Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the discharge of water from a fuel cell.
As a fuel cell, there is known a fuel cell having a cell stack in which a large number of single cells are stacked, and a manifold for circulating a reaction gas extending inside the cell stack along the stacking direction of the single cells. . In such a fuel cell, when the water generated by the electrochemical reaction on the cathode side or the water for humidification contained in the reaction gas accumulates in each single cell, so-called flooding occurs, which hinders the flow of the reaction gas, and the cell voltage May decrease. Further, when the cell voltage decreases, the potential fluctuation in the corresponding single cell increases and the catalyst is more likely to deteriorate. Therefore, a fuel cell system that performs so-called drainage scavenging in which water is discharged by the reaction gas by supplying more reaction gas to the fuel cell than usual is proposed. In the fuel cell system described in
However, in the conventional drainage scavenging, for example, in the following configuration, drainage may not be performed sufficiently. In the fuel cell system in which the reaction gas supply manifold is located below the cell stack and the reaction gas discharge manifold is located above the cell stack in a state where the cell stack is placed, The water in the single cell is pushed up to the reaction gas discharge manifold. However, the flow rate of off-gas at a portion far from the outlet in the reaction gas discharge manifold, that is, the total flow rate of off-gas discharged from each single cell in contact with the corresponding portion is small, and in general, drain scavenging is about 1 to 2 seconds. Therefore, it is possible that the water lifted to such a portion is not carried toward the outlet of the reaction gas discharge manifold. In this case, after the drainage scavenging is completed, water returns from the reaction gas discharge manifold to each single cell, and there is a possibility that the drainage may not be performed sufficiently. In this case, even if the cell voltage drop temporarily disappears due to the drainage scavenging, the cell voltage may fall again after that. For this reason, suppression of the drainage fall in the reactive gas discharge manifold of a fuel cell was calculated | required.
SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and the invention can be implemented as the following forms.
(1) According to one aspect of the present invention, a fuel cell system is provided. The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell having a plurality of stacked single cells; and inside the fuel cell along a stacking direction of the plurality of single cells to supply a reaction gas to the plurality of single cells. An extended supply manifold; located above the supply manifold in the gravitational direction, and disposed inside the fuel cell along the stacking direction to discharge off-gas and water discharged from the plurality of single cells. A discharge manifold that extends to the fuel cell; a discharge blow execution unit that discharges water accumulated in a pipe communicating with the discharge manifold by supplying the reaction gas to the fuel cell; and the fuel cell The operation environment is a multi-water operation environment in which the amount of water stored in the discharge manifold can be larger than that during normal operation of the fuel cell; and In the case where the operation state of the fuel cell is a multi-water operation state in which the amount of water stored in the discharge manifold can be larger than that in the normal operation of the fuel cell, and at least one of the cases, A gas supply amount control unit that controls the flow rate of the reaction gas supplied to be larger than that during normal operation of the fuel cell and less than that during execution of the exhaust blow. According to the fuel cell system of this embodiment, the reactive gas is used in at least one of the case where the operating environment of the fuel cell is a multi-water operating environment and the case where the operating status of the fuel cell is a multi-water operating situation. Since the flow rate of the fuel cell is increased as compared with the normal operation of the fuel cell, it is possible to prevent water from being accumulated in the discharge manifold. In addition, since the flow rate of the reaction gas at this time is reduced compared to when the discharge blow is performed, the fuel cell can be prevented from being excessively dried due to excessive supply of the reaction gas, and the drying in each single cell can be suppressed. It is possible to suppress a decrease in power generation efficiency due to.
(2) In the fuel cell system of the above aspect, it is further specified that the operating environment of the fuel cell is the multi-water operating environment or that the operating status of the fuel cell is the multi-water operating status. An operation specifying unit may be provided. According to the fuel cell system of this aspect, since it is specified that the environment is a multi-water operation environment or a multi-water operation situation, the reaction gas is appropriately timed based on the specified environment and situation. The flow rate can be controlled.
(3) The fuel cell system according to the above aspect further includes a posture related information acquisition unit that acquires posture related information that is information related to a posture of the fuel cell with respect to a horizontal plane, and the operation specifying unit includes the posture related information in the posture related information. The fuel cell operating environment is determined when the position of the fuel cell specified based on the above is a position in which a portion farther from the outlet of the discharge manifold in the fuel cell is positioned lower than a portion closer to the outlet. The multi-water operation environment may be specified. According to the fuel cell system of this aspect, since the position of the fuel cell is a position that is positioned lower than the portion closer to the outlet of the discharge manifold than the portion closer to the outlet of the discharge manifold, Even in an operating environment where water is likely to accumulate, it is possible to prevent water from accumulating in the discharge manifold.
(4) In the fuel cell system of the above aspect, the fuel cell system further includes an acceleration identifying unit that identifies an acceleration of the fuel cell along a direction from a position closer to the outlet of the discharge manifold to a position farther from the outlet. The unit may specify that the operating environment of the fuel cell is the multi-water operating environment when the acceleration is equal to or greater than a predetermined magnitude. According to the fuel cell system of this aspect, since the acceleration of the fuel cell along the direction from the position closer to the position farther away from the outlet of the discharge manifold is a predetermined magnitude or more, the portion farther from the outlet of the discharge manifold Even in an operating environment in which water tends to accumulate, it is possible to suppress the accumulation of water in the discharge manifold.
(5) In the fuel cell system of the above aspect, a reaction gas supply channel for supplying the reaction gas to the fuel cell; and supply amount related information related to the supply amount of the reaction gas in the reaction gas supply channel A supply amount related information acquisition unit that acquires the supply amount, wherein the operation specifying unit is configured such that the supply amount of the reaction gas specified based on the supply amount related information is a maximum of an outputable current value range of the fuel cell. When the amount corresponding to the value is reduced, the operation status of the fuel cell may be specified as the multi-water operation status. According to the fuel cell system of this aspect, since the flow rate of the reaction gas is reduced from the amount corresponding to the maximum value of the fuel cell output possible current value range, the water in each single cell is lifted into the discharge manifold and discharged. Even in an operation situation in which a large amount of water exists in the manifold, it is possible to suppress water from being accumulated in the discharge manifold.
(6) In the fuel cell system according to the above aspect, the operation specifying unit may specify that the operation state of the fuel cell is the multi-water operation state when the discharge blow is completed. According to the fuel cell system of this aspect, since the discharge blow is completed, even in an operation situation where water in each single cell is lifted into the discharge manifold and there is a large amount of water in the discharge manifold, It is possible to prevent water from collecting in the discharge manifold.
(7) In the fuel cell system according to the above aspect, a period during which the flow rate of the reaction gas supplied to the fuel cell is larger than that during normal operation of the fuel cell and less than when the exhaust blow is performed is the exhaust gas. It may be longer than the blow execution period. According to this form of the fuel cell system, it is possible to more reliably achieve both suppression of water accumulation in the discharge manifold and suppression of excessive drying in the fuel cell.
(8) In the fuel cell system according to the above aspect, when the operation state of the fuel cell is specified as the multi-water operation state, the gas supply amount control unit determines that the operation environment of the fuel cell is the multiple operation environment. Compared to the case where the water operation environment is specified, the flow rate of the reaction gas supplied to the fuel cell is longer than that during normal operation and less than that during execution of the exhaust blow in a longer period. Also good. In a multi-water operation situation, it is generally more likely that a large amount of water is present in the discharge manifold than in a multi-water operation environment. However, according to the fuel cell system of the above embodiment, in the multi-water operation environment, the flow rate of the reaction gas is controlled to be larger than that in the normal operation for a longer period of time, so that it is possible to suppress water from being accumulated in the discharge manifold.
(9) In the fuel cell system of the above aspect, the reaction gas may be an oxidant gas. According to this form of the fuel cell system, water is generated by the electrochemical reaction, so that it is possible to prevent water from being accumulated in the discharge manifold on the cathode side where water easily accumulates in the discharge manifold.

The

A2. Operation control processing:
FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing the procedure of the operation control process in the first embodiment. In the
The posture related information acquisition unit 613 specifies the posture (inclination angle θ) of the
In step S110 described above, when it is specified that the inclination angle θ is larger than the threshold angle, that is, the operation environment of the
As described above, the air flow rate supplied to the
In the above-described step S110, when the inclination angle θ is not larger than the threshold angle, that is, when it is specified that the operating environment of the
The
According to the
Further, since the flow rate of air supplied to the

B. Second embodiment:
FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of the fuel cell system according to the second embodiment. The

FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing the procedure of the operation control process in the second embodiment. This is different from the operation control process of the first embodiment shown in FIG. Since other procedures are the same as the operation control process in the first embodiment, the same procedures are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted.
The
On the other hand, when it is determined in step S110a that the stacking direction acceleration is not greater than the threshold acceleration (step S110a: NO), the

The operation control process in the second embodiment includes a point that step S105b is executed instead of step S105, a step that executes step S110b instead of step S110, a point that steps S120 and S125 are omitted, and a step S112. And the point that S114 is added is different from the operation control process of the first embodiment shown in FIG. Since other procedures are the same as the operation control process in the first embodiment, the same procedures are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted.

The
When it is determined that the operating state of the

FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing a procedure of operation control processing in the fourth embodiment. The operation control process in the fourth embodiment includes the point of executing step S105c instead of step S105b, the point of executing step S110c instead of step S110b, and the step of executing step S112a instead of step S112. This is different from the operation control process in the third embodiment. Since other procedures are the same as the operation control process in the third embodiment, the same procedures are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted.
The supply amount related
