Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a gas barrier laminate film and a method for producing the same.
Packaging materials (exterior materials) used for industry, daily life materials (food, medicines, etc.) are required to have a function to prevent the quality of the contents from deteriorating. In particular, in order to store foods and medicines for a long period of time, a gas barrier property (oxygen barrier property) that blocks entry of oxygen from the outside air that promotes spoilage and deterioration is required.
Conventionally, acrylic acid polymers, polyvinyl alcohol, and the like have been widely used to impart gas barrier properties. Films using these materials are excellent in oxygen barrier properties under dry conditions.
However, since the acrylic acid polymer and polyvinyl alcohol are hydrophilic, the film is notably impaired in oxygen barrier properties under high humidity conditions and easily dissolves in water.
Therefore, the following gas barrier films (1) to (4) have been proposed.
(1) A gas barrier film having a gas barrier layer formed from a polycarboxylic acid and a polyamine and / or polyol, and having a polycarboxylic acid crosslinking degree of 40% or more (Patent Document 1).
(2) A gas barrier film obtained by mixing polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of 99% or more and a vinyl polymer containing maleic acid units of 10 mol% or more in a specific mass ratio and reacting them by heat treatment (patent Reference 2).
(3) A gas barrier film obtained by mixing polyvinyl alcohol and an alkyl vinyl ether-maleic acid copolymer at a specific mass ratio and reacting them by heat treatment (Patent Document 3).
(4) A gas barrier film obtained by mixing polyvinyl alcohol and an acrylic acid-maleic anhydride copolymer at a specific mass ratio and reacting them by heat treatment (Patent Document 4).
In these gas barrier films, a hydroxyl group such as polyvinyl alcohol reacts with a carboxy group such as polycarboxylic acid, and the polycarboxylic acid or the like is a crosslinked product. Thereby, water resistance etc. improve and the fall of the gas barrier property by moisture absorption is suppressed.
However, the oxygen barrier properties of the gas barrier films (1) to (4) are not sufficient. Furthermore, the gas barrier films (1) to (4) have a problem that it takes time to react each component in the production process and the productivity is low.

(Gas barrier layer)
The
The cross-linked product is formed by the reaction of the following acrylic acid polymer (A) and sugar alcohol (B).
[Acrylic acid polymer (A)]
The acrylic acid polymer (A) is the following (A1) or (A2).
(A1): Poly (meth) acrylic acid.

“Poly (meth) acrylic acid” in (A1) means polyacrylic acid, polymethacrylic acid, or a copolymer of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid.
As (A1), from the viewpoint of water resistance of the gas barrier laminate film, those having a polymerization degree of 20 to 20,000 are preferable, and those having a polymerization degree of 50 to 10,000 are more preferable.
When the degree of polymerization of (A1) is less than 20, not only the gas barrier laminate film cannot be provided with sufficient water resistance, but also gas barrier properties and transparency may be deteriorated by moisture, or whitening may occur. . When the degree of polymerization of (A1) exceeds 20,000, the viscosity becomes high during coating of the coating liquid for forming the
The poly (meth) acrylic acid (poly (meth) acrylic acid before being neutralized with zinc) in (A2) is the same as (A1), and the preferred degree of polymerization is also the same.
The degree of zinc neutralization (the ratio of carboxy groups neutralized with zinc among the carboxy groups of poly (meth) acrylic acid) of (A2) is more than 0 mol% and 25 mol% or less, and 5 mol% or more and 25 mol% % Or less is preferable, and 10 mol% or more and 25 mol% or less is more preferable. The higher the degree of zinc neutralization within the above range, the better the water resistance of the

Examples thereof include carbonates or organic acid salts of complexes or secondary to quaternary amine complexes. Among these zinc compounds, zinc oxide and zinc acetate are more preferable, and zinc oxide is particularly preferable from the viewpoint of industrial productivity.
[Sugar alcohols (B)]
The sugar alcohol (B) is a sugar alcohol having 0 to 3 glycosidic bonds in the structure.
“Sugar alcohol” is a polyhydric alcohol produced by reducing a carbonyl group of a sugar molecule.
Since the number of glycosidic bonds is 3 or less, the reactivity with the acrylic acid polymer (A) is higher than in the case where the number of glycosidic bonds is 4 or more, and the degree of esterification ( A crosslinked product having a high degree of crosslinking) is easily obtained, and the formed

The (B1), compounds represented by the general formula C n H 2n + 2 O n ( "C n H n + 2 (OH ) n 'also is described.) And the like. Among them, those whose carbon number (n) is 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are referred to as tritol, tetritol, pentitol, hexitol, heptitol, octitol, nonitol and decitol, respectively. . (B1) has many stereoisomers depending on the number of asymmetric carbon atoms. Specific examples of (B1) include sorbitol, mannitol, dulcitol, xylitol, erythritol, glycerin and the like.
Examples of (B2) include maltitol, maltotriitol, oligosaccharide alcohol and the like.
Sugar alcohol (B) is used 1 type or in combination of 2 or more types as needed.
In the acrylic acid polymer (A) and sugar alcohols (B), the mass ratio (A / B) of the acrylic acid polymer (A) and sugar alcohols (B) is 95/5 to 50/50. Used as follows. A / B is preferably 95/5 to 60/40, and more preferably 95/5 to 70/30. If A / B is within the above range, the amount of the carboxy group of the acrylic polymer (A) and the hydroxyl group of the sugar alcohol (B) that contributes to the esterification reaction is sufficient, ) The cross-linking degree of the cross-linked product of acrylic acid is sufficiently high.
[Step (α1)]
The coating (coating) method of the coating liquid for forming the gas barrier layer is not particularly limited. For example, a casting method, a dipping method, a roll coating method, a gravure coating method, a screen printing method, a reverse coating method, a spray coating method, Kit coating method, die coating method, metering bar coating method, chamber doctor combined coating method, curtain coating method and the like can be mentioned.
If necessary, drying may be performed after application of the coating liquid and before heat treatment. Drying is performed continuously from application of the coating liquid.
The drying method is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include a hot air drying method, a hot roll contact method, an infrared heating method, and a microwave heating method. These methods may be performed alone or in combination.
The drying temperature is not particularly limited. For example, when the above-described water or a mixed solvent of water and an organic solvent is used as the solvent, 50 ° C. to 160 ° C. is usually preferable.
The drying pressure is usually preferably normal pressure or reduced pressure, and preferably normal pressure from the viewpoint of facility simplicity.
When two or more gas barrier layers are laminated (for example, when gas barrier layers are laminated on both surfaces of a film substrate), coating and drying of the coating liquid for forming each gas barrier layer are performed continuously. Alternatively, it may be performed discontinuously through a winding process and a curing process.
The heat treatment temperature after coating the coating liquid is 200 ° C. (473 K) or more and 250 ° C. (523 K) or less, preferably 200 ° C. (473 K) or more and 230 ° C. (503 K) or less, and 200 ° C. (473 K) or more and 210 ° C. (483K) or less is more preferable.
If the heat treatment temperature is equal to or higher than the lower limit of the above range, the acrylic polymer (A) and the sugar alcohol (B) sufficiently react with each other in a heat treatment time of 300 seconds or less to achieve a high oxygen barrier property. The productivity of the gas
The higher the heat treatment temperature, the higher the oxygen barrier property can be obtained in a short heat treatment time. However, when the heat treatment temperature is too high, there is a risk of discoloration or decomposition. If the heat treatment temperature is not more than the upper limit of the above range, discoloration and decomposition are unlikely to occur.
The heat treatment time is 300 seconds or less, preferably 1 second to 300 seconds, and more preferably 5 seconds to 300 seconds.
If the heat treatment time is 300 seconds or less, the productivity of the gas
If heat processing time is more than the lower limit of the said range, reaction with acrylic acid type polymer (A) and sugar alcohols (B) will fully advance, and more excellent oxygen barrier property will be obtained.
(Function and effect)
In the gas barrier laminated
The reason for having an excellent oxygen barrier property even under high humidity conditions is considered to be that the degree of cross-linking of the cross-linked product formed by the reaction between the acrylic acid polymer (A) and a specific amount of sugar alcohols (B) is high. Get it.
In addition, sugar alcohols (B) having 3 or less glycosidic bonds are highly reactive with acrylic acid polymer (A), and progress of esterification by heat treatment is fast. Therefore, in the production of the gas

The inorganic vapor-deposited
As the inorganic material constituting the inorganic
Examples of the inorganic material include aluminum, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, silicon oxide, and tin oxide. An inorganic material is used combining 1 type (s) or 2 or more types as needed.
The inorganic material is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of aluminum, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide and silicon oxide from the viewpoint of high gas barrier properties.
Aluminum oxide preferably has an abundance ratio of aluminum (Al) and oxygen (O) in a molar ratio of Al: O = 1: 1.5 to 1: 2.0. For example, an aluminum oxide vapor deposition layer is formed by reactive vapor deposition, reactive sputtering, reactive ion plating, etc. in which a thin film is formed in the presence of a mixed gas of oxygen, carbon dioxide gas, and inert gas, using aluminum as a vapor deposition material. Can be formed. At this time, if aluminum is reacted with oxygen, it is stoichiometrically Al 2 O 3 , so the abundance ratio of aluminum (Al) and oxygen (O) is a molar ratio, and Al: O = 1: Should be 1.5. However, depending on the vapor deposition method, some may exist as aluminum or aluminum peroxide, and the presence of elements in the aluminum oxide vapor deposition layer using an X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) or the like. When the ratio is measured, it is generally found that the abundance ratio of aluminum (Al) to oxygen (O) is a molar ratio, and it cannot be said that Al: O = 1: 1.5. In general, when the abundance ratio of aluminum (Al) and oxygen (O) is a molar ratio and the amount of oxygen is less than Al: O = 1: 1.5 and the amount of aluminum is large, the aluminum oxide vapor deposition layer becomes dense. Although good gas barrier properties can be obtained, the aluminum oxide vapor-deposited layer tends to be colored black and the light transmission amount tends to be low. On the other hand, when the abundance ratio of aluminum (Al) and oxygen (O) is a molar ratio and the amount of oxygen is larger than Al: O = 1: 1.5 and the amount of aluminum is small, the aluminum oxide vapor deposition layer becomes sparse. Although the gas barrier property is poor, the light transmission amount is high and transparent.
Silicon oxide is suitably used particularly when the inorganic vapor-deposited

And 15% by mass of sodium hypophosphite was added to the total solid content. A coating solution (1) was prepared by setting the solid content concentration of the aqueous solution thus obtained to 5% by mass.
The “total solid content” here is the total of the acrylic acid polymer (A) and the sugar alcohols (B), and the same applies to the following.
