Abstract
Description
本発明のさまざまな態様に従った二硫化モリブデン球状粉末生産物10を図1〜4に写真で示す。これは、図5に例示するプロセス12により生産することができる。大まかに言えば、二硫化モリブデン球状粉末生産物10は複数の概して球形の粒子14を含み、粒子14は、図2でよくわかるように、それ自体がより小さな副粒子16の凝集体である。副粒子16は、一緒に密着または凝集しているフレーク様またはプレート様の粒子を含み、これにより概して球形の粒子14を形成している。したがって、球形の凝集粒子14は、概して平滑で球形度の高い外側表面を有するが(例えば、図1に示すように)、それにも関わらず、ラメラ型構造を含む(例えば、図2および図3に示すように)。したがって、本発明に従った二硫化モリブデン球状粉末生産物10は、選択的に“積層フレークで作られた球体”と特徴付けることができる。

Claims (16)
- 研磨剤、充填剤、バインダー、および摩擦改質剤を含む摩擦材料組成物であって、前記摩擦改質剤が球状二硫化モリブデン粉末を含み、前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末が、一緒に凝集して個々の実質的に球形の粒子を形成している二硫化モリブデン副粒子を含み、前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末が、少なくとも約90重量%の二硫化モリブデンを含む、前記摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末が、前記摩擦材料組成物の約0.1重量%〜約10重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末が、前記摩擦材料組成物の約0.5重量%〜約8重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末が、前記摩擦材料組成物の約1重量%〜約5重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 個々の実質的に球形の凝集粒子が約1μm〜約500μmの範囲のサイズを有する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 個々の実質的に球形の凝集粒子が約20μm〜約200μmの範囲のサイズを有する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 個々の実質的に球形の凝集粒子が約50μm〜約100μmの範囲のサイズを有する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記研磨剤が、前記摩擦材料組成物の約1重量%〜約15重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記研磨剤が、酸化アルミニウム、酸化鉄、石英、シリカおよびケイ酸ジルコニウムからなる群より選択される1以上を含む、請求項8に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記充填剤が、前記摩擦材料組成物の約10重量%〜約50重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記充填剤が、有機繊維、無機繊維、金属繊維、石灰、チタン酸カリウム、ゴム、および酸化亜鉛からなる群より選択される1以上を含む、請求項10に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記バインダーが、前記摩擦材料組成物の約5重量%〜約25重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 前記バインダーが、フェノール樹脂、変性樹脂、クレゾール、エポキシ、カシューダスト、ポリビニルブチラール、ゴム、アマニ油、およびホウ素からなる群より選択される1以上を含む、請求項12に記載の摩擦材料組成物。
- 研磨剤と、充填剤と、バインダーと、概してフレーク状の二硫化モリブデン副粒子の凝集体である実質的に球形の二硫化モリブデン粒子を含む球状二硫化モリブデン粉末とを含む摩擦材料組成物であって、前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末が、少なくとも約90重量%の二硫化モリブデンを含む、前記摩擦材料組成物。
- 研磨剤材料、充填剤材料、およびバインダー材料を包含するタイプの摩擦材料組成物において、製造中に、該摩擦材料組成物に、球状二硫化モリブデン粉末を、前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末が摩擦材料組成物の全体にわたり実質的に均一に分散するように加えることを含む、改善、これに関し、前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末は、概してフレーク状の二硫化モリブデン副粒子を含む。
- 以下を含む、摩擦材料組成物の作製方法:
研磨剤材料、充填剤材料、およびバインダー材料の各供給物を提供し;
球状二硫化モリブデン粉末の供給物を提供し、これに関し、前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末は、概してフレーク状の二硫化モリブデン副粒子の凝集体を含む;
前記研磨剤材料、前記充填剤材料、前記バインダー材料、および前記球状二硫化モリブデン粉末を一緒に混合して、実質的に均質な混合物を形成し;
該実質的に均質な混合物を圧粉して、予備形成物品を形成し;そして
該予備形成物品を熱圧して、摩擦材料組成物を形成する。
