Abstract
Description
本発明は、還元剤として炭化水素を用いた場合はもとより、炭化水素以外の還元剤を用いた場合であっても、還元剤のすり抜けが生じることなく、排気ガス中に含まれるNOxを良好に浄化することができ、或いは排気処理装置の温度を良好に上昇させることのできる内燃機関の制御装置および制御方法を提供することにある。
図1を参照すると、1は機関本体、2は各気筒の燃焼室、3は各燃焼室2内に夫々燃料を噴射するための電子制御式燃料噴射弁、4は吸気マニホルド、5は排気マニホルドを夫々示す。吸気マニホルド4は吸気ダクト6を介して排気ターボチャージャ7のコンプレッサ7aの出口に連結され、コンプレッサ7aの入口は吸入空気量検出器8を介してエアクリーナ9に連結される。吸気ダクト6内にはアクチュエータにより駆動されるスロットル弁10が配置され、吸気ダクト6周りには吸気ダクト6内を流れる吸入空気を冷却するための冷却装置11が配置される。図1に示される実施例では機関冷却水が冷却装置11内に導かれ、機関冷却水によって吸入空気が冷却される。

Claims (6)
- 排気ガス中に含まれるNOxを浄化するため或いは排気処理装置の温度を上昇させるために、還元剤供給弁から機関排気通路内に還元剤を予め定められた範囲内の周期でもって間欠的に噴射するようにした内燃機関の制御装置において、予め定められた一定の演算周期でもって、演算時における機関の運転状態に応じた還元剤の適切な噴射インターバルを演算しかつ演算された噴射インターバルを新たな噴射インターバルとして更新する演算部と、前回の噴射が行われたときからの経過時間が、該前回の噴射が行われた後に該演算部により更新された最新の噴射インターバル以上になったときに還元剤供給弁からの還元剤の次の噴射を実行させる噴射実行部を具備した内燃機関の制御装置。
- 該予め定められた一定の演算周期が、還元剤供給弁からの還元剤の上記噴射周期の範囲よりも短い請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 該予め定められた一定の演算周期でもって還元剤の噴射密度と一回当りの噴射量とが算出され、上記適切な噴射インターバルは該一回当りの噴射量を該噴射密度で除算することにより求められる請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 排気ガス中に含まれるNOxを浄化するため或いは排気処理装置の温度を上昇させるために、還元剤供給弁から機関排気通路内に還元剤を予め定められた範囲内の周期でもって間欠的に噴射するようにした内燃機関の制御方法において、
予め定められた一定の演算周期でもって、演算時における機関の運転状態に応じた還元剤の適切な噴射インターバルを演算しかつ演算された噴射インターバルを新たな噴射インターバルとして更新し、
前回の噴射が行われたときからの経過時間が、前回の噴射が行われた後に該演算部により更新された最新の噴射インターバル以上になったときに還元剤供給弁からの還元剤の次の噴射を実行させる内燃機関の制御方法。 - 該予め定められた一定の演算周期が、還元剤供給弁からの還元剤の上記噴射周期の範囲よりも短い請求項4に記載の内燃機関の制御方法。
- 該予め定められた一定の演算周期でもって還元剤の噴射密度と一回当りの噴射量とが算出され、上記適切な噴射インターバルは該一回当りの噴射量を該噴射密度で除算することにより求められる請求項4に記載の内燃機関の制御方法。
