Abstract
Description
Embodiments described herein relate generally to a breakage diagnosis technique for a leak detector that detects a leak of liquid metal.
In a plant handling liquid metal, when a liquid metal leak occurs, it is necessary to quickly detect the leak to ensure the safety of the plant. For example, sodium is handled as a liquid metal in a fast breeder reactor, and a plurality of leak detectors for detecting leakage of sodium are installed in equipment and piping.
The monitoring control device inputs a detection signal from the leak detector and notifies the operator that sodium leak has occurred. Then, the operator who has received the notification of the occurrence of leakage performs emergency operation to ensure the safety of the plant.
Leak detectors are mainly classified into gas sampling type and contact type. In the gas sampling type, air in the vicinity of equipment and piping is sucked by a vacuum pump, and minute sodium contained in the air is detected as a change in ion current. On the other hand, the contact type detects leakage using the conductivity of liquid metal. Leakage is detected when the liquid metal comes into contact with the two electrodes serving as the detection unit and the electrodes are electrically connected.
A typical cable system in the contact type leak detector will be described in detail. The cable system includes two electrodes including a core wire and a sheath. The sheath is formed by forming a cylindrical electrode by forming a conductive wire into a net shape, and the rod-shaped core wire is disposed at a certain distance so that the center of the cylinder does not contact the sheath.
When sodium leaks from equipment installed in the fast breeder reactor (for example, a dump tank that stores sodium, a cold trap that is a cooling facility for sodium, etc.), sodium enters the sheath, and the core wire and the sheath become conductive. A leak is detected.
Patent Document 1 discloses a technique for realizing a highly reliable contact leak detector by providing an air hole in an electrode.
By the way, in the contact-type leak detector, if the signal line connecting the leak detector and the external monitoring control device is disconnected, the leakage of the liquid metal may not be detected. There is.
Therefore, it is necessary for the operator to check the soundness of the leak detector by periodically conducting a leak detector conduction check work (disconnection diagnosis work) using a tester or the like. And this confirmation work needs to be left as a maintenance record. For this reason, when the number of leak detectors is large, the amount of work becomes enormous, and the work load on the operator is increased.
In addition, since the continuity confirmation by the tester can only determine the presence or absence of disconnection, there is a problem that it is not possible to determine the sign of disconnection, and preventive maintenance cannot be sufficiently performed.
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a leakage detector breakage diagnosis technique that reduces the workload of an operator who performs a breakage diagnosis operation of a leak detector.

A step of outputting a disconnection diagnostic signal, and a step of diagnosing the presence or absence of disconnection based on whether or not the leakage detection signal is input after the disconnection diagnostic signal is output. And features.

The leakage detection

At this time, if no breakage occurs in the
When no disconnection occurs, the leakage detection signal s is converted from an optical signal to an electrical signal using the

Thus, the
Thereby, since it is not necessary to perform the disconnection diagnosis work in the field by a tester etc., a work load of an operator is significantly reduced. Further, since the result of the disconnection diagnosis is automatically recorded in the diagnosis

When no breakage occurs in the
Then, the output of the disconnection diagnosis signal u is terminated, and subsequently the output of the alarm stop signal t is terminated to end the disconnection diagnosis mode.
Because, sometimes leak detection signal s is erroneously detected, the detection time T 1 is a predetermined time of the leakage detection signal s (e.g., the same time and the output time of the disconnection diagnosis signal u) at the
The leak detection signal s is input to the leak detection

Then, the disconnection diagnosis
The
And the diagnostic
(S17)。 Since the diagnosis is finished, the output of the disconnection diagnosis signal u is finished (S16). Subsequently, the output of the alarm stop signal t is terminated and the disconnection diagnosis mode is terminated (S17).
In this way, by switching to the disconnection diagnosis mode, disconnection confirmation and disconnection diagnosis result recording are automatically executed, so the workload of the operator who performs the disconnection diagnosis work is reduced.

The current

The disconnection
When the current value is less than the predetermined threshold value, the disconnection
Thus, by measuring the current value of the leakage detection signal s in the diagnostic mode, it is possible to grasp a sign of disconnection in the
According to each disconnection diagnosis system described above, when switching to the disconnection diagnosis mode, the electrodes of the leak detector are connected to each other, and the presence or absence of the disconnection is diagnosed by whether or not the leak detection signal is input.
