1つ以上の実施形態において、本発明の触媒組成物は、1,2−ジクロロエタンへエチレンを変換するためのオキシ塩素化プロセスに使用される。これらのプロセスは、参照により組み込まれる米国特許第5,292,703号及び米国公開第2009/0054708号、米国公開第2009/0298682号、米国公開第2010/0274061号、米国公開第2006/0129008号、及び米国公開第2004/0192978号に開示されるように既知である。1つ以上の実施形態において、プロセスは、流動床反応器を使用する。特定の実施形態において、プロセスはバッフル付床反応器を使用する。
触媒は、2工程含浸プロセスを用いて、所望の金属塩化物の水溶液でアルミナ担体を含浸することによって調製したが、単一工程含浸を用いて調製した比較例1については例外であった。金属塩化物溶液を、セラミック皿中で回転させ、撹拌しながらアルミナ担体に添加した。各含浸を室温で行った。各含浸に続いて、触媒を含有するセラミック皿を、初期乾燥期間(約4〜6時間)のためにスチーム浴上に配置し、次いで最終乾燥期間(16時間まで)のために180℃まで加熱した。
Claims (14)
- 担持された銅触媒の存在下で、エチレンが1,2−ジクロロエタンに変換されるタイプのオキシ塩素化プロセスにおいて、改善が:(i)第1の工程内で、アルミナ担体を、銅、場合によりアルカリ土類金属、及びアルカリ金属を含む第1の水溶液で含浸し、それによって第1の触媒構成成分を形成すること;及び(ii)後続工程内で、前記第1の触媒構成成分を銅及びアルカリ土類金属を含む第2の水溶液で含浸し、ここで前記第2の水溶液がアルカリ金属を実質的に欠いており、それによって担持された触媒を形成することによって、調製される前記担持された触媒の使用を含む、プロセス。
- 前記オキシ塩素化プロセスが流動床反応器内で行われる、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記流動床反応器がバッフル付床反応器である、請求項2に記載のプロセス。
- 前記担持された触媒が約5.0〜約12重量%の銅を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記担持された触媒が約0.25〜約3.0重量%のアルカリ土類金属を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記担持された触媒が約0.25〜約1.6重量%のアルカリ土類金属を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記担持された触媒が約0.5〜約2.25重量%のレアアース金属を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記アルカリ土類金属がマグネシウムである、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記アルカリ金属がカリウムである、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記第2の水溶液が、前記触媒組成物の重量全体に基づいて、0.22重量%を超えるアルカリ土類金属の追加のアルカリ土類金属濃度を付与する、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 1,2−ジクロロエタンへのエチレンのオキシ塩素化のための触媒を製造するためのプロセスであって、前記プロセスが:
(i)第1の工程内で、アルミナ担体を、銅、アルカリ土類金属、及びアルカリ金属を含む第1の水溶液で含浸し、それによって第1の触媒構成成分を形成する工程;及び
(ii)後続工程内で、前記第1の触媒構成成分を銅及びアルカリ土類金属を含む第2の水溶液で含浸し、ここで前記第2の水溶液がアルカリ金属を実質的に欠いており、それによって前記担持された触媒を形成する工程;
を含む、プロセス。 - 前記アルカリ土類金属がマグネシウムであり、該第2の水溶液が0.19を超えるマグネシウムと銅とのモル比を含む、請求項11に記載のプロセス。
- 触媒、酸素及び塩化水素の存在下、エチレンを1,2−ジクロロエタンへ変換する工程であって、ここで前記触媒が:(i)第1の工程内で、アルミナ担体を、銅、アルカリ土類金属、及びアルカリ金属を含む第1の水溶液で含浸し、それによって第1の触媒構成成分を形成すること;及び(ii)後続工程内で、前記第1の触媒構成成分を銅及びアルカリ土類金属を含む第2の水溶液で含浸し、ここで前記第2の水溶液がアルカリ金属を実質的に欠いており、それによって前記担持された触媒を形成することによって、製造される工程
を含む、オキシ塩素化プロセス。 - 前記アルカリ土類金属がマグネシウムであり、該第2の水溶液が0.19を超えるマグネシウムと銅とのモル比を含む、請求項13に記載のプロセス。
