Abstract
Description
酸化物タイプの粉末にされた原料を、ガラス装填を形成するように図1に示されているタイプの炉へ導入する。
Claims (16)
- 原料を電極を備えた円形炉に導入し、次いで、原料を前記炉中で溶融(fusion)して、溶融しているガラス化可能材料を形成し、その後、炉中の溶融しているガラス化可能材料を側面の出口を経て炉から流出させて分配チャンネルに供給し、次いで分配チャンネルの炉の底部上のオリフィスを経て溶融しているガラス化可能材料を流出させて、繊維成形装置に供給し、その後、前記繊維成形装置によって溶融しているガラス化可能材料の繊維に成形することを含んでいる、鉱物繊維の製造方法において、炉と分配チャンネル間の溶融しているガラス化可能材料の流れは、高さが調節可能な金属ダム下を通過し、金属ダムは冷却流体の流れにより冷却されるエンベロープを具備することを特徴とする方法。
- 溶融しているガラス化可能材料が2重量%を超える酸化鉄を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 溶融しているガラス化可能材料が3重量%またはさらには4重量%を超える酸化鉄を含むことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の方法。
- 溶融しているガラス化可能材料が20重量%を下回る酸化鉄を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ダムの下を通過する溶融しているガラス化可能材料は、その失透温度よりも高い温度を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ダムの下を通過する溶融しているガラス化可能材料は、850〜1700℃の範囲の温度を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 溶融しているガラス化可能材料は、1〜30%のアルミナを含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 溶融しているガラス化可能材料は、15〜30%のアルミナを含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ダムの下を通過する溶融しているガラス化可能材料は、1200〜1700℃の範囲の温度を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ダムは、20〜60cmの範囲の幅を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 炉の底部が1〜25m2の範囲の表面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 炉の出力は、1日当たり5〜100トンの範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ダムの高さは、溶融しているガラス化可能材料の粘度が繊維成形装置において25Pa.s〜120Pa.sの範囲にあるように調節されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至12のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 電極をその上部からガラス化可能材料に浸漬させることを特徴とする請求項1乃至13のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ガラス化可能材料と接触する電極の一部分は、モリブデンから作られることを特徴とする請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 繊維への成形は、出力を決定する工程であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至15のいずれか1項記載の方法。
