A water source pipe (inlet) 121 and a purified water pipe (outlet) 122 connect to the housing assembly 120 to accept water that needs to be purified and to distribute the purified water. The specific contents are as follows.
FIG. 3 is an exploded view illustrating a lid assembly 110 according to an embodiment of the present invention. Although the lid assembly 110 is described herein with reference to the water filtration system 100, as Applicant, the lid assembly 110 is not only applied to the water filtration system 100, but also for other purposes and applications. Is also possible. The lid assembly 110 includes a rotary lid lever 150, an upper housing 170, a compression cap 180, a leaf spring 190, a gasket 200, and a pressure cap 210. The rotary lid lever 150 is attached to the upper housing 170 via a barrel nut 151. As described in detail below, the function of the rotary lid lever 150 is to remove the pressure cap 210 from the pressure vessel 135 to maintain / release the pressure in the pressure vessel 135. The pressure cap 210 is attached to the lower side of the compression cap 180. In one embodiment, four press-fit expansion nuts 181 are used to attach pressure cap 210 to compression cap 180 and compression cap 180 to upper housing 170. The leaf spring 190 is fixed to the pressure cap 210 via a pair of overhangs 211, and the leaf spring 190 is connected to the barrel nut 151 by a bolt 152, which is connected to the central opening 191 of the leaf spring 190 and the washer 153. And through the central opening of the compression cap 180 and into the barrel nut 151. As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, when the rotary lid 150 lever is rotated upward, the leaf spring 190 applies pressure to the pressure cap 210 and the gasket 200, and thereby lifts and disengages from the pressure vessel 135. . When the rotary lid 150 lever is rotated downward, the leaf spring 190 applies pressure to the pressure cap 210 and the gasket 200, thereby lowering it closer to the pressure vessel 135.
4A and 4B are bottom views showing a state when the lid assembly 110 is closed and opened, respectively. When the lid assembly 110 is closed, the rotary lid lever 150 is fitted into the cavity 171 of the upper housing 170 downward. When the position of the rotary lid lever 150 is lowered, the outer wall 212 of the pressure cap 210 and the gasket 200 are inserted into the pressure vessel 135, and the gasket 200 circumscribes the upper inner surface of the pressure vessel 135, and thereby the pressure vessel 135. Keep sealed and vacuum. When the pressure cap 210 applies pressure to the gasket 200 and attaches it to the upper inner surface of the pressure vessel 135, the pressure cap 210 enters a sealed and vacuum state. The pressure of the water in the pressure vessel 135 generates an upward pressure on the cap 210, which helps to create a seal and create a vacuum. This upward pressure raises the pressure cap 210 and forces it to the gasket 200, thereby further sticking the gasket 200 and the upper inner surface of the pressure vessel 135. Thus, contrary to most systems, the greater the pressure in the pressure vessel 135, the greater the sealing strength. When the rotary lid lever 150 is in the open position, the pressure cap 210 is lowered and the pressure applied to the gasket 200 and the upper inner surface of the pressure vessel 135 is also reduced, thereby releasing the pressure vessel 135 from sealing and vacuum. When the rotary lid lever 150 is in a relatively high position, the sealing performance is broken. At this time, if necessary, the lid assembly 110 is removed through connection with the ring enclosure 130 or the housing 120. FIG. 4C is a top view showing the water filtration system 100 after the lid assembly 110 has been removed. The water filter cartridge 300 can be displayed in the pressure vessel 135.
FIG. 5 is an exploded view showing the housing assembly 120. The housing assembly 120 includes a housing 128, a water source pipe (inlet) 121, a purified water pipe (outlet) 122, a front panel 124, a badge 125, and the like. , An inlet water pipe joint 126, an outlet water pipe joint 127 and a rotary rear lever 160 are included. The rotary rear lever 160 and the housing 128 are connected via a pair of pins 161. When opened, the rotary lid lever 150 can be seen through the rotary rear lever 160. As shown in FIG. 1C, when closed, the upper portion 164 of the rotary rear lever 160 supports one end of the rotary lid lever 150, thereby releasing the rotary lid lever 150 and removing the lid assembly 110. Avoid being done. Accordingly, as shown in FIGS. 10A-10E, the decomposition process of the water filtration system 100 includes the following procedure. (I) Remove the rotary rear lever 160 (expose the battery compartment 165). (Ii) Remove the rotary lid lever 150. (Iii) Rotate and open the lid assembly 110 in the counterclockwise direction to release the lid assembly teeth 111 (FIGS. 4A, 4B and 7C) from the ring enclosure teeth 131 (FIGS. 10B and 10E). And (iv) removing the lid assembly 110 and removing the water filter cartridge 300. More specifically, the lid assembly tooth 111 is on the inner surface of the compression cap 180. The rotary rear lever 160 hides a battery compartment 165 that houses various batteries for powering various functions of the water filtration system 100. The rotary rear lever 160 is fixed via a latch 162 located on the inner surface of the rotary rear lever 160 and a mount 163 located in the ring enclosure 130, that is, located in the interface tower 115.
The lid assembly teeth 111 and ring enclosure teeth 131 provide a secure connection and can be opened and closed if the user moves the lid assembly 110 lightly. For example, depending on the distance between the lid assembly teeth 111 and the ring enclosure teeth 131, the user can fully open or close the lid assembly by opening the lid assembly below 30 degrees. This is much more efficient than thread placement that requires full opening (eg, 360 degrees or more).

FIG. 12 is a flowchart 500 detailing the authentication process associated with the water filter cartridge 410. At 505, the identification associated with the water filter cartridge is read and is particularly relevant to the water filtration system. In one embodiment, the RFID tag 405 and reader 415 in the water filtration system associate the identification of the water filter cartridge with a particular water filtration system. Authentication of the water filter cartridge requires that the RFID tag 405 format be the same as the local record, at which point the water filter cartridge 410 is considered authenticated. At 510, water filter cartridge identification and specific water filtration system related information is stored locally. Alternatively, such information can be stored in a central location or a remote location as needed. At 515, the water filtration system data is transmitted to a central location. These data written to the water filtration system are continuously transmitted to the central location. Individual water filtration systems can be polled by a central location as well. At 520, it is determined whether a water filter is spent. If it is determined that the water filter has been spent, at 525 the user is notified via an alarm, shutdown, indicator light on, email, text or other communication method. At 530, when the used water filter cartridge is removed and a new water filter cartridge is placed in the water filtration system, the water filtration system checks the identity of the newly replaced water filter cartridge. At 535, the water filtration system authenticates for the newly replaced water filter cartridge. It is necessary to certify that the identification type of the new water filter is correct and that it does not match the identification of the water filter cartridge spent in a particular water filtration system previously determined locally or centrally Become. Thus, in one embodiment, old water filter cartridges and other brand water filter cartridges are not certified. At 540, the identification of the new water filter cartridge is associated with a particular water filtration system. At 545, the identification of the new water filter cartridge and information related to the particular water filtration system is sent to a central location as needed and stored accordingly.
