Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a tire, and more particularly to a tire capable of improving durability while maintaining uneven wear resistance.
Conventionally, tires are required to have both a plunger durability performance against a projection input when a projection on the road surface is stepped on and a shoulder edge wear resistance performance that occurs near the ground contact edge of the shoulder portion, which is a type of uneven wear. Yes. In Patent Document 1, in the tire belt structure, a first belt layer made of a cord extending at an angle larger than 45 ° with respect to the tire circumferential direction on the outer circumferential side of the crown region of the carcass, and the tire circumferential direction A second belt layer comprising a cord extending toward the tire and a third belt layer comprising a cord extending at an angle of 30 ° or less in the opposite direction to the cord of the first belt layer with respect to the tire circumferential direction Sequentially arranged from the inner side in the radial direction, the width W3 of the third belt layer is 80% or more of the tread width W, and the width W2 of the second belt layer <the width W1 of the first belt layer <the width of the third belt layer. A technique for improving plunger durability performance and shoulder edge wear resistance performance by making the relationship of W3 is disclosed.
However, in the case of the belt structure, since the second belt layer in which the extending direction of the cord is oriented in the circumferential direction has a single layer structure, a problem occurs in the joint portion of the second belt layer when there is a projection input. There is a possibility that the durability performance as a tire is lowered. That is, the second belt layer in which the cord extends in the circumferential direction has an effect of holding the shape of the tire by receiving the tension when the inner pressure is filled, particularly when the load is rolled, and suppressing the tire's expansion and deformation. When there is a projection input, a problem is likely to occur in the joint portion of the second belt layer. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a tire having improved durability performance as a tire by improving plunger durability performance.
As a tire structure for solving the above-mentioned problems, it extends at an angle of 45 ° or more with respect to the tire circumferential direction on the outer peripheral side of the crown portion of the carcass extending in a toroidal shape between the pair of bead portions. A first belt made of a cord, a second belt made of a cord extending in the tire circumferential direction, a third belt made of a cord extending in the tire circumferential direction, and a cord of the first belt In the opposite direction, the fourth belt formed of a cord that is inclined and extended at an angle of 30 ° or less with respect to the tire circumferential direction, and the cord of the fourth belt is opposite to the cord in the tire circumferential direction and 35 ° with respect to the tire circumferential direction A fifth belt made of a cord that is inclined and extended at the above angle was sequentially arranged from the inner side in the tire radial direction.
According to this configuration, since the plunger durability performance is improved, the durability performance of the tire can be improved.
As another configuration of the tire, the second belt and the third belt are formed by spirally winding a ribbon-shaped belt strip.
According to this configuration, since the end region when winding is narrowed, failure of the belt structure caused by the joint portion when the belt formed in a sheet shape is wound can be prevented.
As another configuration of the tire, when the width of the first belt is W1, the width of the second belt is W2, the width of the third belt is W3, and the width of the fourth belt is W4, W2 = W3 < W1 <W4.
According to this configuration, in addition to the above effects, the first belt cord and the fourth belt cord that are inclined in different directions with respect to the tire circumferential direction intersect at the shoulder portion, so that the rigidity of the shoulder portion is improved. In addition, the belt distortion at the shoulder portion is reduced, and the shoulder edge wear resistance can be further enhanced.
As another configuration of the tire, W5 <W4 when the width of the fifth belt is W5.
According to this configuration, in addition to the above effects, the fifth belt overlaps with the second belt to the fourth belt with a different width, so that the rigidity of the belt layer including the first belt to the fifth belt is improved, and the belt end portion is Durability can be improved.
As another configuration of the tire, the width W5 of the fifth belt is 80% to 90% of the tread width W.
According to this configuration, in addition to the above effects, the endurance performance of the end portion of the belt layer can be enhanced.

Hereinafter, the structure of the tire T according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. The dimensions such as the width of each belt in the following description are dimensions measured in a no-load state in which the tire T assembled to the applicable rim is filled with the specified internal pressure. The “applicable rim” refers to a rim defined in the following standards according to the tire size. Specifically, it is an industrial standard that is effective in the region where tires are produced or used. In Japan, “JATMA YEAR BOOK” of the Japan Automobile Tire Association, and in the United States, THE TIRE AND RIM ASSOCIATION INC. In addition, the “specified internal pressure” refers to an air pressure specified corresponding to the maximum load capacity in each of the above standards. The “maximum load capacity” is the maximum mass that is allowed to be applied to the tire according to each of the above standards. The “tread width” is the length in the width direction between the tread ends measured in the above state. The “tread end” refers to the outermost contact position in the tire width direction on the contact surface when a load corresponding to the maximum load capacity is applied to the tire T in the above state.

4A to 4D are development views showing an embodiment of the formation process of the
The
As shown in FIG. 4A, when the
Next, as shown in FIG. 4B, the
Next, as shown in FIG. 4 (c), the
Next, as shown in FIG. 4D, the
In the above embodiment, the winding start end S of the
Moreover, the formation form of the
In the above embodiment, when the
Since the
As the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
In this way, the
In general, a tire has a small radius from the center in the tire width direction to the shoulder portion. Therefore, a difference in rotational speed occurs between the center portion and the shoulder portion when the tire T rotates due to the difference in radius. Since the rotation speed of the center portion is slower than the rotation speed of the shoulder portion, a shearing force in the braking direction (direction opposite to the tire rotation direction) is generated in the shoulder portion having a high rotation speed. This shearing force is one of the factors that cause uneven wear in the shoulder portion.
Therefore, as described above, the end portions in the width direction of the
In the present embodiment, the

More preferably, by setting the width W5 of the
In particular, from the viewpoint of improving the durability performance of the belt end portion, for example, the
Under the specifications shown below, a comparative example tire 1 of size 315 / 60R22.5 and example tires 1 to 6 were respectively prototyped, and for each tire, a shoulder edge wear resistance test, a plunger durability test, a belt layer An endurance performance test was conducted.
As shown in FIG. 1, Example tires 1 to 6 are inclined at an inclination angle θ of 50 ° with respect to the tire circumferential direction on the outer peripheral side of a crown region of a carcass extending in a toroidal shape between a pair of bead portions. A

The comparative example tire 1 is provided with a third belt by winding a belt strip formed with the
Each of the prototype tires described above was assembled on a rim having a rim size of 9.00 × 22.5 inches, the following various evaluations were performed under the conditions of an internal pressure of 900 kPa and a load load of a normal load (4000 kgf).
<Shoulder edge wear resistance test>
The shoulder edge wear resistance test is a test for examining uneven wear resistance in the tread portion. The wear energy at the shoulder edge end, which is the core of the shoulder edge wear, is measured for each of the comparative example tire 1 and the example tires 1 to 6 with the wear energy drum, and the measurement result of the wear energy in the comparative example tire 1 is indexed as 100. Relative evaluation. The evaluation results are shown in Table 1. The larger the value, the better the shoulder edge wear resistance.
<Plunger durability test>
The plunger durability performance test is a test for examining the durability of the
<Belt layer end durability test>
The belt layer end portion durability performance test is a test for examining the durability performance at the belt end where the distortion is most likely to occur in the
