耐環境皮膜(210)が、アルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩と希土類ケイ酸塩を含む混合物から形成される1以上の気密性自己シール層(212)を含んでおり、
1以上の気密性自己シール層(212)が、高温加熱処理に付したときに正味の残存又は残留膨張を実質的に呈さない、物品(200)。 - 前記混合物が、混合物の約10体積%〜約50体積%の量のアルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩を含む、請求項1記載の物品(200)。
- 前記混合物が、混合物の約50体積%〜約90体積%の量の希土類ケイ酸塩を含む、請求項1記載の物品(200)。
- アルカリ土類金属アルミノケイ酸塩が、バリウムストロンチウムアルミノケイ酸塩(BSAS)を含む、請求項1記載の物品(200)。
- 希土類ケイ酸塩が、希土類一ケイ酸塩及び希土類二ケイ酸塩からなる群から選択される、請求項1記載の物品(200)。

1以上の気密性自己シール層(212)を、自己シール層(212)の少なくとも一部が流動するのに十分な時間、約800℃〜約1350℃の高温加熱処理に付して物品(200)を形成する工程と
を含んでおり、
1以上の気密性自己シール層(212)が、堆積工程の後の高温加熱処理に付したときに正味の残存又は残留膨張を実質的に呈さない、方法。 - 基材(202)の上に耐環境皮膜(210)を堆積させる工程が、
基材(202)の上にボンドコート(204)を設ける工程と、
ボンドコート(204)に混合物を堆積させて、基材(202)のボンドコート(204)の上に1以上の気密性自己シール層(212)を形成する工程と
を含む、請求項21記載の方法。 - 基材(202)の上に耐環境皮膜(210)を堆積させる工程が、
基材(202)の上にボンドコート(204)を設ける工程と、
ボンドコート(204)に混合物を堆積させて、基材(202)のボンドコート(204)の上に1以上の気密性自己シール層(212)を形成する工程と、
気密性自己シール層(212)の上にトップコート(214)を設ける工程と
を含む、請求項21記載の方法。 - 基材(202)の上に耐環境皮膜(210)を堆積させる工程が、
基材(202)の上にボンドコート(204)を設ける工程と、
ボンドコート(204)の上に、ケイ酸に対して実質的に不活性なバリア材料を含む中間層(216)を設ける工程と、
中間層(216)に混合物を堆積させて、基材(202)の中間層(216)の上に1以上の気密性自己シール層(212)を形成する工程と
