Description

The present invention relates to a peeling member that peels a sheet from various rollers installed in an electrophotographic apparatus such as a copying machine or a laser beam printer, and more particularly to a peeling member for a fixing member such as a fixing roller.

Various types of rollers are provided in electrophotographic apparatuses such as copying machines and laser beam printers for developing electrostatic latent images formed on photosensitive drums onto paper using a developer such as toner and then fixing them. It has been. Except for the photosensitive drum and the dry electrophotographic apparatus, the developing unit includes an oil application roller, and the fixing unit includes a fixing roller and a pressure roller. Conventionally, a photosensitive drum, a fixing roller, a pressure roller, and the like are provided with a separation claw to prevent a sheet from being wound around the roller and hindering smooth operation. The separation claw prevents the paper from being wound around the roller by scooping up the edge of the paper while sliding the tip of the separation claw on the outer peripheral surface of the roller. The width of the contact portion of the separation claw with the roller is about 1 to 10 mm, and 4 to 16 pieces are arranged for one roller. Since the separation claw is in local contact with the roller, the roller is inevitably partially worn and a good image cannot be obtained. Also, since the paper is locally contacted with the paper, it is easy to scrape off the developer transferred to the paper, and the paper that is scraped off may adhere to the separation claw and the paper may be easily soiled. .

For such a problem, as a peeling member capable of line contact with a roller of an electrophotographic apparatus, a peeling sheet made of a thin metal plate that peels paper from the roller is joined to a metal support member by laser spot welding. A peeling member has been proposed (see Patent Document 1). This release member can be in line contact with the roller by a release sheet, and can prevent local wear of the roller.

In addition, as a peeling device that prevents the surface of the fixing roller and the like from being scratched and prevents secondary transfer failure, etc., a peeling guide member having a structure with a predetermined radius of curvature at the tip that is brought close to the fixing roller, and this Has been proposed (see Patent Document 2).

特開2002−91222号公報JP 2002-91222 A 特開2003−122171号公報JP 2003-122171 A

The peeling guide member of Patent Document 2 is an injection-molded body of synthetic resin, and the tip portion thereof is provided with a plurality of reinforcing ribs on the front surface side and the back surface side so that the thickness decreases toward the fixing roller. It is formed in a taper shape. By adopting a structure in which a rib is provided at the front end portion of the peeling guide member and reinforced, the front end portion is prevented from being deformed, linearity is ensured, and the fixing roller surface is brought close to the fixing roller surface with high accuracy. In addition, a plurality of vertical and horizontal positioning portions are integrally provided, and these portions are positioned and fixed to the support member. However, in this peeling guide member, the above-described tip portion and positioning portion have a complicated structure, and it is difficult to reduce the size of the peeling device, which greatly restricts the degree of freedom in design layout. In addition, it is difficult to cope with further downsizing of the electrophotographic apparatus.

On the other hand, the peeling member of Patent Document 1 is a structure that supports the precision of the leading edge of the release sheet by supporting the release sheet, which is a thin plate, by a support member that is a metal base plate. And miniaturization is possible. Moreover, since the support member and the release sheet are joined by laser spot welding, the joining force is thermally stabilized as compared with the case where the release sheet and the support member are joined by an adhesive. For this reason, generation | occurrence | production of the corrugation phenomenon of this peeling sheet can be suppressed, using the peeling sheet which is a thin plate. Note that the undulation phenomenon refers to a phenomenon in which the release sheet and the support member are partially peeled to cause undulations in the release sheet and the paper cannot be smoothly peeled off.

However, in order to weld the release sheet to the support member by laser spot welding, equipment such as a laser irradiation device and a dedicated jig is required, which increases the manufacturing cost. In addition, depending on the material of the release sheet and the support member, it is difficult to weld with sufficient bonding strength, and the undulation phenomenon may not be suppressed.

The present invention has been made to cope with such a problem, and in a release member composed of a release sheet and a support member thereof, the release sheet and the support member can be fixed uniformly and inexpensively, and the release sheet An object of the present invention is to provide a peeling member that can suppress the undulation phenomenon and can exhibit excellent paper peeling performance.

The peeling member of the present invention is a peeling member that peels a sheet from a roller of an electrophotographic apparatus, and has a peeling sheet that contacts or approaches a tip portion of the roller, and a support member that supports the peeling sheet, The leading end portion of the release sheet is an end portion on one long side of the release sheet, and at least one of the release sheet and the support member has an engagement portion with the other, and the engagement portions are respectively A plurality of the separation sheets are provided apart from each other in the longitudinal direction, and the leading end portion of the release sheet is fixed to the support member by geometric engagement by the engagement portion.

Here, “close” means that one side of the release sheet is arranged close to the roller to such an extent that the paper can be prevented from being wound around the roller. The rollers of the electrophotographic apparatus are, for example, a photosensitive drum, a fixing roller (including a belt roll), a pressure roller, and the like.

The engaging portions are spaced apart at an interval of 1/10 or less of the width in the longitudinal direction.

The engaging portion is a hooking claw provided so as to protrude on the side opposite to the sheet passing surface of the release sheet, and the tip portion of the release sheet hooks the hooking claw to a part of the support member. And is fixed to the support member. The support member has a plate-like portion, and the release sheet is fixed in a state where the plate-like portion is sandwiched between the anti-paper passing surface and the hooking claw and overlapped with the plate-like portion. It is characterized by that.

The release sheet has a stepped portion A that is recessed from the sheet passing surface, the support member has a stepped portion B that fits the stepped portion A, and the stepped portion A and the stepped portion B are fastening members. The step A is characterized in that the fastening member has a shape recessed at a height that does not protrude from the sheet passing surface.

The release sheet is formed by adhering a non-adhesive resin film to at least the paper passing surface of the tip portion via a silicone-based adhesive, and the non-adhesive resin film is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin, tetrafluoro At least one fluororesin selected from ethylene-perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer (PFA) resin, tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer (FEP) resin, and tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer (ETFE) resin It is a film.

The release member of the present invention includes a release sheet that brings a tip portion (one long side end) into contact with or close to a roller of an electrophotographic apparatus, and a support member that supports the release sheet. At least one of the support members has an engaging portion with the other, and a plurality of the engaging portions are provided apart from each other in the longitudinal direction, and the tip of the release sheet is shaped by the engaging portion. Since it is fixed to the support member by simple engagement, a dedicated jig such as laser welding or a laser generator is not required, and the peeling member can be manufactured at low cost. In addition, as with laser welded products, it is thermally stable, and there is no variation in bonding force due to parts such as partial peeling when using an adhesive. Can be fixed stably. For this reason, it is possible to exhibit excellent paper peeling performance, for example, the paper can be peeled smoothly by suppressing the wavy phenomenon of the release sheet.

Moreover, since the said engaging part is spaced apart and arrange | positioned at the space | interval of 1/10 or less of the width of the longitudinal direction of each member, the front-end | tip part of a peeling sheet can be fixed to a support member more stably.

Further, the engaging portion is a hooking claw provided so as to protrude toward the sheet passing surface side of the release sheet, and the tip of the release sheet hooks the hooking claw to a part of the support member to support the member. Therefore, the sheet passing surface of the release sheet can maintain a flat surface with no protrusions, and can prevent deterioration of the sheet peeling performance. In this configuration, the support member further has a plate-like portion, and the release sheet is fixed in a state where the plate-like portion is sandwiched between the anti-sheet passing surface and the hooking claw and overlapped with the plate-like portion. The plate-like portion of the support member and the release sheet are fixed in close contact with each other with the flat portions being overlapped, and the horizontal accuracy of the tip portion of the release sheet can be maintained high.

In addition, the release sheet has a non-adhesive resin film affixed to at least the paper-passing surface of the release sheet via a silicone-based adhesive, so it can be firmly bonded to the release sheet and maintains the adhesive effect even at the fixing temperature. And high temperature durability. Moreover, the cushion effect by an adhesive can also be expected. Furthermore, since this non-adhesive resin film is at least one fluororesin film selected from PTFE resin, PFA resin, FEP resin, and ETFE resin, the effect of preventing adhesion of toner is very high and low friction with the paper. Excellent characteristics.

The bending part 2d can ensure the rigidity required when the non-adhesive resin film 4 is stuck. The release sheet 2 in FIG. 3 uses a single metal thin plate that is thinner than the support member 3, is bent to form a bent portion 2d, and a hooking claw 2a and a stepped portion 2b are formed by pressing.

The hooking claw 2a is cut into a substantially square shape in a part of the sheet surface, leaving the side on the front end portion 2e side, and the piece is bent substantially perpendicularly to the non-sheet passing surface side, and is further horizontally formed with the sheet. It has a key shape that is bent substantially perpendicularly on the downstream side in the paper passing direction. The leading end 2 e of the release sheet 2 is fixed to the support member 3 by fitting and engaging the hooking claws 2 a with the end 3 e of the plate-like portion 3 a of the support member 3.

The shape of the hooking claw as the engaging portion is not particularly limited as long as it is a shape that can be engaged with (hangable with) a part of the support member, and has a substantially triangular shape with a structure close to that shown in FIG. It can be a key shape or any complementary fitting shape including the support member side. Moreover, it is not necessary that all the engaging portions have the same shape, and the size and shape may be changed as appropriate. Furthermore, the engagement part in the present invention may be provided on at least one of the release sheet and the support member, and is not limited to that shown in FIG. Good. By making the engaging portion a structure that does not protrude at least on the sheet passing surface side of the release sheet, it is possible to prevent a decrease in paper release performance.

A plurality of hooking claws 2a which are engaging portions are provided apart from each other in the longitudinal direction. In FIGS. 2 and 3, the hooking claws 2a are provided at a constant distance from the end 2f of the tip 2e, that is, parallel to the end 2f. The number of the hooking claws 2a is preferably as large as possible in consideration of mechanical strength. The interval between the hooking claws 2a is preferably as narrow as possible in consideration of mechanical strength. Provide a plurality of hooking claws 2a that are engaging portions along the longitudinal direction and parallel to the end 2f, and further increase the number of hooking claws 2a by narrowing the interval between the hooking claws 2a. Thus, the front end portion 2 e of the release sheet 2 is stably fixed by the support member 3. In addition, in order to maintain the rigidity of the tip portion 2e, it is preferable that the longitudinal width of the hooking claws 2a is smaller than the interval between the hooking claws adjacent in the following longitudinal direction.

As an interval between the hooking claws 2a adjacent in the longitudinal direction, it is preferable that all the hooking claws 2a have the same shape and have an interval of 1/10 or less of the width in the longitudinal direction of the release sheet. For example, when the longitudinal width of the release sheet is 300 mm, the interval is set to 30 mm or less. Moreover, it is preferable that each interval is an equal interval. The lower limit of the interval is preferably 1/30 or more of the width in the longitudinal direction of the release sheet in consideration of press accuracy and mechanical strength when a metal thin plate is used. In addition, the space | interval here means the distance between the longitudinal directions of the center position (center position in the longitudinal direction of a peeling sheet) of a hook nail | claw.

The release sheet 2 has a contact width L that is substantially the same length as the axial length of the roller (see FIG. 2). Since the contact width is large, the contact pressure per unit area to the roller is reduced, and local wear on the roller surface can be prevented. The length substantially the same as the length of the roller in the axial direction refers to a length to the extent that the above effect can be obtained. Specifically, the length is at least about half of the length in the axial direction of the roller. Same or slightly longer.

Moreover, it is preferable to make the thickness direction of the terminal 2f of the front-end | tip part 2e of the peeling sheet 2 into a curved surface without an edge. By making the thickness direction of the end portion a curved surface, the surface of the fixing member is not damaged even when a pressure contact state higher than a constant pressure is applied to the fixing roller or the like. The curved surface may be machined after processing a release sheet made of a thin metal plate into a predetermined shape, but it is desirable to process by a press cut that can be pressure-formed simultaneously with cutting.

The release sheet is preferably coated with a lubricating coating or a non-adhesive resin film so that the paper peeling performance is improved at least on the paper passing surface of the tip. In particular, it is preferable to apply a non-adhesive resin film because of excellent paper peeling performance and high temperature durability. In the example shown in FIG. 3, the non-adhesive resin film 4 is stuck from the paper passing surface to the anti-paper passing surface so as to cover the front end portion 2 e of the release sheet 2. In FIG. 3, the non-adhesive resin film 4 covers the hooking claw 2a and is attached to the range up to the front of the step portion 2b. The release sheet 2 is fixed to the support member 3 in a state where the non-adhesive resin film 4 is previously attached.

A fixing structure between the release sheet and the support member will be described with reference to FIG. 3 (the bottom view) and FIG. 4A is a cross-sectional view (end view) of the bolt part of the peeling member, and FIG. 4B is a cross-sectional view (end view) of the hooking claw part of the peeling member. As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4B, the hooking claw 2 a of the release sheet 2 is fitted and fitted into the end 3 e of the plate-like portion 3 a of the support member 3. 3 and 4A, the step 2b of the release sheet 2 is fitted into the step 3b of the support member 3, and is fastened with bolts 5 through both holes (2c and 3c). . Thus, the release sheet 2 is fixed to the support member 3 in a state where the plate-like portion 3a is sandwiched between the anti-sheet passing surface and the hooking claw 2a and is overlapped with the plate-like portion 3a. In addition, as shown in each figure, the front-end | tip part 2e of the peeling sheet 2 protrudes from the support member 3, and the whole is partly fixed.

In the peeling member 1, the front end portion 2 e of the peeling sheet 2 is used as a support member by a hooking claw 2 a that is an engaging portion while the peeling sheet 2 is firmly fixed to the support member 3 as a whole by bolt fastening. The horizontal accuracy of the leading edge of the release sheet that is fixed and greatly affects the release performance is maintained high. For this reason, the excellent paper peeling performance can be exhibited. Further, even when an arbitrary material described later is used as the release sheet or the support member, stable fixation is possible.

The material and thickness of the release sheet will be described in detail.
As the material of the release sheet, iron, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, or the like can be used when the above-described metal thin plate is used. In particular, stainless steel is preferable because it does not rust, is easy to process, and is inexpensive. By using a thin metal plate, it is easy to ensure high rigidity. Further, the engaging portion and the stepped portion can be easily formed by pressing or drawing.

The thickness of the release sheet is preferably in the range of 50 μm to 500 μm. If it is less than 50 μm, the peeling force may not be ensured, and there is a risk of deformation during jamming. If the thickness exceeds 500 μm, the paper to be peeled may hit the leading edge of the sheet and cause jamming. A more preferable thickness of the release sheet is 100 μm to 400 μm.

As a material for the support member, iron, aluminum, copper, stainless steel and the like can be used in the same manner as the release sheet when the above-described thick metal plate is used. Stainless steel is preferred for the same reason as the release sheet. Further, the thickness of the thick metal plate constituting the support member is preferably 800 μm or more in order to sufficiently secure the attachment strength for attaching the release sheet.

When the release sheet and the support member are made of metal plates, it is preferable to use metal plates cut out so that the longitudinal direction is perpendicular to the rolling direction of the metal plate. Thereby, the deformation | transformation at the time of use of each metal plate can be prevented.

Moreover, it is good also considering a peeling sheet and a supporting member as a resin molding. Examples of the resin include liquid crystal resins (LCP) such as aromatic polyester resins, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resins, polyether ether ketone (PEEK) resins, polyacetal (POM) resins, crystalline resins such as polyamide (PA) resins, or Amorphous resins such as polyetherimide (PEI) resin, polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) resin, polyethersulfone (PES) resin, polyphenylene ether (PPE) resin, and polyamideimide (PAI) resin can be used. By using a resin molded body, it is possible to easily form an engagement portion having a complicated shape by injection molding or the like. The thickness and shape of each member can be the same as in the case of a metal plate.

For the release sheet and the support member, it is preferable to use materials having the same average linear expansion coefficient in the operating temperature range (room temperature to 200 ° C.). Since the leading end portion of the release sheet is fixed by geometric engagement (fitting) by the engaging portion, there is a possibility that displacement due to expansion or the like may occur under high temperature conditions in the fixing portion. This can be suppressed by matching the linear expansion coefficients of the release sheet and the support member as much as possible. Preferably, the same material is used for the release sheet and the support member.

The non-adhesive resin film to be attached to the release sheet will be described in detail.
The non-adhesive resin film is a resin film having non-adhesive properties to the extent that adhesion of the developer can be prevented, and specifically refers to a resin film having a contact angle with pure water of 80 degrees or more. In addition, the contact angle in this invention is a room temperature 23-26 degreeC, humidity 50-60% of atmosphere, dripping 5 microliters of pure waters on the resin film surface, and the contact angle after 1 second of dripping is a goniometer type measuring device. It is the value measured using (Elma Optical company make: contact angle measuring device G-1). As resin films having a contact angle with pure water of 80 degrees or more, polyethylene resin film (81 degrees), polypropylene resin film (91 degrees), PTFE resin (115 degrees), PFA resin (109 degrees), FEP resin (114 degrees), ETFE resin (96 degrees), polychlorotrifluoroethylene resin (84 degrees), chlorotrifluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer resin (85 degrees), polyvinylidene fluoride resin (82 °), polyvinyl fluoride A film made of a known fluororesin such as a ride resin (80 degrees) can be used.

In particular, a fluororesin film made of PTFE resin, PFA resin, FEP resin, or ETFE resin has a contact angle of 96 degrees or more, and is excellent in non-adhesiveness to color toner (such as toner using a polyester binder resin). In addition, it has sufficient heat resistance.

As the fluororesin film, a fluororesin 100% or main component film (sheet) can be used such as a skive product from billet, paste extrusion, melt extrusion, or the like. In order not to reduce the non-adhesiveness to the toner, the fluororesin film is preferably a natural material that does not contain a compounding material. If the non-adhesive property for the toner can be ensured, the non-adhesive resin film is formed from a non-adhesive resin blended with fine carbon powder such as ketjen black or acetylene black, thereby removing the paper due to static electricity. It is also possible to prevent a decrease in performance.

The thickness of the non-adhesive resin film such as a fluororesin is preferably in the range of 10 μm to 200 μm, and more preferably in the range of 40 μm to 80 μm. If the thickness is less than 10 μm, there is a risk of tearing due to friction with the developer, or there is a risk of the release sheet being exposed due to slight wear. Moreover, it becomes easy to become a wrinkle in the sticking process to a peeling sheet, and handling becomes difficult. When the thickness exceeds 200 μm, the paper peeling performance deteriorates.

The application of the non-adhesive resin film to the release sheet is preferably performed by interposing an adhesive, particularly a silicone adhesive, on the application surface. For example, a non-adhesive resin film in which a silicone-based adhesive is previously attached to the surface to be attached to the release sheet is used. By interposing the silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, it can be firmly bonded to the release sheet and can maintain the bonding effect even at the fixing temperature, and a cushioning effect by the pressure-sensitive adhesive can also be expected. In addition, in order to enhance the adhesion effect, it is desirable to perform surface treatments such as corona discharge treatment, sputter etching treatment, plasma etching treatment, TOS treatment with metallic sodium, and ultraviolet irradiation treatment on the surface to be attached to the release sheet.

Examples of the silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive include pressure-sensitive adhesives obtained by condensing a copolymer composed of SiO 2 units and (CH 3 ) 3 SiO units and diorganopolysiloxane raw rubber. By using this silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, the non-tacky resin film can be firmly bonded to the release sheet, and the adhesive effect can be maintained even at a fixing temperature (for example, 200 ° C. or higher). Further, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can be made thin, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer does not increase the thickness of the peeling member so as to impair the peeling function. The thickness of the silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive layer may be in the range of 5 μm to 50 μm. If the thickness is less than 5 μm, sufficient adhesion effect cannot be obtained. On the other hand, if the thickness is greater than 50 μm, the thickness of the peeling member becomes relatively large, and the paper peeling performance may be deteriorated.

In addition, the non-adhesive resin film can be attached to the release sheet without interposing an adhesive. For example, the surface of the release sheet made of a metal thin plate is roughened by plasma etching or the like, and then a non-adhesive resin film is heat-pressed.

[Example 1]
A thin metal plate made of stainless steel (SUS304CSP) having a thickness of 200 μm was cut into a contact width (L) length of 310 mm and a width of 25 mm, and the inner width of 5 mm and the length of 310 mm were bent at a right angle. Recessed stepped portions were provided at seven locations on the bent metal thin plate so that the head of the bolt did not completely protrude from the 20 mm wide surface of the thin metal plate, and bolt holes were formed on the bottom surface of the recessed stepped portion. A thin metal plate serving as a release sheet having 16 hook-like hooking claws provided at intervals of 20 mm at a position of 5 mm from the opposite cut surface was prepared. The burrs generated on the cut surface of the release sheet were carefully removed, and the corners that would be in contact with the roller were rounded to a radius of curvature of about R0.01 mm to R0.03 mm.

A fluororesin film was attached to the tip of the release sheet. As the fluororesin film, a PTFE resin film having a thickness of 50 μm (Bearly FL3090 manufactured by NTN Precision Resin Co., Ltd.) was prepared, and an etching process was performed in which the surface to be attached to the metal thin plate was immersed in an ammonia solution of metal sodium. A silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive solution containing dimethylpolysiloxane raw rubber (KR101 manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) was uniformly applied to the etched surface of this fluororesin film and dried by heating at 120 to 200 ° C. Thereafter, it was naturally cooled to room temperature to form a silicone adhesive layer having a thickness of about 30 μm.

Lay the fluororesin film on the smooth plate so that it does not become wrinkled with the surface having the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer facing up, and then thoroughly degrease the chamfered release sheet with petroleum benzine, then in the center of the fluororesin film A roller contact portion with rounded corners was placed. The film was pasted on the surface of the release sheet with this roller contact portion as a boundary. In this way, a release sheet was obtained in which a fluororesin film was bonded to the roller contact portion and the back surface via a silicone-based adhesive. The total thickness of the release sheet is 230 μm.

Next, the same stainless steel material as the metal thin plate having a thickness of 1 mm was cut into a length of 310 mm and a width of 35 mm, and the inner width of 10 mm and the length of 310 mm were bent at a right angle. Next, on the bent side, burring and tapping were performed at the same positions as the seven holes provided in the metal thin plate to produce a support member. A hooking claw of a release sheet was fitted into this support member and fixed with a bolt to obtain a release member having the shape shown in FIG.

This peeling member is set in a fixing portion of a test copying machine (fixing temperature 190 ° C., A4 copying speed 57 sheets / min), a line chart with an image ratio of 30% is used as a document, and A4 plain paper is used to print 5000 sheets. The copying test by continuous paper passing was performed up to 30000 sheets. The test machine was stopped every 5000 sheets and the presence or absence of image degradation was confirmed by visual observation of the copied paper. Further, the peeling member was removed from the fixing portion, and the wear of the fluororesin film, the presence or absence of toner adhesion, and the wear state of the fixing roller were confirmed.

As a result of the test, the image of the peeling member of Example 1 was not lowered until the end of the 30000 sheet passing test, and the fluororesin film confirmed after the end of the sheet passing test was not damaged. Further, no toner adhered to the release sheet portion, and further no wear of the fixing roller was observed.

[Comparative Example 1]
In the release sheet used in Example 1, the hook member is not formed and the support member used in Example 1 is mutually bonded with RTV-KE1800ABC manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., which is a silicone rubber adhesive. The same evaluation test as in Example 1 was performed. As a result of the test, the entire bonded portion of the release sheet was peeled off.
