Abstract
Description
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention is a so-called back contact type solar cell module in which both a positive electrode and a negative electrode are arranged on a surface (back surface) opposite to a light receiving surface in a solar cell, and is used as a sealing material in a solar cell module. The present invention relates to an interlayer insulating material.
In recent years, photovoltaic power generation has been spreading as one of renewable energy. FIG. 1 shows an example of a conventional silicon solar cell module.
In the silicon
In the
Therefore, recently, a so-called back contact type solar cell module has been developed in which both the positive electrode and the negative electrode are arranged on the surface (back surface) opposite to the light receiving surface of the silicon substrate (see, for example, Patent Document 1). .
An example of a back contact solar cell module is schematically shown in FIG.

A plurality of
Here, the circuit pattern of the
In the back contact type solar cell module as described above, since there is no electrode that blocks incident light on the light receiving surface side, incident sunlight can be taken in on the entire surface of the silicon substrate, and thus high conversion is achieved. Efficiency can be obtained. Moreover, the electrical connection between adjacent cells (between electrodes) differs from the conventional general solar cell module as shown in FIG. 1 in that the circuit layer (conductive layer) is formed in a plane pattern on the surface of the back side substrate. Therefore, the risk of breakage of the electrical connection member due to the difference in thermal expansion is substantially eliminated. Therefore, as a solar cell module having high conversion efficiency and high durability, the demand for the back contact method is expected to increase further in the future.
In such a back contact type solar cell module, sealing between the back surface of the silicon substrate (the surface on which both electrodes are formed) and the insulating substrate having a circuit layer (patterned conductive layer) formed on the surface In addition, as an interlayer insulating material (back side sealing material) used for insulation, not only has high insulation properties, it is necessary to have good adhesion to the conductive layer of the circuit pattern, and the solar As a battery, it is desired that these performances be stably maintained for a long time.
Although there are various types of resins having high insulation and excellent adhesion, the present inventors have focused on ethylene-α olefin copolymers in view of flexibility and availability at a relatively low cost. Attempts have been made to use it as an interlayer insulating material (back side sealing material) of a contact type solar cell module.
A cross-linking agent, a silane coupling agent, a cross-linking aid, a light stabilizer, and an ultraviolet absorber can be added to the interlayer insulating material for the purpose of imparting long-term durability and adhesion to glass or a back sheet. . In particular, the crosslinking agent is important for crosslinking the resin and imparting heat resistance to the interlayer insulating material.
However, when the present inventors tried to use an ethylene-α olefin copolymer as an interlayer insulating material of a solar cell module, when taking out the interlayer insulating material from the packaged state and performing modularization work, Immediately after unpacking, the cross-linking property is not a problem, but it was found that the cross-linkability deteriorates with time and sufficient reliability cannot be maintained.
This is thought to be because the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer used as the interlayer insulating material has low polarity, so that the cross-linking agent is not well-adapted and bleeds out and volatilizes.
In general, it is assumed that several hours elapse from the unpacking of the interlayer insulating material to the modularization of the solar cell, and therefore it is desired to suppress the deterioration of the cross-linking characteristics over time.
The present invention is intended to solve the above-described problems of the prior art, and in a solar cell module using an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer as an interlayer insulating material, the reliability of the interlayer insulating material is less deteriorated over time. An object of the present invention is to provide a back contact solar cell module.
In order to solve the above problems, a solar battery module according to a basic aspect (first aspect) of the present invention includes a solar battery cell in which both positive and negative electrodes are formed on the back surface opposite to the light receiving surface. A back surface substrate on which a conductive layer is formed on the surface on the solar cell side, and an interlayer for sealing between the back surface side substrate and the solar cell. In a solar cell module of a back contact system comprising an insulating material and an electrical connecting member that penetrates the interlayer insulating material and electrically connects each of the electrodes and the conductive layer of the back side substrate,
The interlayer insulating material includes an ethylene-α olefin copolymer, an ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer, an organic peroxide, and at least the surface of the conductive layer of the back side substrate is made of either copper or nickel. It is configured.
Moreover, the solar cell module according to the second aspect of the present invention is the solar cell module according to the first aspect, wherein the interlayer insulating material has a methyl acrylate content of 1 mass% to 10 mass% and an organic peroxide content. The amount is 0.5% by mass or more and 2% by mass or less.
The interlayer insulating layer according to the third aspect of the present invention is an interlayer insulating material that seals between a back surface opposite to the light receiving surface of a solar battery cell and a back substrate on the back surface of the solar battery cell. Because
Including ethylene-α olefin copolymer, ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer, organic peroxide, methyl acrylate content of 1 mass% to 10 mass%, and organic peroxide content of 0.5 It is characterized by being not less than 2% by mass and not more than mass%.
In the solar cell module according to the aspect of the present invention, the conductive layer forming the circuit pattern of the back substrate has a structure in which a copper or nickel layer is formed with a predetermined thickness on the surface, and the back side sealing that is in contact with the copper or nickel layer. By using a back side sealing material consisting of ethylene-α olefin copolymer, ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer, and organic peroxide as a stopper (interlayer insulating material), the cross-linking characteristics over time can be reduced. Can be suppressed. Therefore, according to this invention, the solar cell module excellent in durability and a weather resistance can be provided.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the back contact solar cell module of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
The three-dimensional shape and structure of the back contact solar cell module according to the embodiment of the present invention may be the same as those already proposed (FIG. 2). Therefore, the three-dimensional shape and the structure of the solar cell module will be briefly described with reference to FIG.
In the back contact type

The
The density of the ethylene-α olefin copolymer used for the interlayer insulating material of the present embodiment is preferably 0.86 g / cm 3 or more and 0.90 g / cm 3 or less. If the density is 0.86 g / cm 3 or more, it is easy to suppress blocking of the back surface side sealing material. If the density is 0.90 g / cm 3 or less, the stability during processing increases. The density can be adjusted by changing the α-olefin content, polymerization temperature, catalyst amount, and the like. In addition, the measurement of the density of an ethylene / α-olefin copolymer conforms to JIS-K6922-2: 2010.
The difference between the melting point of the ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer used for the interlayer insulating material of this embodiment and the melting point of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer is preferably within 50 ° C, more preferably within 30 ° C. If the difference in melting point is larger than 50 ° C., dispersion of the resin during processing tends to vary.
The melt flow rate (MFR: 190 ° C., 21.18 N load) of the ethylene-α olefin copolymer and the ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer is preferably from 0.1 g / 10 min to 50 g / 10 min, Preferably they are 1 g / 10min or more and 35 g / 10min or less. If the MFR is less than 0.1 g / 10 min, the fluidity is too small and processing is difficult. On the other hand, if it is larger than 50 g / 10 minutes, it is difficult to form a sheet because the fluidity is too high.
The content of methyl acrylate contained in the interlayer insulating material is desirably 1% by mass or more and 10% by mass or less. When the methyl acrylate content is less than 1% by mass, the polarity of the interlayer insulating material becomes small, and it is difficult to prevent the bleed out of the additive, and when it exceeds 10% by mass, the flexibility is insufficient and cell cracking occurs. The modularity is low.
By adjusting the blending ratio of ethylene-α olefin copolymer and ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer and setting the methyl acrylate content in the above range, bleeding out of the cross-linking agent can be prevented, A high interlayer insulating material can be obtained.
In addition, although high transparency is calculated | required when used as a light reception side transparent sealing material, since an interlayer insulation material is located in the back side of a photovoltaic cell, it does not need to have high transparency.
The organic peroxide acts as a crosslinking agent in order to start a crosslinking reaction of the interlayer insulating material and to impart heat resistance. Examples of organic peroxides include 1,1-di (t-butylperoxy) cyclohexane, t-butylperoxy-2-ethylhexyl monocarbonate, 1,1-di (t-hexylperoxy) cyclohexane, and n-butyl. 4,4-di- (t-butylperoxy) valerate, t-butylperoxy-3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate, 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di (t-butylperoxy) Examples include hexane, t-butylcumyl peroxide, 2,2-di- (t-butylperoxy) butane. The addition amount of the organic peroxide is preferably 0.5% by mass or more and 2.0% by mass or less. If it is less than 0.5% by mass, the crosslinking may take a long time or the crosslinking density may be insufficient, resulting in difficulty in heat resistance. Moreover, when larger than 2.0 mass%, the problem of the foaming derived from an organic peroxide reaction residue and an unreacted substance may arise at the time of modularization.
In addition to the organic peroxide, the interlayer insulating material of the present embodiment may contain a crosslinking aid that promotes the crosslinking reaction. Examples of the crosslinking aid include triallyl isocyanurate, diallyl phthalate, triallyl cyanurate and the like.
The interlayer insulating material of this embodiment may contain a silane coupling agent. A silane coupling agent has the effect | action which improves the adhesiveness of an interlayer insulation material and the member of the surface and back surface. Examples of the silane coupling agent include γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, trimethoxypropylsilane, trimethoxymethylsilane, vinyltrimethoxysilane, vinyltriethoxysilane, trichloropropylsilane, triethoxyphenylsilane, and the like.
The interlayer insulating material of this embodiment may contain stabilizers such as an ultraviolet absorber, a light stabilizer, and an antioxidant from the viewpoint of light resistance and heat stability. Examples of ultraviolet absorbers used for improving light resistance include 2- (5-methyl-2-hydroxyphenyl) benzotriazole and 2- (3-t-butyl-5-methyl-2-hydroxyphenyl) -5. -Chlorobenzotriazole, 2- (4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl) -5-[(hexyl) oxy] -phenol, 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone, 2-hydroxy-4 -N-octyloxybenzophenone etc. are mentioned.

The thickness of the interlayer insulating material is not particularly limited, but is usually about 150 to 2000 μm. The interlayer insulating material can be produced by a known method using a T-die extruder, a calendar molding machine, or the like. For example, by dry blending various additives in advance to an ethylene-α olefin copolymer and ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer, supplying them from a hopper of a T-die extruder, heating and melting them, and then extruding them into sheets. Can be obtained. Moreover, in the said film forming process, it is good also considering the surface of the resin sheet of the heat-melted state as a rough surface in order to prevent blocking. For example, the concavo-convex pattern of the roll may be transferred to one or both surfaces of the resin sheet by being in close contact with a roll (made of metal or rubber) on which the concavo-convex pattern has been applied, and the encapsulant sheet may be embossed. .

The interlayer insulating materials obtained in the examples and comparative examples were measured by the following method.
(Suitable for modularization)
As a transparent substrate on the light incident side of the solar cell module, a 3 mm thick tempered glass plate for solar cells was prepared. In addition, a sheet having a thickness of 0.4 mm obtained by forming an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer into a sheet by extrusion processing was prepared as one corresponding to the light-receiving side transparent sealing material. Furthermore, the interlayer insulating materials obtained in the examples and comparative examples were used as equivalent to the interlayer insulating material (back side sealing material).
On the other hand, a back contact type back sheet was laminated as an equivalent to the conductive laminate, and the whole was joined by a vacuum laminator (150 ° C., 20 minutes).
In this modularization process, the case where cracks in the solar battery cells or bubbles remained in the sealing material was indicated as “X”, and the case where the module could be modularized without any problem was indicated as “◯”.
(Crosslink density)
The interlayer insulating material is peeled off from the solar cell module produced in each example, 1 g of which is immersed in 100 mL of xylene and melted at 110 ° C. for 12 hours, and then the mass of the non-molten component is measured. Was calculated to determine the crosslink density (unit:%).
(Formula 1) Crosslink density = [mass of non-molten component (g) / mass before melting (1 g)] × 100
Measurements were made in the sample "Initial" which was modularized immediately after unpacking the interlayer insulation material, and after the interlayer insulation material was unpacked, the interlayer insulation material was modularized after being stored for 48 hours at a temperature of 25 ° C and 65% RH (relative humidity). The sample “after 48 h” was conducted.
The criteria for determination of the encapsulant for solar cells obtained in this example and the comparative example were “◯” for those having a crosslinking density of 50% or more and “x” for those having a crosslinking density of less than 50%. . Regarding “after 48 h”, those having a retention rate of 75% or more of the initially measured crosslinking density were rated as “◯”, and those having a retention rate of less than 75% were marked as “X”.
The evaluation results of each example and each comparative example are shown in Table 1.
As is apparent from Table 1, an interlayer insulating material containing an ethylene-α olefin copolymer, an ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymer, and an organic peroxide is excellent in modularity and has a low deterioration with time in the crosslinking density.
