Description

The present invention relates to a harness provided with a twisted pair wire used in an in-vehicle network.

2. Description of the Related Art Currently, with the enhancement of performance and functionality of vehicles, vehicles are equipped with a plurality of ECUs (Electronic Control Units) for controlling various in-vehicle devices. For communication between the ECUs, a harness having a connector at the end of a twisted pair wire in which two electric wires are twisted is used in order to reduce the superposition of noise on a communication signal. In such a harness, twisted pair wires need to be twisted back in order to connect to the connector. However, in a twisted pair wire, the distance between the two wires in the untwisted portion affects the characteristic impedance. Specifically, the longer the separation dimension, the higher the characteristic impedance. For this reason, in the twisted pair wire, the characteristic impedance of the untwisted part is not matched with the characteristic impedance of the other part. If this mismatch is too large, there is a problem that signal reflection or the like occurs in high-speed electrical signal transmission. This problem is remarkable when the electric wire is thin.

Patent Document 1 describes a harness including a holding member that holds a twisted-back portion of a twisted pair wire. This holding member can lower the characteristic impedance of the untwisted portion by holding the two wires close to each other in the portion exposed to the outside of the connector, thereby reducing the characteristic impedance mismatch of the twisted pair wire. Can be suppressed.

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2004-074104

However, in the harness of Patent Document 1, since the holding member is provided only outside the connector, the distance between the wires is large inside the connector, and it is difficult to sufficiently suppress the characteristic impedance mismatch. As a result, there is a risk of affecting communication quality.

The wire support portions 422 and 422 have an upper surface formed in an arc shape so as to be continuous with the holding holes 411 and 411, and have substantially the same longitudinal dimension as the base portion 421a of the side plate 421. Front end portions 422a and 422a are connected to the lower portions of the front ends of the wire support portions 422 and 422, respectively. Each of the front end portions 422a and 422a has a thin plate shape, and has a dimension in the front-rear direction that is shorter than the dimension in the front-rear direction of the front end portion 421b of the side plate 421.

A procedure for attaching the holding member 4 configured as described above will be described. FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram showing a mounting state of the holding member 4. In FIG. 6, the upper portion of the connector 3 is removed and the inside of the terminal accommodating chamber 32 is shown.

After the twisted pair wire 2 is connected to the connector 3 as described above, the holding member 4 is positioned outside the connector 3 with respect to the untwisted portion U protruding from the adjacent terminal accommodating chambers 32, 32. In this positioning, the second holding portion 42 is directed toward the openings of the terminal storage chambers 32 and 32. Next, the two electric wires 21 and 21 of the untwisted portion U are inserted into the holding holes 411 and 411 of the first holding portion 41 through the groove 413, and the holding holes 411 and 411 are connected to the second holding. The wire support portions 422 and 422 of the portion 42 are held. Since the holding member 4 is made of an elastic material as described above, the two electric wires 21 and 21 can be easily fitted into the holding holes 411 and 411, and the holding holes 411 and 411 are inserted into the inserted electric wires 21 and 411. 21 can be reliably held.

Next, the holding member 4 is slid along the untwisted portion U held in the holding holes 411 and 411, and the second holding portion 42 of the holding member 4 is inserted into the terminal storage chambers 32 and 32. The second holding portion 42 includes a pair of side plates 421 and 421, and the side plates 421 and 421 are inserted into the terminal storage chamber 32 together with the wire support portions 422 and 422 extending inward from the side plates 421 and 421. It is. As described above, the side plates 421 and 421 have tapered tip portions 421b and 421b, the wire support portions 422 and 422 have thin tip portions 422a and 422a, and the second holding portion 42 has a tip end. The parts 421b and 422a can be easily inserted as a guide. Further, since the first holding part 41 has a larger vertical dimension than the terminal accommodating chamber 32, the insertion of the second holding part 42 is such that the end surface of the first holding part 41 is the opening of the terminal accommodating chamber 32. It stops at the position where it hits the periphery, and can prevent the electric wires 21 and 21 from being damaged by excessive insertion.

As shown in FIG. 6, the pair of side plates 421 and 421 face the partition wall 33 with a space inside the terminal accommodating chambers 32 and 32 into which the two side plates 421 and 421 are inserted, respectively. It is sandwiched between the wall 33 and the side plates 421 and 421. Further, the wire support portions 422 and 422 are opposed to inner walls that are respectively continuous with one end side of the partition wall 33 inside the terminal accommodating chambers 32 and 32 into which the wire supports 422 and 422 are inserted, respectively. It is also sandwiched between the inner wall and the wire support portions 422 and 422. Since the holding member 4 is made of an elastic material as described above, and the side plates 421 and 421 and the wire support portions 422 and 422 are also elastic, damage to the wires 21 and 21 due to clamping can be prevented.

As described above, the electric wires 21 and 21 inside the terminal accommodating chambers 32 and 32 are located close to each other through the partition wall 33 between the terminal accommodating chambers 32 and 32 by the action of the side plates 421 and 421 provided in the second holding portion. In addition, due to the action of the electric wire support portions 422 and 422 included in the second holding portion 42, the second holding portion 42 moves toward one end side of the partition wall 33 and is restrained at a position close to each other. Further, since this restriction is realized within the insertion length range of the second holding portion 42, the electric wires 21 and 21 are held at positions close to each other until reaching the vicinity of the connection portion with the terminals 51 and 51. The

The electric wires 21 and 21 extending outside the terminal accommodating chambers 32 and 32 are held close to each other by fitting the first holding portions 41 and 41 into the holding holes 411 and 411. As described above, in the harness 1 according to the first embodiment, the two electric wires 21 and 21 of the twisted-back portion U of the twisted pair wire 2 connected to the connector 3 are held close to each other including not only the outside of the connector 3 but also the inside. Therefore, the characteristic impedance mismatch between the untwisted portion U and the other portion can be sufficiently suppressed, and the communication quality can be improved.

As shown in FIG. 6, the tape 5 is wound around the outer surface of the first holding portion 41. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the electric wires 21 and 21 held by the first holding part 41 from being pulled out. Note that a fastener such as a binding band may be used instead of the tape.

FIG. 7 is an explanatory view when the holding member 4 is not attached, and FIG. 8 is an explanatory view when the holding member 4 is attached. As shown in FIG. 8, when the holding member 4 is attached, the electric wires 21, 21 are extended from adjacent corners of the openings of the two adjacent terminal storage chambers 32, and thus the terminal storage chamber 32. The distance between the electric wires 21 and 21 inside is smaller than the distance when the holding member 4 is not attached as shown in FIG. Thereby, the characteristic impedance of the untwisted portion U can be kept low.

As described above, in the first embodiment, the cross-sectional shape of the terminal accommodating chamber 32 is substantially square. However, the shape is not limited to this and may be other shapes such as a rectangle. In the first embodiment, the terminal 51 is a socket terminal, but may be a pin terminal. Furthermore, in Embodiment 1, each part which comprises the holding member 4 may be formed integrally, and may be formed separately.

In Embodiment 1, although the 1st holding | maintenance part 41 has comprised the rectangular parallelepiped shape, the 1st holding | maintenance part is not restricted to a rectangular parallelepiped shape, It can be set as appropriate shapes, such as a column shape. In the first embodiment, each of the holding holes 411 and 411 has a circular cross section, but the cross sectional shape of the holding holes 411 and 411 is not limited to a circular shape, and can arbitrarily hold the electric wires 21 and 21. It may be a shape. For example, the cross-sectional shape of the holding holes 411 and 411 may be a square whose width is substantially the same as the diameter of the electric wires 21 and 21. In the first embodiment, the holding holes 411 and 411 are arranged so that their cross sections are circumscribed. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the holding holes 411 and 411 may be partially overlapped. Furthermore, the holding holes 411 and 411 may be formed as one through hole having a cross section of an ellipse or a rectangle.

In the first embodiment, the wire support portion 422 includes a thin plate-shaped tip portion 422a. However, the shape of the tip portion 422a is not limited to this, and the thickness decreases toward the tip side. It may be a configuration. For example, a tapered surface may be formed on the lower surface of the tip portion 422a.

In the first embodiment, the pair of side plates 421 and 421 are formed symmetrically, but may be formed asymmetrically as long as the two electric wires 21 and 21 can be restrained. Similarly, in the first embodiment, the pair of electric wire support portions 42 and 42 are formed symmetrically, but may be formed asymmetrically as long as the two electric wires 21 and 21 can be constrained.

Further, in the first embodiment, a description has been given of a mode in which the pair of side plates 421 and 421 are fitted in the two terminal accommodating chambers 32 and 32 adjacent to each other in the left-right direction, but the pair of side plates 421 and 421 are adjacent to each other in the vertical direction. It may be fitted into the two terminal accommodating chambers 32, 32. Moreover, in Embodiment 1, although the electric wire holding part 422 of the 2nd holding part 42 demonstrated the form located in the lower part of the electric wire 21 in the terminal storage chamber 32, the electric wire of the 2nd holding part 42 was needed as needed. The holding part 422 may be located on the upper part of the electric wire 21.

(Embodiment 2)
In the description of the second embodiment, the same configuration as that of the first embodiment shall be referred to and the description thereof will be omitted.

FIG. 9 is a perspective view of an end portion of the harness 10 according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The harness 10 includes a twisted pair wire 2, a connector 6 connected to one end portion of the twisted pair wire 2, and a holding member 7 attached to one end portion of the twisted pair wire 2. Further, the connector 6 and the holding member 7 are also provided at the other end (not shown) of the twisted pair wire 2.

The connector 6 includes a terminal accommodating chamber 62. Four terminal accommodating chambers 62 are arranged in two rows and two columns, but the number of terminal accommodating chambers 62 may be arbitrarily set as necessary. The terminal accommodating chamber 62 is a rectangular cross-sectional space provided so as to communicate between two opposing surfaces.

10 is an external perspective view of the holding member 7, and FIG. 11 is a cross-sectional view taken along line XI-XI in FIG. In addition, the state attached to the edge part of the twisted pair wire 2 is shown by FIG. The holding member 7 is made of, for example, an elastic material such as rubber, and includes cases 70 and 70 that can be divided into two by a dividing line 7c. The holding member 7 has a hollow rectangular parallelepiped shape, and the whole can be fitted into the terminal accommodating chamber 62. The end surface 7 a on one end side in the longitudinal direction of the holding member 7 has the same shape as the opening on one surface of the terminal accommodating chamber 62 of the connector 6. On the other end side of the holding member 7, an inclined surface 74 is provided by cutting off the four sides into a slope, and an end surface 7 b that is smaller than the end surface 7 a on one end side is formed. Thus, since the internal space on the other end side of the holding member 7 is surrounded by the inclined portion 74, it is narrower than the internal space on the one end side and closer to the end surface 7b.

As shown in FIG. 11, each of the cases 70 and 70 is provided with a partition wall 71 extending in the longitudinal direction substantially at the center of the inner surface on one end side. The internal space on one end side of the holding member 7 is partitioned into two terminal storage portions 72, 72 by a partition wall 71, and terminals 51, which are fixed by crimping to the terminal portions of the two electric wires 21, 21, respectively. 51 are stored side by side. The extension length of the partition wall 71 may be set based on the length of the terminal 51 to be accommodated, and is preferably set slightly longer than the length of the terminal 51.

The end surface 7a of the holding member 7 communicates with each of the two terminal storage portions 72, 72, and has an opening for connecting to a terminal of another connector. The end surface 7b is formed with a pair of lead-out holes 73, 73 that lead out the two electric wires 21, 21 from the internal space. Each of the lead-out holes 73 and 73 is a through-hole having a circular cross section having substantially the same diameter as the electric wires 21 and 21, and is arranged in the left-right direction so that the cross-section is circumscribed.

When attaching the connector 6 and the holding member 7 to the end of the twisted pair wire 2, first, for example, the terminals 51, 51 that are crimped and fixed to the terminal portions of the two electric wires 21, 21 are first partitioned walls 71 of one case 70. The holding member 7 is attached to the end of the twisted pair wire 2 by fixing the other case 70 together through the dividing line 7c. The inclined portion 74 restrains the electric wires 21 and 21 located in the internal space of the holding member 7 at positions close to each other. Since the holding member 7 is made of an elastic material as described above and the inclined portion 74 also has elasticity, damage to the electric wires 21 and 21 due to restraint can be prevented.

Next, the connector 6 is attached to the end of the twisted pair wire 2 by inserting and fitting the holding member 7 storing the terminals 51 into the terminal accommodating chamber 62 of the connector 6 from the end surface 7 a side. Since the holding member 7 is made of an elastic material as described above, it can be easily inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber 62.

Thereby, since the electric wires 21 and 21 inside the terminal accommodating chamber 62 are restrained at positions close to each other, the distance between the electric wires 21 and 21 can be kept short. Therefore, in the harness 10 according to Embodiment 2, the characteristic impedance of the untwisted portion U can be kept low.

As described above, in the second embodiment, the terminal housing chamber 62 has a rectangular cross-sectional shape, but is not limited thereto, and may have another shape such as a square. In the second embodiment, each of the lead-out holes 73 and 73 has a circular cross section, but the cross-sectional shape of the lead-out holes 73 and 73 is not limited to a circle, and the electric wires 21 and 21 can be restrained. Any arbitrary shape may be used. For example, the sectional shape of each of the outlet holes 73 and 73 may be a square whose width is substantially the same as the diameter of the electric wires 21 and 21. In the second embodiment, the lead-out holes 73 and 73 are arranged side by side so that the cross section circumscribes them. Furthermore, the lead-out holes 73 and 73 may be formed as one through hole having a cross section of an ellipse or a rectangle.

The embodiment disclosed this time is to be considered as illustrative in all points and not restrictive. The scope of the present invention is defined by the terms of the claims, rather than the meanings described above, and is intended to include any modifications within the scope and meaning equivalent to the terms of the claims.
