the breaking strength after curing is also lowered. Examples of a method for reducing the crosslinking point of the silicone rubber by reducing the activity of the platinum catalyst include blending a sulfur compound with the platinum catalyst and the thermosetting silicone rubber. A sulfur compound is usually a catalyst poison of a platinum catalyst, and adding a sulfur compound in a thermosetting silicone rubber that is thermally cured using a platinum catalyst is avoided. In the present invention, in order to reduce the activity of the platinum catalyst and reduce the crosslinking point of the silicone rubber, a sulfur-based compound is blended.
The sulfur compound is not particularly limited, but a thiol compound having an SH group at the terminal is preferable from the viewpoint of easily reducing the activity of the platinum catalyst and reducing the crosslinking point of the silicone rubber. The thiol compound may be monofunctional or polyfunctional. The polyfunctional one is a compound having a plurality of SH groups in one molecule, and the monofunctional one is a compound having one SH group in one molecule.
It is preferable that content of a sulfur type compound exists in the range of 0.08-1.0 mass part with respect to 100 mass parts of thermosetting silicone rubber. More preferably, it exists in the range of 0.5-1.0 mass part. When the content of the sulfur compound is relatively increased, the effect of reducing the activity of the platinum catalyst and reducing the crosslinking point of the silicone rubber is improved, and the flexibility is improved. When the content of the sulfur compound is relatively reduced, a crosslinking point is secured and the strength is improved.
From the viewpoint of flexibility, the composition preferably has an elongation at break of 650% or more as a physical property after curing. More preferably, it is 700% or more. Moreover, it is preferable that a crosslinking density is 4.0x10 < -4 > mol / cc or less. Further, from the viewpoint of strength, it is preferable that the elongation at break is 900% or less as a physical property after curing. Moreover, it is preferable that a crosslinking density is 2.0 * 10 < -4 > mol / cc or more. The elongation at break is measured according to JIS K6252. The crosslinking density can be calculated from the measurement result of dynamic viscoelasticity. The composition is preferably in a liquid state at room temperature because it can be easily applied to a desired position and flexibility can be easily obtained.
The silicone rubber molded body for water-stopping according to the present invention (hereinafter sometimes referred to as the present molded body) obtained by using the present composition comprises a cured product of the present composition.
(Air leak test)
As shown in FIG. 4, the
In Comparative Example 1, the water-stopping silicone rubber was insufficient in flexibility, and when the water-stopping portion 6 was bent so as to apply a force, the water-stopping performance deteriorated and the air leak test did not satisfy the result. On the other hand, in Examples 1-8, the flexibility and strength of the water-stopping silicone rubber are sufficient, and the water-stopping performance is maintained even if the water-stopping portion 6 is bent so that the force is applied. It was a satisfactory result. In Comparative Example 2, the strength was insufficient due to poor curing, and the air leak test was not satisfactory.
