Abstract
Description
The present disclosure relates to a heat storage device using a latent heat storage material. It is related with the thermal storage apparatus which can cancel | release the supercooling state of a latent-heat thermal storage material at arbitrary timing especially.
As a heat storage medium, conventionally, a latent heat storage material that uses latent heat absorbed or released during a phase change between a solid phase and a liquid phase has been studied. Examples of the latent heat storage material include hydrated salt materials such as sodium sulfate decahydrate and sodium acetate trihydrate. Sodium sulfate decahydrate has physical properties of a freezing point of 32 ° C. and a latent heat of 260 J / g. Sodium sulfate decahydrate, together with sodium acetate trihydrate having a freezing point of 58 ° C., has high utility as a high-density heat storage medium for low-temperature exhaust heat of less than 100 ° C. For this reason, the application to the auxiliary heat source etc. of the warm water production | generation function for heating, a washing machine, etc. is examined.
A latent heat storage material such as sodium sulfate decahydrate has a characteristic of being in a supercooled state that maintains a liquid phase without causing a phase change even when the temperature is below the freezing point. By maintaining the latent heat storage material in a supercooled state, the latent heat can be stored over a long period of time. By releasing the supercooled state as necessary, that is, by causing a phase change of the latent heat storage material, the latent heat released with the phase change can be used.
However, the supercooled state is generally unstable, and it is difficult to achieve both the stable maintenance of the supercooled state and the release at an arbitrary timing. For example, sodium sulfate decahydrate and sodium acetate trihydrate have unique properties that can stably maintain a supercooled state even at a temperature 20 K or more lower than the freezing point. It was difficult to use latent heat.
On the other hand, means for canceling the supercooled state by applying a thermal shock due to temperature change to the subcooled latent heat storage material has been proposed. For example,
However, with the above-described conventional technology, it may be difficult to quickly and reliably cancel the supercooled state of the latent heat storage material.
One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a heat storage device that can reliably and quickly release a supercooled state of a latent heat storage material.
In order to solve the above problems, an aspect of the present invention includes a container that holds a latent heat storage material, a heat exchange unit that exchanges heat between the latent heat storage material in the container and a heat medium outside the container. The cooling unit for lowering the temperature of a part of the latent heat storage material when the latent heat storage material is at a temperature below the melting point and at least a part of the latent heat storage material is in a supercooled state, A heat storage device including a heating unit that raises the temperature of the other part of the latent heat storage material when the cooling unit is operating.
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a heat storage device that can reliably and quickly release the supercooled state of the latent heat storage material.
The knowledge which became the basis of this invention is as follows.
As described above, in the conventional methods disclosed in
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an experiment in which when a part of supercooled sodium acetate trihydrate is cooled to −10 to −15 ° C. with a Peltier element, the supercooled state is released (ie, nucleates). An example is given.
Thus, there has been a demand for a method that can reliably and promptly release the supercooled state even after holding the supercooled latent heat storage material at a temperature that is significantly below the freezing point of the latent heat storage material.
On the other hand, the present inventor has found a novel supercooling release means that can quickly form a large temperature gradient in the supercooled latent heat storage material, and thereby reliably and quickly cancel the supercooled state. It was.
One aspect of the present disclosure is based on the above findings, and the outline thereof is as follows.
The heat storage device according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a container that holds a latent heat storage material, a heat exchange unit that exchanges heat between the latent heat storage material in the container and a heat medium outside the container, and the latent heat storage. When the material has a temperature equal to or lower than the melting point and at least a part of the latent heat storage material is in a supercooled state, the cooling unit that lowers the temperature of the part of the latent heat storage material, and the cooling unit operates And a heating unit that raises the temperature of the other part of the latent heat storage material.
With the above configuration, even when the supercooled latent heat storage material is held at a temperature sufficiently lower than the freezing point, it is possible to release the supercooled state more quickly and more reliably than before and take out the latent heat. it can.

In one embodiment, the heating heat conductor is disposed so that a part thereof is in contact with the heat medium.
The distance between the cooling heat conductor and the heating heat conductor in the latent heat storage material may be, for example, more than 0 mm and 5 mm or less.
The heat medium may be water, for example.
The latent heat storage material may be, for example, sodium sulfate decahydrate.
A heat storage method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes (a) cooling a latent heat storage material in a liquid state to a first temperature lower than the melting point of the latent heat storage material, and supercooling at least a part of the latent heat storage material. A subcooling step for setting the state; (b) a holding step for holding the latent heat storage material at least partially in the supercooled state at the first temperature; and (c) cooling a part of the latent heat storage material. And a subcooling cancellation step of canceling the supercooling state of the latent heat storage material by heating another part of the latent heat storage material to generate a temperature gradient in the latent heat storage material.
(Embodiment 1)
Hereinafter, the heat storage apparatus of Embodiment 1 is demonstrated, referring drawings.
FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating the basic configuration of the
The
The
In the example shown in FIG. 1, the heat storage material unit U is accommodated in the
The cooling
In the present embodiment, the
For example, a heater or a solar heat collector may be used as the
FIG. 2 is a graph for explaining the effect of the supercooling release unit of this embodiment, and schematically shows the temperature change of the latent
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the first portion of the latent
The storage temperature t1 can be set to a temperature at which the supercooled state can be stably maintained. When the temperature for maintaining the latent heat storage material in the supercooled state is lowered, the molecular motion is reduced and the viscosity is increased, so that the transition to the crystal structure is suppressed. For example, in the case of a latent heat storage material such as sodium acetate trihydrate, particularly near room temperature (10 ° C. to 20 ° C.) due to the balance between the suppression force due to the decrease in molecular motion and the crystallization driving force due to the increase in supercooling. In this case, the supercooled state becomes more stable. For this reason, with the conventional methods disclosed in
The main component of the latent
Next, an example of a heat storage method using the
First, the liquid latent
Next, the latent
Thereafter, if necessary, the supercooling release unit is operated to release the supercooling state of the latent
Specifically, the temperature of the portion in contact with the
When the temperature difference ΔT (T1−T2) occurs in the region R of the latent
Heat can be stored in the latent

In the example shown in FIG. 5, the

(Embodiment 2)
Hereinafter, the heat storage device according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. The heat storage device of this embodiment is different from the heat storage device of the above-described embodiment in that a Peltier element is used as the cooling means and the heating means.
FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram illustrating a heat storage system including the
In the
The arrangement and shape of the
As shown in FIG. 8, the
As described above, the temperature T1 at the first contact point p1 between the
According to the present embodiment, the power
Further, the sensible heat of the latent
In the present embodiment, the heat from the
<Examples and Comparative Examples>
According to the above-described embodiment, the time required to nucleate the latent heat storage material can be shortened by simultaneously cooling and heating the subcooled latent heat storage material. An experiment was conducted to confirm this effect, and the method and results will be described.
Evaluation Device FIG. 8 is a schematic diagram showing the evaluation device used in the experiment. The evaluation device is manufactured as follows. First, a glass container in which the latent
FIG. 9 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a part of the
In this embodiment, a 30 wt% sodium sulfate aqueous solution is used as the latent
Example 1
First, the latent
Next, the
Further, as Comparative Example 1, the temperature T1 until the latent

Measurement of temperature gradient increase rate Subsequently, the latent
It is considered that the temperature gradient increase rate increases as the current applied to the
Similarly, the relationship between the temperature gradient increase rate and the nucleation time when only the latent
The measurement results are shown in FIG. As can be seen from FIG. 12, when only the latent
From the above experimental results, it was found that by performing heating simultaneously with the cooling of the latent heat storage material, the thermal shock applied to the latent heat storage material can be increased without changing the cooling capacity of the cooling means. Therefore, it has been confirmed that the supercooled state of the latent heat storage material can be released quickly and reliably by the above embodiment.
An embodiment of the present disclosure is directed to an auxiliary heat source for enabling high-temperature hot air / warm water to be output quickly while suppressing the capacity and energy of a heat source such as a heater required when starting a heating device or a hot water generation device, and an automobile. It is useful as a heat source for warming up internal combustion engines, transmissions, storage batteries, and the like.
