Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing reduced iron by reducing iron oxide using a reducing gas.
In recent years, as a method for producing reduced iron, iron oxide as a raw material and a reducing gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide are supplied to a vertical reduction furnace called a shaft furnace to reduce the iron oxide. A method for producing reduced iron has attracted attention. In this method, natural gas or the like is used as a raw material gas that is a raw material of the reducing gas. The raw material gas is heated and reformed in the reformer, thereby generating the reducing gas. The reducing gas is introduced into the reduction furnace and contacts the iron oxide contained in the pellets supplied from the upper part of the reduction furnace to reduce the iron oxide. In this way, the reduced iron produced in the reduction furnace is sequentially discharged from the lower discharge port of the reduction furnace. The gas after contributing to the reduction of the iron oxide is discharged from the top of the reduction furnace, introduced into the furnace top gas regulator, and collected and cooled. A part of the gas after dust collection and cooling is reused as a process gas sent to the reformer as a raw material of the reformed gas and a fuel gas sent to the combustion chamber of the reformer.
A cooling region is set in the lower part of the reduction furnace, and a cooling gas is supplied to the cooling region. This cooling gas is a gas intended to cool the produced reduced iron in the cooling region and prevent reoxidation and decarburization thereof, thereby keeping the quality of the product reduced iron high. For this purpose, natural gas is generally used as the cooling gas. The natural gas is suitable as a cooling gas because it contains a large amount of methane having a large heat capacity and contains almost no oxygen that causes reoxidation or decarburization of reduced iron. On the other hand, since this cooling gas is not intended to contribute to the reduction of iron oxide, the cooling gas can be reused by circulating the cooling gas along a circulation path including a cooling region in the reduction furnace. Done. The circulation path is appropriately supplied with a cooling gas from a cooling gas supply source, and is provided with a wet dust collecting cooler for cooling gas for collecting and cooling the cooling gas.
Although the circulation path of the cooling gas is basically a loop, it is connected to the space above and below the circulation path in the reduction furnace, so that the component of the circulation gas varies as the circulation is repeated. Specifically, the content rate of natural gas in the circulating gas decreases as the cooling gas continues to circulate. In order to maintain the component, it is sufficient to supply a large amount of natural gas to the circulation path. However, if the supply is excessive, excess cooling gas enters the reduction zone and lowers the temperature of the reduction zone. There is a risk of adversely affecting the reduction reaction.
The present invention provides a method for producing reduced iron by reducing iron oxide in a reduction furnace, and is capable of supplying an appropriate cooling gas into the reduction furnace. is there.
Provided is a method for producing reduced iron by reducing iron oxide, wherein the iron oxide is reduced by contacting with a reducing gas while lowering the iron oxide from the top of the tower in a reduction furnace. Reduced iron is generated, and the reduced iron is discharged from the bottom of the reduction furnace, and the top gas of the reduction furnace is extracted to adjust the moisture content and perform a dust removal process. A reformed gas generation step of generating a reformed gas in the reformer by generating a gas and supplying at least the process gas into the reformer; and the generated reformed gas as the reducing gas A reducing gas supply step for supplying to the reducing furnace, and a cooling gas for circulating the cooling gas containing natural gas along the circulation path including the cooling region set at the lower part of the reduction furnace and supplying the natural gas to the circulation path Gas reforming step and a part of the cooling gas circulating along the circulation path, and the extracted gas is a gas supplied to the reformer for the operation of the reformer And a cooling gas mixing step of mixing with. Examples of the reformer gas include the process gas and fuel gas.
According to this method, it is possible to stabilize the circulating cooling gas components by replenishing the cooling gas circulation path with a large amount of cooling gas and extracting an appropriate amount from the circulation path. In addition, by mixing an appropriate amount of the extracted cooling gas, i.e., the cooling gas heated by heat exchange with the reduced iron in the cooling region in the reduction furnace, with the reformer gas supplied to the reformer, The cooling gas can be used as part of the reformer gas.
The natural gas constituting the cooling gas generally contains sulfur, but the sulfur content in the cooling gas can be reduced by adsorbing the sulfur to the reduced iron in the reduction furnace. By mixing the cooling gas from which sulfur has been removed in this manner with the reformer gas, the sulfur concentration of the reformer gas can be reduced. In particular, when the ratio of the cooling gas added to the reformer gas is large, it is possible to omit or simplify the sulfur reduction process that is a pretreatment of the reformer gas.
Preferably, the cooling gas circulation step includes cooling the cooling gas circulating by providing a cooling gas cooler in the cooling gas circulation path with the cooling gas cooler. In this case, in the cooling gas mixing step, it is preferable that the cooling gas is extracted from a position on the upstream side of the cooling gas cooler, which makes it possible to reduce the thermal load of the cooling gas cooler. For example, when the cooling gas cooler includes a scrubber that adds water to the cooling gas, the amount of water added can be reduced.
The cooling gas mixing step preferably includes mixing the cooling gas extracted from the circulation path with the process gas. This makes it possible to reduce the required amount of the process gas. Here, “mixing the cooling gas into the process gas” does not mean that the cooling gas is mixed only with the process gas derived from the furnace top gas regulator, but is supplemented with the process gas. And mixing the cooling gas with a feed gas which is composed of natural gas and is supplied to the reformer. In this case also, the process gas and the cooling gas contained in the feed gas are mixed.
However, when the reformed gas generation step includes preheating the process gas by a preheater and then introducing the reformed gas into the reformer, the cooling gas mixing step is performed before the process gas is preheated by the preheater. It is preferable to include mixing the cooling gas. This mixing makes it possible to evaporate the moisture contained in the process gas by utilizing the heat of the cooling gas, that is, the sensible heat of the reduced iron, and the related equipment (for example, in the preheater) due to the moisture. It is possible to prevent corrosion of piping and ducts. When the cooling gas cooler is provided in the cooling gas circulation path, this effect becomes even more remarkable by mixing the high temperature gas upstream of the cooling gas cooler with the process gas.
The cooling gas mixing step preferably includes a cooling process and / or a dust process before mixing the cooling gas extracted from the cooling gas circulation path with the process gas. In the cooling process, heat of the cooling gas is applied to a downstream compressor (for example, a compressor for circulation provided in the cooling gas circulation path or a compressor for process gas used for compression of the process gas). The dust treatment prevents the dust contained in the cooling gas from causing an operation failure of the downstream equipment (for example, the cooling gas compressor or the process gas compressor).
When the cooling treatment of the cooling gas is performed by adding water to the cooling gas, the cooling gas mixing step includes the composition of the reformed gas introduced into the reduction furnace (for example, the hydrogen concentration in the reformed gas and It is more preferable to include measuring the ratio of carbon monoxide concentration) and adjusting the amount of water added to the cooling gas based on the measured composition. These make it possible to optimize the composition of the reformed gas introduced into the reduction furnace by effectively using water for cooling the cooling gas.
Alternatively, it is also effective that the cooling gas mixing step detects the moisture concentration of the process gas and adjusts the amount of water added to the cooling gas so that the detected moisture concentration approaches a target value. It is. The moisture concentration can be easily detected by, for example, measuring the temperature and pressure of the process gas and estimating and calculating the moisture concentration based on the temperature and pressure of the process gas. .
Alternatively, the cooling gas mixing step may include mixing the extracted cooling gas with the fuel gas supplied to the reformer. This makes it possible to reduce the fuel gas requirement. Also in this case, it is preferable that the cooling gas is subjected to dust removal treatment before being supplied to the reformer. This dust removal treatment prevents dust contained in the cooling gas from damaging the burner of the reformer.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is a method for producing reduced iron by reducing iron oxide in a reducing furnace, and it is possible to supply an appropriate cooling gas into the reducing furnace. Methods are provided.

Next, a method for producing reduced iron performed in this system will be described. This method is based on the following processes: 1) generation of reduced iron by reduction of iron oxide, 2) generation of reformed gas by reforming feed gas containing process gas, 3) generated reformed gas Supply of the reducing gas to the reduction furnace, 4) circulation of the cooling gas, and 5) extraction of the excess cooling gas and mixing thereof with the process gas.

Specifically, the furnace
A part of the gas in the furnace

3) Supply of reducing gas to the reducing furnace The reformed gas is fed as a reducing gas to the
4) Cooling gas circulation The cooling
Specifically, the cooling gas supplied to the lower end of the
The cooling gas heated up as described above and led out of the furnace from the upper end of the
The amount of natural gas replenished to the cooling
5) Extraction and use of surplus cooling gas As described above, the surplus cooling gas flowing in the cooling
In this embodiment, the cooling gas sent to the
Thus, the cooling gas transferred along the cooling
The temperature of the process gas derived from the furnace
The natural gas replenished in each place generally contains sulfur, but the sulfur contained in the cooling gas is obtained by adsorbing sulfur contained in the natural gas constituting the cooling gas to the reduced iron in the
In addition, extracting an appropriate amount of cooling gas at a position upstream of the cooling
Here, the appropriate amount of the cooling gas may be mixed with the process gas after the natural gas is replenished, that is, the feed gas. Alternatively, the appropriate amount of the cooling gas may be mixed with the feed gas after being preheated by the
FIG. 2 shows a system for producing reduced iron according to the second embodiment of the present invention. In this system, a
That is, the method for producing reduced iron according to the second embodiment includes the composition of the reducing gas introduced into the
This effect is obtained by measuring the temperature and pressure of the process gas derived from the furnace
FIG. 3 shows a system for manufacturing reduced iron according to the third embodiment created from such a viewpoint. In this system, instead of the
When the furnace
The means for detecting the moisture concentration of the process gas is not limited to the combination of the temperature and pressure measurements and the moisture concentration estimation calculation based on the temperature and pressure. The detection may be performed directly by a dedicated moisture concentration sensor, for example.
It is preferable that the temperature of the process gas is controlled within a preset appropriate temperature range. The control can be performed by adjusting the temperature of the cooling water supplied to the top gas in the
It goes without saying that the methods according to the second and third embodiments described above can similarly obtain the effects obtained by the method according to the first embodiment.
FIG. 4 shows a system for producing reduced iron according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention. In this system, the surplus cooling gas is transferred to the upstream side (that is, between the furnace
In the fourth embodiment, although depending on the amount of excess cooling gas, the temperature of the gas sucked into the
Also in the fourth embodiment, the effects obtained by the first embodiment can be obtained similarly. Further, the system shown in FIG. 4 includes a gas analyzer 47 (or a gas thermometer 47T and a
FIG. 5 shows a system for producing reduced iron according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention. In the fifth embodiment, the surplus cooling gas is transferred by the cooling
In this way, mixing an appropriate amount of the cooling gas with the fuel gas makes it possible to reduce the amount of natural gas to be replenished as the fuel gas. Further, mixing the appropriate amount of the cooling gas with the fuel gas and mixing with the process gas may be performed simultaneously in the same system.
The
In the first to fifth embodiments, the cooling gas before being cooled by the cooling
The effect of stabilizing the components of the circulating cooling gas by supplying a large amount of cooling gas and extracting an appropriate amount of cooling gas included in the first to fifth embodiments is related to the destination of the extracted appropriate amount of cooling gas. It holds true. For example, even when the appropriate amount of the cooling gas is mixed with the reducing gas flowing through the reducing
