プラスチック製のハンガーのアタッチメント２と左右のハンガーアーム３とを回転可能に連結すると共に左右のハンガーアームの横バー３ｂを略中央で回転可能に連結し、衣服が掛かって開いているハンガーの片側のハンガーアーム３と握り部５を洗濯物と一緒に握りハンガーを変形させ、左右の横バー３ｂの連結部３ｃの位置がアタッチメントの連結部３ａの水平線より高い位置になるとハンガーに閉じる力が働き、閉じているハンガーの横バーの連結部３ｃの位置がアタッチメントの連結部３ａの水平線より低い位置にするとハンガーに開く力が働く構造の開閉式ハンガーであり、片側のハンガーアームと握り部５を握ることでハンガーが歪みハンガーの閉じる力を阻害することを防止する機構をアタッチメントとハンガーアームの連結部間に備える。
ハンガーアームを握る力を伝えやすくするために横バー下に握り部５を設ける。これを折り畳んだハンガーの左右の横バー間に収納する空間の確保およびハンガーアームを握った手を横バー間で強く挟まないための空間の確保に横バーの連結部側の形状は一定の長さＬ３を有するＬ字型にすると共に横バー下に横バーの偏りを防ぎつつ空間を確保するためのストッパー３ｄを設け、左右の横バー間に一定の空間Ｌ４を確保する。
さらに、横バーにはハンガーを親指で開くための凹部３ｅを設けると共に多種の使用幅の洗濯物に対応するスライド部材４をハンガーアームの上部に取り付け、一時的に洗濯物を仮掛けする突起部２ａをアタッチメント部に設ける
