In endoscopes in the medical field, various techniques have been proposed for reducing the diameter of an insertion portion that is inserted into a body cavity of a subject in order to reduce the burden on the subject. As an example of such a technique, a scanning endoscope that does not include a solid-state imaging device in a portion corresponding to the above-described insertion portion, and an optical scanning observation configured to include the scanning endoscope Systems etc. are known.
Specifically, the above-described optical scanning observation system has, for example, a predetermined scanning path by swinging the tip of an illumination fiber that is an optical fiber that guides illumination light emitted from a light source. The object is scanned along the line, the return light from the object is received by a light receiving fiber that is an optical fiber disposed around the illumination fiber, and the object's light is received based on the return light received by the light receiving fiber. It is configured to generate an image. For example, a scanning endoscope system disclosed in
Specifically, in
However, according to the configuration disclosed in
As a result, according to the configuration disclosed in

1 to 8 relate to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a configuration of a main part of an optical scanning observation system according to an embodiment.
For example, as shown in FIG. 1, the optical

The
The
The
Between the

As shown in FIG. 2, the

The
The
The optical fiber bundle 7 is configured by bundling a plurality of optical fibers, for example. The incident end of the optical fiber bundle 7 is disposed at the distal end of the
The
The image generation unit 9 includes, for example, an image processing circuit. Further, the image generation unit 9 is a digital output from the
The display device 10 is configured by, for example, a liquid crystal display. The display device 10 is configured to display an image output from the image generation unit 9.
The
For example, the
Specifically, for example, when the information indicating the signal waveform of FIG. 3 is stored in the
Then, by performing the control and operation as described above, the emission end of the
Specifically, at time T1, illumination light is irradiated to a position corresponding to the center point A of the irradiation position of the illumination light on the surface of the subject. Thereafter, as the voltage values (amplitude values) of the first and second drive signals increase from time T1 to time T2, the irradiation position of the illumination light on the surface of the subject moves outward from the center point A as the starting point. 1 is displaced along the spiral scanning path, and when the time T2 is reached, the illumination light is irradiated to the outermost point B of the illumination light irradiation position on the surface of the subject. Then, as the voltage values (amplitude values) of the first and second drive signals decrease from time T2 to time T3, the illumination light irradiation position on the surface of the subject moves inward starting from the outermost point B. When it is displaced along the second spiral scanning path and further reaches time T3, illumination light is irradiated to the center point A on the surface of the subject.
Based on the information read from the
Specifically, for example, when the information indicating the signal waveform of FIG. 3 is stored in the
Based on the information read from the
The light irradiation coordinate
In this embodiment, for example, it is assumed that the coordinate position corresponding to a predetermined position on the light receiving surface of the light irradiation coordinate
Therefore, the
Next, processing of the optical
The
In the following, for the sake of simplicity, before the processing of FIG. 6 is performed, the light irradiation coordinate
The
Specifically, for example, when the preset frame rate FR is 20 fps, the
Based on the preset frame rate FR, for example, the
For example, the
Cb<Cs …(1)
Cb+Cs=Ci …(2)
Cb <Cs (1)
Cb + Cs = Ci (2)
The
Based on the coordinate information output from the light irradiation coordinate
Specifically, in step S5 of FIG. 6, the
When the
Specifically, when the
Based on the coordinate information output from the light irradiation coordinate
Specifically, the
When the
Specifically, when the
Then, as a processing result of a series of processes shown in FIG. 6, for example, information indicating a signal waveform as shown in FIG. 7 is stored in the
Here, in the signal waveform of FIG. 7, since the preparation period Pb and the sampling period Ps are in the same phase, no phase change occurs during the transition from the forward scan to the backward scan. In the signal waveform of FIG. 7, for example, a period obtained by removing the preparation period Pb from one frame period Pi can be assigned as it is as the sampling period Ps.
Therefore, for example, based on information read from the

As described above, according to the present embodiment, it is possible to improve the image quality of an image obtained by scanning a subject in a spiral shape as compared with the related art.
According to the present embodiment, in addition to the processes shown in FIG. 6, for example, as shown in step S5A in FIG. 8, the angle of view of the image output from the image generation unit 9 falls within a predetermined range. Further, a process for determining whether or not it is possible may be performed. FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating an example different from FIG. 6, such as processing performed by the optical scanning observation system according to the embodiment.
Specifically, in step S5A in FIG. 8, the
