Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an ammonia gas generation inhibitor and an ammonia gas generation suppression method that suppress the generation of ammonia gas from industrial waste, general waste, sludge incineration residue, and the like.
If waste contains a lot of plastic and nitrogen compounds, nitrides are generated after incineration, and reacts with water to generate ammonia gas. Ammonia gas is also generated from human waste and livestock excrement.
As a prior document disclosing a method for suppressing generation of ammonia gas, for example, there is a “methane fermentation method and apparatus” of

According to the ammonia gas generation inhibitor according to the present invention, it is possible to effectively suppress ammonia gas generation with respect to the ammonia gas generation source, and it is possible to maintain the ammonia gas generation suppression effect for a long period of time. That is, the ammonia gas generation inhibitor according to the present invention provides an ammonia gas generation inhibitory effect excellent in immediate effect and sustainability. There is no problem of heavy metal elution.
The ammonia gas generation inhibitor according to one embodiment of the present invention is any one of water-soluble magnesium salt, calcium salt, manganese salt, nickel salt, cobalt salt, ferrous salt, zinc salt and copper salt. Or a mixture of two or more of these.
The ammonia gas generation suppression method according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that the ammonia gas generation inhibitor is brought into contact with an ammonia gas generation source in a solid state or a state dissolved in water. Is.
The meaning of “contact” is as follows.
When the ammonia gas generation inhibitor is brought into contact with the ammonia gas generation source in a solid state, this includes adding the ammonia gas generation inhibitor to the ammonia gas generation source.
When the ammonia gas generation inhibitor is dissolved in water and brought into contact with the ammonia gas generation source, an aqueous solution of the ammonia gas generation inhibitor is sprayed onto the ammonia gas generation source, and the ammonia gas generation is generated in the aqueous solution. Includes diving sources.
Since the ammonia gas generation inhibitor of the present embodiment has high solubility in water, uniformity and handling properties can be improved by spraying and mixing as a high-concentration aqueous solution.
As a specific mode for submerging the ammonia gas generation source in the aqueous solution, for example, an mode in which an ammonia gas generation source such as incineration ash is placed on a belt conveyor installed in the aqueous solution storage tank and continuously in contact with the aqueous solution. Can be considered. In this way, uniform contact between the ammonia gas generation source and the aqueous solution is possible in a simple and short time.
In addition, since water-soluble magnesium salt and calcium salt are neutral to weakly acidic as well as high-concentration aqueous solutions, there is no problem of acid corrosion in equipment used for mixing and spraying.
As the ammonia gas generation source, industrial waste, general waste, sludge incineration residue, ash, various production facilities such as manure in poultry farms and pig farms, human waste, sludge, and raw garbage can be considered.
The mechanism by which the ammonia gas generation inhibitor according to the present embodiment exerts the effect of suppressing ammonia gas generation will be described.
Table 1 shows the reaction formula when water-soluble magnesium salt, calcium salt, manganese salt, nickel salt, cobalt salt, ferrous salt, zinc salt, and copper salt are added in the presence of ammonia and water. Table 1 lists the reaction formula, the generated hydroxide, the solubility product of the generated hydroxide, the hydrated ion, and the acid dissociation constant pKa.
The reason why the water-soluble salt exhibits the effect of suppressing the generation of ammonia gas is that ammonia gas becomes ammonia ions as the reaction proceeds to the right side in the reaction formula of Table 1. It can be said that the smaller the solubility product of the hydroxide generated by the reaction, the higher the effect of generating ammonia gas because the reaction tends to proceed to the right. However, if the solubility product of the hydroxide is too small, the effect of suppressing the generation of ammonia gas is high at the beginning when the water-soluble salt is added, but the effect of suppressing the ammonia gas generated thereafter cannot be exhibited. Since ammonia gas is generated by the reaction of nitride with water, in the case of waste or the like in which nitride exists, an effect of suppressing generation of ammonia gas over a long period is required. Therefore, from this point of view, it is necessary that the solubility product is not too small. Thus, in order to have immediate effect and sustainability for ammonia gas generation suppression, it is necessary that the solubility product of hydroxide is not too large and not too small.
Further, the smaller the acid dissociation constant, which is an index that quantitatively represents the strength of the acid, the higher the acidity of the hydroxide.
Various sources of ammonium gas can be considered as described above. However, industrial waste and incineration ash from garbage often contain heavy metals, so the amount of elution of heavy metals increases when acidified. There are concerns.
Therefore, when the acid dissociation constant is small, there is a risk of elution of heavy metals, which means that the amount of water-soluble salt added cannot be increased. Conversely, when the acid dissociation constant is large, the degree of alkalinity is high and there is no danger of elution of heavy metals, meaning that there is no problem even if the amount of water-soluble salt added is large.
Based on the above, each water-soluble salt shown in Table 1 will be described.
As shown in the first row of Table 1, magnesium ions produce magnesium hydroxide and ammonium ions in the presence of ammonia and water. Since the solubility product of magnesium hydroxide is relatively small and hardly soluble, the reaction proceeds to the right and the generation of ammonia gas is suppressed in an environment where magnesium ions and ammonia gas exist.
However, the solubility product of magnesium hydroxide is not too small, it dissolves to some extent, and magnesium ions continue to exist over a long period of time, so it also exerts an inhibitory effect on ammonia gas generated after the addition of magnesium salt it can.
Thus, it can be said that the magnesium salt has a high ammonia gas generation suppressing effect over a long period of time.
Further, since the acid dissociation constant is 11.4 and the degree of alkalinity is high, there is no problem of elution of heavy metals even if the addition amount is large. Therefore, it is not necessary to consider the added amount so that the added amount does not become excessive, and handling is easy.
As shown in the second row of Table 1, calcium ions exhibit the same reaction as magnesium ions, and produce calcium hydroxide and ammonium ions. Since calcium hydroxide has a higher solubility product than magnesium hydroxide, the effect of suppressing the generation of ammonia gas is slightly weak, but since the acid dissociation constant is large, there is an advantage that the pH is hardly lowered even if added excessively.
As shown in the third and subsequent rows of Table 1, manganese ions, nickel ions, ferrous ions, zinc ions, cobalt ions, and copper ions also show similar reactions. As shown in the top to bottom rows of Table 1, the solubility product becomes smaller, and the ammonia gas suppressing effect at the beginning of addition is higher. On the other hand, when the solubility product is small, the effect of suppressing ammonia gas over a long period of time becomes small. However, according to the knowledge of the inventors, even in the case of a copper salt that produces copper hydroxide having the smallest solubility product in Table 1, it is long. It is confirmed that it can withstand the use of the period.
Moreover, since the acid dissociation constant becomes so small that it describes in the row | line from the top to the bottom of Table 1, acidity becomes strong and it may become acidic by excessive addition.
Judging from the above comprehensive judgment, among the water-soluble salts, the magnesium salt is most preferable, and then the calcium salt, the manganese salt, the nickel salt, and the ferrous salt are preferable.
In addition, as a kind of water-soluble salt, although chloride, a sulfate, or a nitrate is preferable, it is not limited to this.
As a comparative example with the above, an aluminum salt and a ferric salt were also examined, but the acid dissociation constant of aluminum hydroxide was 5, and the acid dissociation constant of ferric hydroxide was 2.2. There is a concern that the pH will be lowered by adding a small amount of aluminum salt and ferric salt, and that heavy metals will be eluted.
In addition, the solubility product of aluminum hydroxide is 5 × 10 −33 and the solubility product of ferric hydroxide is 2.5 × 10 −39 , which is too small to be suitable for suppressing ammonia gas generation for a long time. Absent.
On the other hand, a water-soluble salt such as a strontium salt or a barium salt has a too high solubility product, so that the ammonia gas generation suppressing effect is low. In addition, titanium salt, zirconium salt, chromium salt, cobalt salt, platinum salt, silver salt, gold salt, lead salt, tin salt, gallium salt, etc. can be expected to suppress ammonia gas by the same reaction, but the cost is high. Moreover, it is hard to use from an environmental viewpoint.
Table 1 shows the reaction formula of each water-soluble salt as a single substance. However, when two or more water-soluble salts are mixed and added in the presence of ammonia and water, each reaction is inhibited. However, since the same reaction occurs, two or more kinds of water-soluble salts may be mixed and used. When it is necessary to adjust to a predetermined pH, it can be easily prepared by mixing two or more water-soluble salts.
Since the experiment for confirming the effect of the ammonia gas generation inhibitor of the present invention was conducted, the result will be described below.
Add 0-7% of magnesium chloride hexahydrate crystals to the ash that generates ammonia gas of 400ppm or more in the initial stage, and put it in a sealed container. Immediately put the Kitagawa ammonia detector tube into the ash, The gap gas was sucked to measure the ammonia gas concentration.
A part of the treated ash was collected, 10 parts by weight of water was added, stirred at 200 rpm for 1 hour, and filtered through a 1 μm filter to obtain an eluate. The dissolved magnesium ion concentration and pH of this eluate were measured.
After collecting a portion of the treated ash, seal the container and leave it at room temperature in a state where ammonia gas does not evaporate. After 1 day and 3 days, the ammonia gas concentration and dissolved magnesium ion concentration of the eluate are the same as immediately after mixing. The pH was measured.

The horizontal axis shows the dissolved magnesium amount (kg) per kg of raw ash. The axis indicates the ammonia gas concentration (ppm).
It can be seen from the graph of FIG. 3 that when the amount of soluble magnesium is 300 mg or more, that is, 0.3% or more with respect to the raw ash weight, the ammonia gas generation concentration can be suppressed to 50 ppm or less.

The difference in performance due to the mixing method of magnesium chloride was investigated.
As a mixing method, comparison is made between mixing solid (crystalline) magnesium chloride hexahydrate with raw ash and spraying and mixing 95% magnesium chloride solution by dissolving magnesium chloride in water. did. Further, the ammonia gas concentration was measured in the same manner as in Example 1 with respect to the pH of the eluate immediately after mixing, after 1 day, and after 3 days.
The survey results are shown in Table 2. Table 1 also shows the case where magnesium chloride was not added.

About pH, all are between 9-10 (8.9-10.0), and there is no problem of heavy metal elution.

FIG. 4 shows the relationship between the pH of the eluate and the amount (%) of magnesium chloride hexahydrate crystals added. In addition, Table 4 shows the results of investigation on the elution amount of the second type heavy metal.
As shown in FIG. 4, even when the amount of magnesium chloride hexahydrate crystals added is 20%, the pH value is around 9, which is weakly alkaline.
For this reason, as shown in Table 4, the elution of the second kind heavy metal is not observed.
From the above, even if magnesium chloride is added excessively, there is no problem of heavy metal elution, and when magnesium chloride is used as an ammonia suppressor, it can be handled without the complexity of paying close attention to the amount added. It is easy and safe.
[Comparative Example 1]
Each of the methods disclosed in
The experiment was conducted by adding 5% magnesium chloride hexahydrate crystals and 1.1% dipotassium hydrogen phosphate powder to the raw ash, mixing ammonia gas concentration, elution pH, magnesium ion from just after mixing to 3 days later. It is to measure the concentration.
The addition ratio of magnesium chloride and dipotassium hydrogen phosphate is approximately 1: 1 as Mg and PO 4 . This is because poorly soluble magnesium ammonium phosphate called MAP produced from magnesium and phosphoric acid, ammonia or ammonium is produced in an equimolar ratio.
The experimental results are shown in Table 5.
As shown in Table 5, the ammonia gas concentration was reduced to zero immediately after the addition, but ammonia gas was generated again by curing for 1 day and 3 days.
Moreover, when the magnesium ion concentration of the eluate was measured, it was high immediately after mixing, but was low after one day. This is thought to be because the magnesium ion present immediately after the addition reacted with the phosphate to form a poorly soluble magnesium phosphate, thereby reducing the soluble magnesium concentration. Thus, when a magnesium salt and a phosphate are used in combination, a sparingly soluble magnesium phosphate salt is produced over time, so that it is difficult to suppress the generation of ammonia gas in the long term.
From this, it can be seen that the present invention using a magnesium salt alone is more effective in suppressing the generation of ammonia gas.
[Comparative Example 2]
Since the invention disclosed in
In the experiment, 5 or 10% of aluminum chloride hexahydrate was added to the raw ash, and immediately after mixing, the ammonia gas concentration and the pH of the eluate were measured one day later. Separately, the Environmental Agency Notification No. 13 dissolution test was also conducted. The experimental results are shown in Tables 6 and 7.
As shown in Table 6, the amount of ammonia gas generated can be suppressed by adding aluminum chloride. However, as shown in Table 6, the pH of the eluate is lowered to the acidic region. For this reason, as shown in Table 7, lead and selenium exceeded the second dissolution standard in the dissolution test of the Environmental Agency Notification No.13.
On the other hand, as shown in Tables 2 and 3, the ammonia gas generation inhibitor of the present invention provides an ammonia gas suppression effect, and the pH value of the eluate is alkaline. Does not occur.
