Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a tape applicator for attaching an adhesive tape to an adherend.
In general, various tape applicators for applying an adhesive tape have been developed, and are used, for example, in a semiconductor masking tape application process. For example, as described in Patent Document 1 below, this type of tape applicator moves on the surface of an object to be applied while pulling out the adhesive tape, and an appropriate length of the adhesive tape is applied. Then, the root portion is cut by the built-in cutter, and the pasting is finished.
However, in the tape sticking device described in the above-mentioned conventional patent document 1, the pressure sensitive adhesive tape is held on the outer peripheral surface of the sticking roller 40 by vacuum suction so that the pressure sensitive adhesive tape is attached to the tip edge of the tape. There is a problem that it is easy to cause a positional shift depending on the suction mode, and as a result, it is difficult to increase the accuracy of the adhesive tape application position and application direction. In particular, when the vacuum suction force is weakened, the holding force of the adhesive tape is insufficient and the position is easily displaced due to external force. Conversely, when the vacuum suction force is increased, the holding position is easily displaced during suction. Also, when using a wide adhesive tape, or when the base material of the adhesive tape is highly extensible, the posture of holding the adhesive tape on the outer peripheral surface of the application roller by the vacuum suction force due to the twisting or stretching of the tape Since the holding position is more easily displaced, a problem occurs in the pasting accuracy.
On the other hand, as a method for solving the problems caused by the above vacuum suction, there is a tape applicator disclosed in
However, in the conventional tape application device described in
Therefore, the present invention solves the above-mentioned problems, and the problem is that in a tape applicator with a variable total length of application, the structure of the device is complicated, the device size is increased, and the application work time is increased due to the increase in the total application length. An object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus structure that can suppress an increase in the number of dots and a decrease in sticking accuracy.
In view of such circumstances, the tape applicator of the present invention is a tape applicator (10) for attaching an adhesive tape (T) to an adherend (L), and the adhesive tape is applied to the adherend. Affixing length setting means (11a) capable of setting a value for specifying the affixing length, a tape supply path (153 to 157) for guiding the adhesive tape in the drawing direction, and clamping and holding the adhesive tape A tape clamper (168), a tape application member (176) configured to be disposed at a separation position separated from the object to be applied, and a contact position for pressing the adhesive tape against the object to be applied; and the tape application A relative movement mechanism (12) for attaching the adhesive tape to the adherend by moving the pressing position of the adhesive tape by a member relative to the adherend; A tape cutter (168f, 168i, 168j) for cutting a tape portion between the clamp position and the pressing position, and clamps the adhesive tape when the tape application member is in the separated position. The tape drawing step of moving the tape clamper to move the clamping position of the adhesive tape from the drawing source side to the drawing destination side with respect to the tape applying member while drawing the adhesive tape along the tape supply path And the tape applying member is disposed at the contact position and presses the adhesive tape onto the object to be applied, and the tape clamper releases the adhesive tape on the drawing destination side from the pressing position of the tape applying member, Thereafter, the pressing position and the adherend are relatively moved by the relative movement mechanism, whereby the tip of the adhesive tape is Is attached to the adherend (first step), and further, the adhesive tape is pulled out along the tape supply path with a relative movement amount corresponding to the entire sticking length on the adherend. A tape application step of applying (second stage), and the tape clamper clamps the adhesive tape on the pulling source side of the pressing position, and the tape cutter is positioned on the pulling destination side of the pressing position. A tape cutting step of cutting the tape and separating the adhesive tape piece, and a tape proximal end attaching step in which the proximal end portion of the adhesive tape piece is further attached onto the adherend by the relative movement mechanism are sequentially performed. It is characterized by that.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the tape cutter is integrated with the tape clamper and performs a cutting operation in conjunction with the clamping operation of the adhesive tape on the drawing destination side from the clamp position of the tape clamper. According to this, the mechanism can be simplified by integrating the tape cutter with the tape clamper so that the cutting operation is interlocked with the clamping operation. In addition, the tape cutter can perform the cutting operation on the side of the drawing destination of the clamp position, so that the initial state where the leading edge of the adhesive tape is clamped when the cutting operation is completed can be realized. The pasting operation can be executed.
In this case, the tape clamper is opposed to the clamp member having one clamp surface, one head portion having a head frame that holds the clamp member movably in the clamping direction, and the one clamp surface. The other head portion having the other clamping surface, a spring member that urges the clamping member toward the other clamping surface with respect to the head frame, and the head frame facing the other clamping surface. The tape cutter has a cutting position adjacent to the other clamp surface on the drawing destination side, and protrudes from the one clamp surface in the clamp release state. If the clamp member is pushed into the head frame against the biasing force of the spring member in the clamp holding state, With a cutting edge projecting from the clamping surface of preferably has a fixed cutter blade to the head frame. According to this, when the head frame is driven toward the other clamping surface by the clamp driving mechanism, the adhesive tape can be clamped between one clamping surface and the other clamping surface, and one clamping surface is When pressed against the other clamp surface via the adhesive tape, the clamp member is pushed into the head frame while the spring member is compressed, so that the cutting edge of the cutter blade protrudes from the one clamp surface and the adhesive tape is cut. Therefore, the adhesive tape can be clamped only by driving the head frame, and the adhesive tape can be cut at a cutting position adjacent to the other clamp surface in this clamp holding state.
In this case, the other head portion further includes a slit provided to receive the cutter blade at a position adjacent to the drawing destination side with respect to the other clamping surface, and a drawing destination with respect to the slit. It is preferable to have a cutting support surface for supporting the adhesive tape provided at a position adjacent to the side. According to this, since the cutting support surface for supporting the adhesive tape is provided on the opposite side of the slit for receiving the cutter blade adjacent to the other clamping surface, the adhesive tape is supported on both sides of the cutting position, so that it is easy and reliable. Can cut adhesive tape.
In this case, it is preferable that the end edge of the one clamp surface on the drawing-out side and the end edge on the drawing-out side of the other clamp surface coincide with each other in the drawing direction. According to this, since the clamp surfaces on both sides of the adhesive tape are all adjacent to the cutting position, it can be cut more easily and reliably.
In addition, the one clamp surface and the other clamp surface are arranged to face each other in the vertical direction, the height of the clamp position in the clamp holding state is lower than the supply source of the adhesive tape, and the upper clamp surface is on the drawing source side It is preferable that the edge of this is arrange | positioned at the drawer | drawing-out origin side of a drawer | drawing-out direction rather than the edge of the drawer | drawing-out origin side of a lower clamp surface. According to this, since a large contact area between the adhesive tape and the upper clamping surface can be secured when the tape is pulled out, it is possible to suppress a decrease in the clamping force when the tape is pulled out, and when releasing the clamp, The contact area with the lower clamp surface can be reduced, and the adhesive tape is separated from the upper clamp surface on the pull-out side of the lower clamp surface, so that the leading edge of the adhesive tape can be easily removed when releasing the clamp. Can be separated.
According to the present invention, in a tape applicator with a variable length of application, the complexity of the device structure, an increase in the size of the device, an increase in application time due to an increase in the application length, and a decrease in application accuracy are suppressed. It is possible to achieve an excellent effect of being able to.
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. 1 to 3 are a front view, a right side view, and a left side view showing an outline of the overall configuration of the present embodiment. The

The
The
The
As shown in FIG. 6, when the
As shown in FIG. 4, the connecting
The
A

Here, the cutting operation of the adhesive tape T by the cutter blade 168f is performed in a state in which the adhesive tape T is supported by the clamp surfaces 168h and the cutting support surfaces 168i on both sides of the cutting position, and the
Since the stepped

In the
Next, with reference to FIG. 9 thru | or FIG. 13, operation | movement of the
First, the moving
As shown in FIG. 9A, the adhesive tape T is in an initial state where it is clamped between the
Next, the control unit operates the driving
Next, the control unit operates the
Here, as described above, the
In the process of moving the
Next, as a second stage of the tape application process, the control unit further moves the movable table 121 to the right in the figure in accordance with the value of the total application length L0 specified by the various setting values set as described above. . As a result, the pressing position of the
Eventually, as shown in FIG. 12A, the control unit stops the movable table 121 when the length from the initial pressing position to the current pressing position becomes L2. Since this length L2 is a length that changes in accordance with the total sticking length L0 specified by the set value, it is hereinafter referred to as an adjustment length L2. The adjustment length L2 is set such that the length L1 + L2 of the adhesive tape T on the adherend L is shorter than the total length L0 by a predetermined length (the length L3 of the tape base end described later). Is done. Then, the
At this time, the length L3 of the adhesive tape T from the pressing position by the
Finally, the moving
In the
In this embodiment, as described above, in order to stick the sticking tape piece T ′ having the sticking total length L0 on the adherend L, first, the adhesive tape T is used as the tape supply path for the length L1 of the tape tip. Next, in the <tape affixing process>, the length L1 portion of the tape leading end extracted in the <tape ablation process> as the first step is placed on the adherend L. As a second step, the pressing position of the tape applying member is moved by a relative movement mechanism, so that the portion corresponding to the adjustment length L2 of the adhesive tape T is pulled out along the tape supply path. Then, a further pasting operation is performed. Thereby, while suppressing the pull-out amount of the adhesive tape T in the <tape pulling-out step> (for example, setting it to the minimum necessary), the sticking full length L0 is set by the relative movement mechanism according to the set sticking full length L0. Since it is only necessary to apply a predetermined adjustment length L2 such that the adhesive tape T is drawn while pulling out the adhesive tape T, it is not necessary to perform a useless drawing operation or an extra installation state in the <tape drawing process> The adhesive tape T can be applied to the adherend L quickly and accurately. Moreover, since the change of the sticking total length L0 of the adhesive tape T can be dealt with by adjusting the adjustment length L2 by the relative movement mechanism, it is not necessary to change the moving amount of the tape clamper even if the sticking full length L0 changes. Therefore, the operation mechanism of each part is simplified, and the apparatus can be miniaturized.
In the present embodiment, the tape clamper that clamps the leading edge of the adhesive tape T moves from the drawing source side to the drawing destination side with respect to the tape application member to perform the <tape drawing step>, and then In the <tape applying step>, after releasing the front edge of the adhesive tape T, the adhesive tape T is clamped again by returning to the drawing origin side with respect to the tape applying member, and the clamping position and the pressing position of the tape applying member Since the <tape cutting step> of cutting the adhesive tape T with a tape cutter is performed between the tape and the tape, the sticking operation can be performed efficiently, and the tip of the adhesive tape T is delivered and the tip Since a separate clamper (terminal chuck) for holding the portion becomes unnecessary, the operation mechanism can be further simplified and downsized.
Furthermore, in this embodiment, by using the
Further, in the
