Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a ceramic electronic component including, for example, a multilayer ceramic capacitor.
In recent years, miniaturization and high functionality of electronic devices are rapidly progressing, and miniaturization is also required for multilayer ceramic capacitors mounted on electronic devices. For example, in the case of a multilayer ceramic capacitor, a capacitor having a high capacitance that can be substituted for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor has been commercialized due to the progress of thinning technology and multilayering technology.
As shown in FIG. 9, the multilayer
In such a multilayer
As a countermeasure, a pair of
However, when a plating film is formed on the surface of the
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, a main object of the present invention is to provide a ceramic electronic component that contributes to suppression of vibration noise based on vibration of a mounting board accompanying mechanical strain in an electronic component body of the ceramic electronic component.

The ceramic electronic component according to the present invention covers a ceramic body having two main surfaces facing each other, two end surfaces facing each other, and two side surfaces facing each other, and an end surface of the ceramic body. A ceramic electronic component having an electronic component body having an external electrode formed, and a metal terminal connected to the external electrode by solder for terminal bonding, wherein the metal terminal is a surface of the terminal body and the terminal body A terminal joint located on the end face, an extension extending in the mounting surface direction from the terminal joint, and a mounting part extending in the direction connecting the end faces from the extension. The ceramic electronic component is characterized in that the surface of the terminal body is exposed on the peripheral surface of the mounting portion.
In the ceramic electronic component according to the present invention, the surface of the terminal body is preferably exposed on the peripheral surface of the extension.
In the ceramic electronic component according to the present invention, the surface of the terminal body is preferably exposed on the peripheral surface of the terminal joint.
Furthermore, in the ceramic electronic component according to the present invention, it is preferable that the metal terminal has an L shape.
According to the ceramic electronic component according to the present invention, since the surface of the terminal body is exposed on the peripheral surface of the mounting portion of the metal terminal, when mounting the ceramic electronic component on the mounting board with the mounting solder, the mounting solder Since it is possible to suppress the wetting of the solder to the metal terminal, it is possible to suppress the solder for mounting from getting wet in the floating part between the electronic component body and the metal terminal, and for mounting to the floating part. It is possible to prevent the solder from being filled. Therefore, since the space of the floating portion can be sufficiently secured, the transmission of vibration to the mounting substrate can be suppressed without hindering the elastic deformation of the metal terminal, and the machine in the electronic component body of the ceramic electronic component Generation of vibration noise based on vibration of the mounting board due to mechanical distortion can be suppressed.
Also, if the surface of the terminal body is exposed on the peripheral surface of the extension of the metal terminal, it is possible to suppress the wetting of the mounting solder to the metal terminal, so the electronic component body and the metal terminal It is possible to further suppress the mounting solder from getting wet in the floating portion between the two.
Furthermore, if the surface of the terminal body is exposed even on the peripheral surface of the terminal joint in the metal terminal, it is possible to further suppress the solder from mounting solder to the metal terminal. It is possible to further suppress the mounting solder from getting wet in the floating portion between the terminals.
Furthermore, when the shape of the metal terminal is L-shaped, when the ceramic electronic component is mounted on the mounting substrate, a ceramic electronic component with improved resistance to deflection of the mounting substrate can be obtained.

The pair of

In addition, when the ceramic

(Method for manufacturing ceramic electronic components)
Next, an embodiment of a method for producing a ceramic electronic component having the above configuration will be described by taking the ceramic
First, the ceramic green sheet, the internal electrode conductive paste for forming the first and second
Then, for example, the internal electrode conductive paste is printed in a predetermined pattern on the ceramic green sheet, and the internal electrode pattern is formed on the ceramic green sheet. The internal electrode conductive paste can be printed by a known method such as a screen printing method.
Next, a predetermined number of outer layer ceramic green sheets on which the internal electrode pattern is not printed are laminated, on which ceramic green sheets on which the internal electrode pattern is printed are sequentially laminated, and on the outer layer ceramic green sheets A predetermined number of sheets are laminated to produce a mother laminate. If necessary, this mother laminate may be pressure-bonded in the laminating direction by means such as isostatic pressing.
Thereafter, the mother laminate is cut into a predetermined shape and a raw ceramic laminate is cut out. At this time, the corners and ridges of the laminate may be rounded by barrel polishing or the like. Subsequently, the cut-out raw ceramic laminate is fired to produce a ceramic body that is a laminate. The firing temperature of the raw ceramic laminate depends on the ceramic material and the internal electrode conductive paste material, but is preferably 900 ° C. or higher and 1300 ° C. or lower.
Next, a conductive paste for external electrodes is applied to both end faces of the fired ceramic body by, for example, a dip method, and baked to form the base layers 38a and 38b of the first and second
Then, the attachment process of the metal terminal in the manufacturing method of the ceramic electronic component concerning this invention is demonstrated.

Table 1 shows the measurement results obtained by averaging five data of each sample of Example, Comparative Example 1 and Comparative Example 2.
