Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical fiber cable and a temperature distribution measurement system.
In recent years, attempts have been made to increase the yield, improve quality, and avoid pests by managing the farming environment. In order to manage the cultivation environment of crops, it is important to measure the temperature of the cultivation environment. Especially for high value-added agricultural products in house cultivation, it is required to detect the temperature of each place in the house and make the growth environment uniform.
Conventionally, for example, about one temperature sensor is installed per 100 m 2 of farmland. However, in order to manage the growing environment in more detail, a higher density temperature measurement is important.
An object of the present invention is to provide an optical fiber cable that has high resistance to bending stress and tensile stress and is suitable for temperature measurement in a wide range, and a temperature distribution measurement system using the optical fiber cable.
According to an aspect of the disclosed technology, a wire-shaped tension member having at least a peripheral surface formed of an organic material, an optical fiber core wound around the tension member, and a length of the optical fiber core There is provided an optical fiber cable having a fixing portion that is arranged at a predetermined pitch along a direction and that partially fixes the optical fiber core wire to the tension member.
According to another aspect of the disclosed technology, an optical fiber cable having a wire-like tension member and an optical fiber core wound around the tension member, and the optical fiber core of the optical fiber cable An optically connected temperature distribution measuring device, wherein at least a peripheral surface of the tension member of the optical fiber cable is formed of a resin material, and the optical fiber core wire has a predetermined pitch along its length direction. There is provided a temperature distribution measuring system fixed to the tension member at a fixing portion arranged in (1).
The optical fiber cable which concerns on the said one viewpoint has high tolerance with respect to a bending stress and a tensile stress, and its responsiveness with respect to a temperature change is also good.
The temperature distribution measuring apparatus according to the above aspect uses an optical fiber cable that is highly resistant to the bending stress and tensile stress and has good responsiveness to a temperature change, and is therefore suitable for temperature management of a farming environment.
Hereinafter, before describing the embodiment, a preliminary matter for facilitating understanding of the embodiment will be described.
As described above, conventionally, a temperature sensor is installed at a rate of about one per 100 m 2 of farmland to measure the temperature of the farming environment. However, in order to manage the farming environment in more detail, it is important to measure the temperature at a higher density.
In that case, if so-called point-type temperature sensors such as thermistors, platinum resistors, and thermocouples are used as temperature sensors, a large number of wires are required to connect the temperature sensor and the measuring device, resulting in huge installation and maintenance costs. The problem of becoming occurs.
In order to avoid such a problem, it is also conceivable to measure the temperature distribution of the growing environment of the crop using infrared thermography. However, infrared thermography can measure the surface temperature of an object, but cannot measure the temperature distribution of the space.
Therefore, it is conceivable to use an optical fiber as a temperature sensor. The inventors of the present application have proposed a temperature measurement method for performing correction calculation using a transfer function with respect to a temperature distribution detected by an optical fiber (
By the way, normally, an optical fiber has a peripheral surface covered with a coating material such as a resin to protect the optical fiber from scratches and dirt. However, if the thickness of the covering material is excessively increased, the responsiveness to temperature changes is deteriorated.
Therefore, in the case of an optical fiber used as a temperature sensor, it is preferable to make the coating material as thin as possible. For example, an optical fiber used for temperature measurement at a data center has a fiber diameter of 125 μm and a coating material thickness of about 0.06 mm to 0.3 mm. Hereinafter, the optical fiber coated with the coating material is referred to as an optical fiber core wire.
When the optical fiber core wire is used for measuring the temperature of the growing environment of the crop, for example, it may be necessary to change the laying position of the optical fiber core as the crop grows. Moreover, since it interferes with farm work, the optical fiber core wire may be temporarily removed.
If a strong bending stress or tensile stress is applied to the optical fiber during these operations, the optical characteristics of the optical fiber change and the temperature measurement accuracy is significantly reduced. Moreover, since the optical fiber core wire is thin, it is conceivable that the optical fiber core wire is disconnected by applying a strong stress.
In order to solve such a problem, for example, it is conceivable that a steel wire is disposed along the optical fiber core wire, and the optical fiber core wire and the steel wire are covered with a secondary coating material and integrated. Thereby, the steel wire functions as a tension member, the stress applied to the optical fiber core wire is reduced, and disconnection of the optical fiber and deterioration of optical characteristics can be avoided.
However, in that case, the optical fiber core wire and the steel wire are in close contact, and the heat conductivity of the steel wire is high and the heat capacity is large, so the temperature of the optical fiber is strongly influenced by the temperature of the steel wire. . For this reason, the temperature of the optical fiber cannot follow the ambient temperature change, and a new problem arises that the responsiveness to the temperature change is significantly deteriorated.
In the following embodiments, an optical fiber cable having high resistance to bending stress and tensile stress and suitable for temperature measurement in a wide range, and a temperature distribution measurement system using the optical fiber cable will be described.

Fig.1 (a) is a schematic diagram which expands and shows a part of optical fiber cable which concerns on embodiment, FIG.1 (b) is sectional drawing by the II line | wire of Fig.1 (a).
As shown in FIG. 1A, an
As shown in FIG. 1B, the
The

FIG. 2A is a schematic diagram of the
As shown in FIG. 2A, the optical
As shown in FIG. 2B, when a bending stress is applied to the
Since the optical
As shown in FIG. 2C, when a tensile stress is applied to the
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a temperature distribution measurement system using the
The optical
The temperature
The
If the laying path of the optical fiber cable 10 (planar or laying path in three-dimensional space) is stored in the
As described above, in the
For this reason, the stress applied to the
Further, in the
Hereinafter, the detail of each part of the
(Tension member diameter)
If the diameter of the
(Tension member bending stress)
The
The minimum allowable bending radius of the
FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the relationship between the bending stress G of the
As can be seen from FIG. 4, when the bending stress G of the
On the other hand, when the bending stress G of the
For these reasons, the bending stress G of the
(Winding pitch of optical fiber core wire)
In the
When the
When the diameter of the
On the other hand, when the winding pitch L of the
Therefore, the winding pitch L of the
(Pitch of fixed part)
In the embodiment, the optical
On the other hand, if the interval between the fixing
That is, when the pitch Lf of the fixing
(The thermal conductivity of the peripheral surface of the tension member)
If the thermal conductivity of the peripheral surface of the
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing the results of examining the relationship between the thermal conductivity k of the peripheral surface of the
As can be seen from FIG. 5, when the thermal conductivity k of the peripheral surface of the tension member is 0.1 W / mK or less, the temperature deviation ΔT can be 1 ° C. or less. For this reason, it is preferable that the thermal conductivity of the peripheral surface of the tension member be 0.1 W / mK or less.
(Tension member material)
In the above-described embodiment, the tension member is made of silicone rubber, but ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM), chloroprene rubber (CR), styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), or the like can be used. Further, an olefin-based, styrene-based, urethane-based, ester-based, or vinyl chloride-based thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) can also be used.
Hereinafter, an experimental example in which the optical fiber cable according to the embodiment is actually manufactured and the temperature is measured will be described.
(Experimental example 1)
A multimode graded index type silica optical fiber (Furukawa Electric, HFR-2Z-1) was prepared as an optical fiber core. The diameter of this optical fiber core wire is 0.9 mm.
As a tension member, a silicone rubber wire having an outer diameter of 8 mm and an inner diameter of 6 mm was prepared. The bending stress of this tension member is 5 MPa.
Then, the optical fiber core wire is wound around the tension member so that the winding pitch is 10 m −1, and the adhesive (RVT KE-1862 made by Shin-Etsu Silicone) is applied in a dotted pattern every approximately 25 cm. Bonded to the tension member.
The optical fiber cable thus produced is stretched over 300 m in a 300 m 2 strawberry cultivation house, and the end of the optical fiber is connected to a temperature distribution measuring device (DTS ULTRA manufactured by SENSA). The temperature of the growth environment was measured.
The installation position of the optical fiber cable was adjusted according to the growth of the strawberry, but there was no breakage of the optical fiber core or deterioration of the optical characteristics.
Further, a part of the optical fiber cable was heated to give a step-like temperature change, and the response characteristics were examined. As a result, after 30 seconds, the difference between the actual temperature and the detected temperature was less than 1 ° C., and it was confirmed that sufficient response characteristics were provided.
(Experimental example 2)
A soft polyvinyl chloride wire having an outer diameter of 6 mm was prepared as a tension member. The bending stress of this tension member is 20 MPa.
An optical fiber core wire similar to Experimental Example 1 is wound around this tension member so that the winding pitch is 5 m −1, and the optical fiber core wire is applied to the tension member by an adhesive applied in a dot-like manner about every 50 cm. Glued.
The optical fiber temperature sensor thus produced was stretched over 500 m in a melon-grown greenhouse and used for temperature control for 6 months. During that time, there was no breakage of the optical fiber core or deterioration of the optical characteristics.
Further, a part of the optical fiber cable was heated to give a step-like temperature change, and the response characteristics were examined. As a result, after 30 seconds, the difference between the actual temperature and the detected temperature was less than 1 ° C., and it was confirmed that sufficient response characteristics were provided.
