Description

The present invention relates to a cervical traction device used in traction treatment of the cervical spine and its peripheral portion, and in particular, to provide a cervical traction device that allows a person receiving treatment to perform safe and effective traction treatment during traction. The purpose is to do.

Cervical traction therapy is used as traction therapy for cervical spondylosis, and is widely used in fields such as orthopedics and rehabilitation.
Cervical traction therapy is divided into continuous traction and intermittent traction.
As an example of continuous traction, there is a method in which a patient is rested on a bed, the neck is slightly bent, and the occipital region is pulled at an angle of 45 degrees with a force of about 5 kg. The purpose is to eliminate dynamic factors of the cervical spine and maintain spinal cord rest, thereby improving spinal cord circulation.
As an example of intermittent traction, there is a method in which the patient is placed in a sitting position, the cervical vertebra is slightly bent, and traction is performed for about 10 minutes with a force of about 10 kg. The aim is to improve muscle spasm by improving muscle blood flow and reducing afferent stimulation to anterior horn cells by massage effect by pulling the peri-cervical muscle. Along with the massage effect by this method, the effect on the sympathetic nerve is also expected to increase blood flow on the upper limbs and hands. (Non-Patent Document 1)

When performing cervical traction treatment, the cervical traction device must be mounted on the patient's head, and depending on how the patient's cervical traction device is mounted, traction treatment may not be performed properly.
Thus, various cervical traction orthoses have been created so far.

An example of a conventional cervical traction device is shown in FIG. FIG. 5A is an example of a cervical traction device described in Patent Document 1. FIG.
5A includes a main body 1 including a traction mechanism and a control unit, a traction arm 2 having a wire support unit 3, a wire 5, and a cervical traction device 7, and a patient is seated on a chair 4. This is a device for treating the patient's head by attaching the cervical traction device 7 to the patient's head. The main body 1 includes a traction mechanism unit, a traction force detection unit, a control unit, a display unit, and an operation unit. The motor 5 in the traction mechanism unit and a drum connected to the motor wind the wire 5 and are connected to the wire 5. Cervical traction treatment is performed by pulling the patient's head with the cervical traction device 7.
This is an example of a traction device that is generally used, and is often found in familiar medical institutions such as orthopedics.

In recent years, when using cervical traction devices, some patients complain of pain in the jaw, temporomandibular joint, teeth, etc. It turned out that there was a problem that could not be done.
When investigated, the cause was that the cervical vertebral traction toward the occipital side, which was originally required, was not performed depending on how the cervical traction device was attached, and the traction force concentrated on the jaw.
Therefore, there is a need for a cervical traction device that can appropriately perform cervical traction therapy for such problems.

FIG. 5B is an example of the cervical traction device described in Patent Document 1.
The cervical traction device of FIG. 5B shows a state in which the cervical traction device and a traction connector (hanger) are combined. In this device, in order to protect the patient from the generated impact, a cushioning material or a material that expands and contracts is provided throughout the members constituting the cervical traction device.
However, with this brace, only shock absorbers were provided vaguely to protect the patient from impacts, so the overall impact was only softened, specifically addressing the issues currently required. It did not produce an effect.

FIG. 6 is an example of a cervical traction device described in Patent Document 2.
Although the cervical traction device shown in FIG. 6 has an effect that directly considers the jaw part in question, the cervical traction device does not fit the device correctly because the device is towed by a device that only applies the occipital region to the occipital region. If so, the brace slips off. In addition, because of the structure that does not have a means for holding the head like a conventional brace, it is extremely difficult to match the size of the back of the head of any patient, and various problems may occur. The question remains whether proper cervical traction therapy can be performed.

FIG. 7 is an example of a cervical traction device described in Patent Document 3.
The cervical traction device in FIG. 7 has a structure in which the occipital region is preferentially pulled by the cervical traction device, thereby causing the patient to bend forward and thereby reducing the burden on the jaw.
However, such an appliance is very troublesome to wear since the length of the belt on the chin side must be adjusted for each patient each time. Further, since the fastener is directly used in a portion where a traction force is applied like a traction metal fitting, it is assumed that the appliance is detached during the traction treatment due to the deterioration of the fastener, which is very dangerous.

When using the cervical traction device, some patients complain of pain in the jaw, temporomandibular joint, and teeth. There is no problem, but there is no cervical traction device that can deal with this problem and can perform cervical traction therapy safely and appropriately.
Further, adjusting the size of the brace due to age differences and individual differences is very troublesome, and there is no brace that can handle all sizes in one.

The cervical vertebral traction device of the present invention is a material that is attached to a patient's chin and is stretchable on a part of the chin tool 1 or a hanger 32 applied to the chin tool in the chin tool 1 in which traction force is applied to the patient's chin. The structure is provided and the part provides a limited extension function that extends only to a certain length.
By providing this function, the brace can be adapted to any head shape of the patient, and the jaw extension is pulled after the back of the head is pulled by the effective extension and extension function. Will not be added, and the head will be pulled in a bent state.
Therefore, when using the cervical traction device in cervical traction therapy, the number of patients who have complained of pain in the jaw, temporomandibular joint, teeth, etc. has been reduced so that the patient can be treated with proper traction force. .
In addition, even if there are age differences and individual differences, the appliance can be properly worn without adjustment, and appropriate treatment can be performed.

The structure of the cervical traction device according to claim 1 of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
The cervical spine orthosis according to the present invention is shown in FIG. 1 with a jaw part 1, a jaw cushioning material 2, a back head part 3, a back head part cushioning material 4, a fastener 5, a clasp A 6, a clasp B 7, a hanger 8, and a hanger clasp 9. It consists of.
The chin tool 1 and the occipital tool 3 are separate and independent in this embodiment. However, when handling is troublesome and troublesome, it is possible to provide an integrated brace by providing a member connected to a part thereof.

In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the fasteners A6 and B7 of the appliance are used after being fastened to A, A ', B and B' of the hanger 8, respectively. In this embodiment, the cervical traction device unit is integrated with the hanger 8. And traction treatment can be performed by attaching the hanger retainer 9 to the wire 5 shown in FIG.

The material of the chin part 1 and the back head part 3 is preferably a material that is flexible and easily fits the human head, and examples thereof include vinyl chloride leather, synthetic leather, resin fiber, rubber, and polymer elastomer. . In addition, since the device needs to be shaped to fit any patient's head, a standard model should be determined first, and then a variety of head shapes can be tested for mounting. Even if it is a head shape, it is made a shape that can be adapted approximately. At that time, the point where the orthosis hits strongly and the head pain is likely to occur is grasped, and a cushioning material is provided to reduce the pain on the part.

In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the chin cushioning material 2 and the occipital cushioning material 4 are provided in each part of the jaw and the occipital region. It is important to provide a cushioning material.
The material of the cushioning materials 2 and 4 is made of resin or rubber, and in order to prevent deterioration and improve durability, the surface of the cushioning material at the location is coated or the location is buffered. It is desirable to take care such as inserting materials.
When the fastener 5 is used in a hospital or the like, it is desirable to select a fastener having a high durability because of its high desorption frequency. In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the fastener 5 is the male side, and the cloth on which the fastener 5 can be attached is used on the surface of the jaw part tool. By doing so, it is possible to adapt to any head shape without restricting the attachment position of the fastener 5.
In addition, when the attachment position of the fastener 5 can be decided, you may provide the female side of the fastener in the part to mount.

In the embodiment of FIG. 1, a fastener B <b> 7 is provided for attaching the jaw tool 1 to the hanger 8, and a fastener A <b> 6 is provided for attaching the back head tool 3 to the hanger 8.
Both the clasp A6 and clasp B7 may be made of metal or resin. However, since the strut is a portion where traction force is repeatedly applied, attention should be paid to the strength when using resin.

The limiting extension part showing the features of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 2 (a) is a part of a portion that connects the chin tool 1 to the hanger 8. Here, the part of the belt connected to the fastener B7 is made of a material that expands and contracts. However, the material has a structure that not only expands and contracts but also extends only to a certain length. For example, a belt woven with woven rubber or flat rubber is used, and a band having the function is used. The fixed length varies depending on the purpose of use, but is usually 1 to 15 cm. Moreover, since the said part is a part to which tractive force is repeatedly applied, in order to ensure safety, it is necessary to give priority to quality and to conduct a sufficient durability test in advance.

The effects produced when such a function is provided will be described with reference to FIGS.
4A is a human body wearing view of a conventional cervical traction device, and FIG. 4B is a human body wearing view of a cervical traction device provided with a limiting extension part of the present invention.
Conventionally, when the brace is towed, the brace and the back of the head are pulled simultaneously because the brace is pulled together as shown in FIG.
Here, it is easy to understand by looking at the figure, but the brace is easy to shift the orthosis, and the jaw is difficult to shift the brace. Therefore, it is unavoidable depending on the shape of the head, and if it is a conventional brace, it will be able to tow the jaw part more reliably than tow the back head.
For this reason, depending on the case, a traction force is preferentially applied to the jaw part, and a patient who complains of pain in the above-described jaw part, temporomandibular joint, tooth, etc. occurs.
Therefore, the cervical traction device of the present invention is provided with a function that preferentially applies a traction force to the occipital region rather than the jaw.

FIG. 4B is a structural explanatory view of the cervical traction device of the present invention.
As can be seen from the figure, by providing an appropriate limited extension 41 in the illustrated portion of the cervical traction device, a traction force is preferentially applied to the occipital device 3 at the beginning of traction so that the limited extension 41 can follow it later. A traction force is applied to the jaw part 1 and no traction force is immediately applied to the jaw part.
However, when a member having a simple stretchability is used, the member stretches endlessly by traction, and the traction force cannot be properly transmitted to the skull, so that proper cervical traction therapy cannot be performed.

Therefore, in the present invention, a function for properly transmitting the traction force to the cranium is provided by providing the member that expands and contracts with a function that does not extend beyond a certain length.
Therefore, the jaws, temporomandibular joints, teeth, etc. are no longer painful by pulling the jaws, which has been a problem until now.
In addition, from the same effect, even if the head is pulled in a posture that preferentially pulls the back of the head and the head is bent forward, it is possible to perform appropriate traction treatment by appropriately applying the traction force directly to the skull. .
Moreover, since the jaw part tool 3 has elasticity, it became easy to attach to a jaw part easily, and there was no troublesome about attachment.
In addition, even if the stretchability deteriorates and breaks after long-term use, the strength of the base material of a certain length can still be maintained without deterioration, thus preventing the risk of sudden tearing. It becomes possible.

In this embodiment, the occipital tool 3 has been described as having no stretchability. However, the gist of the occipital tool 3 may be preferentially applied to the occipital tool 3, so that the occipital tool 3 is similar to the chin tool 1. It is also possible to provide a similar function by providing a difference in the expansion / contraction strength between the jaw part tool 1 and the occipital part tool 3 by providing a limited extension part.

FIG. 2B shows another embodiment, in which a stretchable b rubber band 23 and a non-stretchable belt 22 are separately provided in place of the woven rubber 21 shown in FIG. At this time, material selection and shape design are performed in the same manner as described above.
When this structure is used, it is possible to easily adjust and change a certain length of extension and a length that limits the extension.

FIG. 2 (c) shows another embodiment, in which a clip B7 is used as the limiting extension 41 instead of the woven rubber 21 shown in FIG. 2 (a). The rubber ring metal fitting 25 constituting the outer periphery of the fastener may be made of the same material as the conventional fastener B7, but a rubber ring 27 is provided on the inside thereof. The jaw ring 1 is made stretchable by the rubber ring 27, and the stretch allowance is limited by the rubber ring metal fitting 25. Here, since the rubber ring 27 is a portion where traction force is repeatedly applied, it is necessary to provide high strength rubber. If the strength is insufficient with a general rubber ring, a linear damper or the like can be used.
If this structure is used, it will be possible to make the elasticity representing the stretchability of the jaw unit 1 constant with higher accuracy.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment, in which the limit extension 41 is provided on the hanger cushion 32 in the hanger 8.
In FIG. 3, the hanger 8 includes a hanger fitting 31 and a hanger cushioning material 32. Here, the portions B and B ′ of the hanger cushioning material 32 are made of an elastic or stretchable material so that the hanger metal fitting 31 stays at the proper position so that the portion does not fully extend.
By using this structure, even if the orthosis is a conventional cervical traction device, it is possible to obtain a cervical traction device having the same function as that of the present invention only by replacing the hanger 8.
