Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a side sill structure extending rearward of a vehicle from below a front pillar of the vehicle.
サイドシル構造は、車両の骨格部材の役割をする構造物でもあり、車両のNVH性能(Noise(騒音)、Vibration(振動)、Harshness(走行時の振動や音))や衝突性能に影響を与えている。 A side sill structure is provided in a portion serving as a sill below the side door of the vehicle so as to extend in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The side sill structure is also a structure that acts as a skeleton member of the vehicle, and affects the vehicle's NVH performance (Noise, Vibration, Harshness (vibration and sound during running)) and collision performance. Yes. The main part of the side sill structure has a structure in which a side sill inner on the vehicle interior and a side sill outer on the vehicle exterior are joined to form a closed cross section.
The side sill structure is improved every day for the purpose of improving the NVH performance and collision performance of the vehicle. In improving NVH performance and collision performance, the side sill structure is desired to have a configuration capable of suppressing cross-sectional deformation with respect to an input load. For example, when the vehicle is running, a load is easily applied to the side sill structure from the base of the front pillar holding the front door. For example, even when a collision or the like occurs in the vehicle from the front, an impact load is applied to the side sill structure from the front of the vehicle by deforming the front tire or the wheel house to the rear of the vehicle.
For example, in the side body structure of a vehicle described in Patent Document 1, a gusset member is added to the inside of the side sill below the front pillar, and the cross-sectional deformation of the side sill is suppressed by the gusset member. In Patent Document 1, a front pillar rain is provided inside the front pillar or various reinforcing members are provided to increase the rigidity of the vehicle body and suppress deformation thereof.
At present, there is a demand for the side sill structure to reduce the weight while suppressing the increase in the number of parts and the increase in the plate thickness as much as possible while improving the rigidity. If the method of improving the rigidity by adding a large number of gusset members and the like of Patent Document 1 in terms of achieving both rigidity improvement and weight reduction, it may lead to an increase in the weight of the vehicle body and the manufacturing cost if performed easily.
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object thereof is to provide a side sill structure capable of improving NVH performance and collision performance while suppressing an increase in the number of parts and an increase in plate thickness.
In order to solve the above-described problems, a typical structure of the side sill structure according to the present invention is a side sill structure extending from the lower side of the front pillar of the vehicle to the rear of the vehicle. A side sill inner that does not have a front end surface and a first opening is formed and a side sill inner that is joined to the outside of the vehicle and forms a closed section between the side sill inner and does not have a front end surface on the front side of the vehicle A side sill outer in which a second opening is formed; an extension member having a first vertical wall that closes the first opening of the side sill inner; and a second vertical wall that closes the second opening of the side sill outer. And a cover member connected to the extension member from the outside of the vehicle.
Said side sill inner and side sill outer do not have the front end surface of the vehicle front side. For example, when these side sill inners are press-molded in the vehicle width direction, if a front end surface exists, the front end part of the side sill inners has a total of four surfaces including a side surface, an upper surface, a lower surface, and a front end surface. It must be molded as a part. In such a multi-faceted region, the shape that can be molded is likely to be limited due to the pressing direction. Thus, in the above configuration, the front end surfaces of the side sill inner and the side sill outer are not provided, and the roles of these front end surfaces are supplemented by the extension member and the cover member which are separate members. With this configuration, the moldability of the side sill inner and the side sill outer is improved, and for example, it is possible to easily change the shape specifications, such as changing the thickness in the vehicle width direction, that is, the closed cross section in the vehicle width direction. Yes. As a result, for example, the closed cross section can be enlarged according to the purpose, so that the rigidity can be increased without depending on the increase in the plate thickness. Moreover, in the said structure, since the front end surface is not provided in a side sill inner and a side sill outer, the increase in a weight can be suppressed compared with the case where only a reinforcement member is added. By these, if it is the said side sill structure, NVH performance and a collision performance can be improved, suppressing the increase in a number of parts and the increase in plate | board thickness.
The first vertical wall portion and the second vertical wall portion may be provided so as to face the front of the vehicle. The first vertical wall portion and the second vertical wall portion serve as front end surfaces of the side sill inner and the side sill outer, and are portions that are subject to a load from the front of the vehicle. The first vertical wall surface and the second vertical wall surface are spread toward the front of the vehicle, so that the load from the front of the vehicle is efficiently received and transmitted to the rear of the vehicle, and the load is absorbed using the entire vehicle body. Is possible.
The extension member further includes a first connection portion that is bent backward from the first vertical wall portion and connected to the side sill inner, and the cover member is further bent rearward from the second vertical wall portion. It has the 2nd connection part connected to a side sill outer, and the 1st connection part may extend to the vehicles back rather than the 2nd connection part.
The extension member has a connection strength higher than that of the cover member because the first connection portion extends rearward of the second connection portion of the cover member and is connected to the side sill inner. Since the side sill inner is assembled along the floor panel, the extension member joined to the side sill inner is also disposed at a position adjacent to the floor panel. With this configuration, a load applied from the front of the vehicle during traveling or the like can be transmitted to the floor panel via the extension member having high connection strength and absorbed.
The side sill structure may further include a dash panel having a wheel house portion that surrounds the front tire of the vehicle, separating the engine room and the vehicle compartment of the vehicle, and the extension member may be connected to the wheel house portion. With this configuration, the rigidity of the extension member is further increased, and the load applied to the extension member can be more suitably absorbed.
The side sill structure may further include a first front end flange that extends downward from the upper edge of the first opening of the side sill inner and is joined to the first vertical wall of the extension member. With this configuration, the extension member can be suitably joined to the side sill inner.
The first front end flange is provided at the rear of the vehicle at the center of the front tire of the vehicle, and the side sill structure is further a part of the front pillar, and overlaps the first front end flange from the front of the vehicle. May be provided. At the location of the first front end flange, the front pillar member, the first front end flange of the side sill inner, and the extension member overlap in order from the front of the vehicle. The location where these three members overlap has high rigidity, and this location is located at the rear of the vehicle at the center of the front tire, so that the load that can be applied to the front tire during traveling or the like can be suitably absorbed. Can do.
The side sill structure may further include a second front end flange that extends downward from the upper edge of the second opening of the side sill outer and is joined to the second vertical wall portion of the cover member. With this configuration, the cover member can be suitably joined to the side sill outer.
The second front end flange may be provided at the rear of the vehicle at the center of the front tire of the vehicle, and the side sill structure may further include a dash side member that overlaps the second front end flange from the front of the vehicle. At the location of the second front end flange, the dash side member, the second front end flange of the side sill outer, and the cover member overlap in order from the front of the vehicle. The location where these three members overlap has high rigidity, and this location is located at the rear of the vehicle at the center of the front tire, so that the load that can be applied to the front tire during traveling or the like can be suitably absorbed. Can do.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, it becomes possible to provide the side sill structure which can improve NVH performance and collision performance, suppressing the increase in a number of parts and board thickness.

As described above, in this embodiment, the side sill inner 122 and the side sill outer 124 do not have a front end surface on the vehicle front side. For example, when the side sill inner 122 and the side sill outer 124 are press-molded in the vehicle width direction, if the front end surface exists, the front end portions of the side sill inner 122 and the side sill outer 124 are the side surface, the upper surface, the lower surface, and the front end surface. It must be molded as a multi-faceted part with a total of four sides. In such a multi-faceted region, the shape that can be molded is likely to be limited due to the pressing direction. Therefore, in the above configuration, the front sill inner 122 and the side sill outer 124 are not provided with respective front end surfaces, and the roles of these front end surfaces are supplemented by the

FIG. 8B is a DD cross-sectional view of FIG. In the present embodiment, an increase in weight can be suppressed as compared with the case where only the reinforcing member is added because the front end surfaces are not provided in the side sill inner 122 and the side sill outer 124. By these, if it is the said
Here, the
FIG. 9 shows a member in which another member is assembled to the
In the present embodiment, the
