Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an ink composition, an ink jet recording method using the ink composition, and a colored body colored with the ink composition.
A recording method using an ink jet printer (ink jet recording method) is one of typical methods among various color recording methods. In this method, ink droplets are generated and recorded on various recording materials (paper, film, fabric, etc.) for recording. Due to advances in ink jet technology, ink jet recording methods have come to be used in the field of high-definition printing that has been realized by silver salt photography and offset printing. Furthermore, in recent years, the demand for industrial applications has increased, and this application requires performance for high-speed printing.
Examples of the recording material used in the ink jet recording method include ink jet exclusive paper having an ink receiving layer and ink jet glossy paper. However, there is a case where a recording material such as general-purpose plain paper having a low ink absorption capability is used. Such a non-absorptive recording material does not have an ink receiving layer, and therefore, it takes a long time to dry the ink.
For example, in the case of high-speed automatic double-sided printing, in which the paper on which the front surface is printed is reversed immediately in the inkjet recording apparatus, and the high-speed automatic double-sided printing causes problems such as contamination of the reversing rollers by undried ink. was there.
Further, a non-hardly absorbable recording material may cause a phenomenon called “mottling” particularly when an aqueous pigment ink is used.
The mottling phenomenon is, for example, when an image with a large amount of ink such as a solid image is recorded, and the amount of ink adhering exceeds the ink absorption capacity of the recording material, so that it is not uniformly absorbed by the recording material. This is a phenomenon in which unabsorbed ink droplets are unevenly distributed and fixed on a recording material to cause irregular image unevenness.
For this reason, there is an urgent need for inks that can dry quickly and obtain high image quality even with non-hardly absorbable recording materials.
Two types of colorants used in ink-jet inks are generally water-soluble colorants (for example, water-soluble dyes) and colorants that are substantially insoluble in water (for example, pigments and disperse dyes). Known to.
Among these, it is known that the ink containing the pigment is in a state where the colorant does not dissolve and is dispersed in the ink. Furthermore, it has been proposed to add various additives in order to impart printability to non-hardly absorbable recording materials. However, the storage stability of ink often deteriorates due to additives, and there is a demand for improvement thereof.
For this reason, as an ink containing a colorant that is substantially insoluble in water, there has been a strong demand for an ink with improved storage stability, particularly with a very low change in viscosity.

Examples of the paint include various clays such as talc, pyrophyllite, and kaolin; those obtained by mixing titanium oxide, magnesium carbonate, calcium carbonate, and the like with starch and / or polyvinyl alcohol.
The paint can be applied to the paper using a coater in the paper manufacturing process, for example. There are two types of coater: an in-line method in which paper making and coating are performed in one step by being directly connected to a paper machine, and an off-line method in which the paper making is performed separately.
The finely coated paper means a paper having a coating amount of 12 g / m 2 or less.
Art paper means paper obtained by applying a coating of about 40 g / m 2 to high-quality paper that is 100% chemical pulp.
Coated paper and matte paper mean paper coated with about 20 to 40 g / m 2 of paint.
