Claims (24)
- 眼内レンズであって、
焦点距離を画定すると共に同一焦点距離の球面IOLよりも多くの高次収差(HOA)を眼に付与するよう構成された単焦点レンズ本体、
を具備する眼内レンズ。 - 請求項1に記載の眼内レンズにおいて、
前記レンズ本体が、光学中心と、外縁と、前記光学中心から前記外縁と前記光学中心との間の半径まで延在する第1の領域と、前記第1の領域から半径方向外向きに延在する第2の領域とを画定し、
前記第2の領域が、前記レンズ本体と前記眼とにより画定される光学系内で低光量条件において生じ得る長手方向のHOAを低減するよう構成されている眼内レンズ。 - 前記レンズ本体が、前記光学系内に、前記第1の領域の少なくとも一部の範囲内ではNRDが増加するにつれて傾きが増加し、かつ第2の領域の少なくとも一部の範囲内ではNRDが増加しても傾きが増加しない高次収差−正規化された半径距離比(HOA−NRD比)プロファイルを生成する、請求項2に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記HOA−NRDプロファイルは、前記第1の領域の全範囲内でNRDが増加するにつれて傾きが増加する、請求項3に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記HOA−NRDプロファイルは、前記第2の領域の実質的に大部分の範囲内でNRDが増加するにつれて傾きが減少する、請求項3に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記第1の領域および前記第2の領域が、前記HOA−NRDプロファイルの変曲点により分離される、請求項3に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記変曲点が、0.4NRDから0.8NRDの間にある、請求項3に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記HOAが、球面収差と、トレフォイル収差と、コマ収差と、から成る群の中から選択される、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記HOAが球面収差である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記レンズ本体が、入射瞳が6mmのとき眼に0.4マイクロメートルの球面収差を付与し、かつ入射瞳が4mmのとき眼に0.1マイクロメートルの球面収差を付与する20ディオプターの単焦点非球面レンズ本体を具備する、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 眼に単焦点光学素子を追加することにより眼に高次収差(HOA)を付与して眼の焦点深度を改善するステップ、
を含む方法。 - 前記HOAが、球面収差と、トレフォイル収差と、コマ収差と、から成る群の中から選択される、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記単焦点光学素子が、前記眼に球面収差を付与する単焦点非球面IOLを具備する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記単焦点非球面のIOLが、入射瞳が6mmのとき眼に0.4マイクロメートルの球面収差を付与し、かつ入射瞳が4mmのとき眼に0.1マイクロメートルの球面収差を付与する20ディオプターの単焦点非球面IOLである、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法であって、
前記眼が、第1の眼を含み、
前記方法が、単焦点非球面IOLを挿入することにより第2の眼の前記球面収差を矯正するステップ、をさらに含む方法。 - 前記非球面IOLにより前記第2の眼の色収差を矯正するステップをさらに含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 請求項11に記載の方法であって、
前記単焦点光学素子が、光学中心と、外縁と、前記光学中心から前記外縁と前記光学中心との間の半径まで延在する第1の領域と、前記第1の領域から半径方向外向きに延在する第2の領域とを画定し、
前記第2の領域が、前記単焦点光学素子と前記眼とにより画定される光学系内で低光量条件において生じる長手方向のHOAを低減するよう構成されている方法。 - 請求項17に記載の方法であって、
前記単焦点光学素子が、単焦点非球面IOLを具備し、
前記HOAが、球面収差を含み、
前記長手方向HOAが、長手方向の球面収差を含む方法。 - 前記単焦点光学素子が、前記光学系内に、前記第1の領域の少なくとも一部の範囲内ではNRDが増加するにつれて傾きが増加し、かつ前記第2の領域の少なくとも一部の範囲内ではNRDが増加しても傾きが増加しない高次収差−正規化された半径距離比(HOA−NRD比)プロファイルを生成する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 請求項19に記載の方法であって、
前記単焦点光学素子が、単焦点非球面IOLを具備し、
前記HOAが、球面収差を含む方法。 - HOA−NRDプロファイルは、前記第1の領域の全範囲内で、NRDが増加するにつれて傾きが増加する、請求項19に記載の方法。
- HOA−NRDプロファイルは、前記第2の領域の実質的に大部分の範囲内で、NRDが増加するにつれて傾きが増加する、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の領域および前記第2の領域が、HOA−NRDプロファイルの変曲点により分離される、請求項19に記載の方法。
