Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a water treatment filter medium coating agent and a water treatment filter medium using the same.
As a water treatment filter medium, a porous body (porous membrane) made of tetrafluoroethylene resin (PTFE) or the like is used. However, a porous membrane made of PTFE or the like has a water repellency, so that it is difficult for water to permeate through the fine porous structure. Therefore, after the PTFE porous membrane is impregnated with an organic solvent soluble in water such as ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, it can be replaced with water to be hydrophilic. However, the hydrophilization treatment by this method has a problem that bubbles and dissolved gas in an aqueous solution are gradually adhered, and wettability is lowered in a short time.
As a method for hydrophilizing the PTFE porous membrane, a method of coating a hydrophilic resin on the surface of the fine porous structure of the PTFE porous membrane has been proposed. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses that a porous PTFE membrane can be hydrophilized by using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and a crosslinking agent.
Water treatment filter media adheres to so-called bio-fouling, which is a mixture of insoluble matter and microorganisms and their extracellular products, depending on the use. Therefore, use an oxidizing agent such as sodium hypochlorite or an alkaline agent such as sodium hydroxide. It is regularly cleaned and durability against these is required. However, the coating agent of Patent Document 1 has a problem that the coating agent deteriorates in a short time.
This invention provides the coating agent for water treatment filter media which is excellent in durability to oxidizing agents, such as sodium hypochlorite, and alkaline agents, such as sodium hydroxide, and can maintain hydrophilicity over a long period of time.

[Examples 1-30, Comparative Examples 1-8]
It mixed so that solid content of each raw material might become the ratio of Tables 1-4. This was diluted with water so that the solid content concentration of the water-soluble resin was 1% by weight, to obtain a coating agent for water treatment filter media. As a water treatment filter medium, a microporous polytetrafluoroethylene membrane (laminated body with a polyester nonwoven fabric having a pore diameter of 0.2 μm and a thickness of 200 μm) was used. As a pretreatment, ethanol was impregnated and then ion-exchanged water was used. Replaced. Subsequently, padding treatment was performed with the above-described coating agent for water treatment filter media, and squeezing with mangle was performed so that the squeezing rate was 150% by weight, and further heat treatment was performed under the conditions described in the table to prepare a test piece. Durability was evaluated by the following method using the obtained test piece. The results are shown in Tables 1-4.
<耐久性1>
<Durability 1>
The test piece was immersed in a 0.6 wt% sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution (25 ° C.) for the period described in Tables 1-4. Subsequently, an evaluation sample was prepared by washing with ion exchanged water and drying at 25 ° C. for 10 hours. About the obtained evaluation sample and the test piece before immersion (immersion period: 0 day), the wettability was evaluated by the following method.
<耐久性2>

(Wetability evaluation method)
One drop (about 0.05 mL) of water was dropped from a height of 10 cm on a test piece before immersion and the prepared evaluation sample using a dropper, and wettability was evaluated according to the following criteria.
◎: Water droplet penetrates into PTFE porous membrane within 1 minute ○: Water droplet exceeds 1 minute and penetrates into PTFE porous membrane within 5 minutes Δ: Water droplet does not penetrate into PTFE porous membrane within 5 minutes However, the PTFE porous membrane gets slightly wet x: Water droplets do not penetrate the PTFE porous membrane at all, and the PTFE porous membrane does not get wet
