Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a tab lead inspection method, a tab lead manufacturing method, and a tab lead inspection apparatus used in electrochemical devices such as secondary batteries (eg, lithium ion secondary batteries) and electric double layer capacitors.
In the present specification and claims, the term “aluminum” is used to include both pure aluminum and an aluminum alloy unless otherwise specified.
A tab lead used for, for example, a lithium ion secondary battery as an electrochemical device generally includes a conductive tab lead body and a resin insulating film. The main purpose of the insulating film is to ensure electrical insulation between the sealing seal portion of the bag-shaped exterior body and the tab lead body, and the sealing seal portion of the exterior body in the length direction of the tab lead body. It is welded (fixed) to the portion corresponding to 1 in such a manner as to cover the entire circumference in the circumferential direction.
In the state where the insulating film is welded to the tab lead body in this way, the insulating film adjacent to each side surface in the width direction of the tab lead body has a tunnel-like shape extending in the length direction of the tab lead body along the side surface of the tab lead body. A defect consisting of a cavity may be generated (formed) (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Such a defect is called tunneling. If tunneling occurs, the sealing performance of the exterior body will deteriorate, the electrolyte solution in the exterior body will leak, or the amount of moisture entering from the outside will increase, causing hydrolysis of the electrolyte solution in the exterior body to generate hydrofluoric acid. In addition, the hydrofluoric acid generated causes a decrease in the sealing strength of the sealing portion of the outer package and leakage of the electrolytic solution. As a result, there arises a problem that the battery performance is deteriorated.
In order to prevent the occurrence of such a problem, the occurrence state of tunneling of the tab lead is inspected before the tab lead is attached to the exterior body. As the inspection method, a loupe method, a reflection microscope method, and a transmission microscope method are proposed.
The loupe method is a method in which a fluorescent lamp is used as an illumination light source, and the transmitted light that has passed through the expected tunneling occurrence portion is observed and inspected with a human eye using a loupe.
The reflection microscope method is a method in which halogen light is used as an illumination light source, and a person observes and inspects reflected light reflected from a tunneling expected portion by a microscope.
Transmission microscopy is a method in which a white LED is used as an illumination light source, and a person observes and inspects the transmitted light that has passed through a tunneling expected portion by a microscope.
However, in these inspection methods, when the insulating film is colored, there is a problem that the inspection accuracy is deteriorated with respect to the occurrence of tunneling. Furthermore, since these inspection methods are all sensory inspections, it is difficult to quantify (quantify) the state of occurrence of tunneling, and as a result, the inspection accuracy also decreases.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described technical background, and an object of the present invention is to provide a tab lead inspection method and a tab lead manufacturing method using the tab lead inspection method capable of improving the inspection accuracy of the tunneling occurrence state. The present invention has the following effects.
In the preceding item [1], the transmitted light that is transmitted by irradiating the light from the illumination light source onto the tunneling expected portion of the insulating film is imaged by the CCD camera, so that the insulating film is further colored as well as when the insulating film is transparent. Even in such a case, it is possible to improve the inspection accuracy of the tunneling occurrence state. In addition, since the tunneling occurrence state is inspected using the image data of the CCD camera, the tunneling occurrence state can be quantified (quantified), thereby further increasing the inspection accuracy of the tunneling occurrence state. Can do. Furthermore, the inspection time can be shortened.
In the preceding item [2], it is possible to suppress a decrease in inspection accuracy due to the influence of the shape of the insulating film.
In the previous items [3] and [4], the inspection accuracy can be improved more reliably.
In the preceding item [5], it is possible to obtain a tab lead capable of suppressing the occurrence of a problem due to tunneling.
In the preceding items [6] to [9], it is possible to provide a tab lead inspection apparatus suitably used in the tab lead inspection method described in the preceding items [1] to [4].
Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, an inspection target product by a tab lead inspection method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a tab lead used as a positive
As shown in FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
The
The shape of the
The
In the state where the
The insulating
As shown in FIG. 3, the size of the insulating
3 and 4, the insulating
The
The configuration of the insulating
As shown in FIG. 4, the insulating
In a state where the insulating
Next, the inspection method of the
In the present embodiment, as shown in the figure, as the inspection of the
When inspecting the occurrence state of the
The
The
Furthermore, the
The
In short, the determination method for determining whether or not the
The
According to the inspection method of the above embodiment, the light transmitted from the
Further, the occurrence state of the
Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to that shown in the above embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
