Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing a solid spheroidizing agent, and more particularly to a method capable of easily and advantageously producing a solid spheroidizing agent having a desired size.
Conventionally, a spheroidal graphite cast iron obtained by adding a spheroidizing agent containing a graphite spheroidizing element such as Mg, Ca, Si, RE (rare earth element) to a molten cast iron and spheroidizing the graphite in the molten metal Since it is excellent in properties such as strength and toughness, it has been widely used as a cast iron pipe, automobile engine, undercarriage material and the like. Also, when producing such spheroidal graphite cast iron, a technique called a pouring method or a sandwich method is usually employed, and a spheroidizing agent of a predetermined size in a solid granular form is placed at the bottom of the pan. In such a state, by pouring the molten cast iron, the reaction between the spheroidizing agent and the molten cast iron proceeds, and the graphite in the molten cast iron is spheroidized with the spheroidizing element in the spheroidizing agent. It has become.
And when spheroidizing graphite by such a pouring method or sandwich method, as seen in Patent Documents 1 and 2 and Non-Patent Document 1 as a spheroidizing agent, solid particles of a predetermined size (size) In general, for example, a plate-like ingot made of a graphite spheroidizing additive alloy such as a Fe-Si-Mg alloy, a Ni-Mg alloy, or a Cu-Mg alloy is crushed. Provided in the market, for example, those having a size of about 2 mm to 30 mm have been used (see Non-Patent Document 2, etc.).
By the way, the spheroidized product of such a spheroidizing agent is generally a spheroidizing agent plate (ingot) formed by pouring molten metal of a spheroidizing agent (graphite spheroidizing additive alloy) into an ingot case. Although it is manufactured by crushing to the target size using a crushing device, a lot of fine powder is generated especially when crushing using a machine. For example, a finer size smaller than 2 mm is generated. Granules are generated as much as 5% or more. For this reason, even when such fine-grained powder is discarded or re-dissolved, costs are incurred, which is a major factor in increasing costs. Specifically, if the fine powder having a size smaller than 2 mm is re-dissolved, the degree of oxidation increases, and the yield of unoxidized Mg in the spheroidizing agent deteriorates. In the spheroidizing agent that recycles the fine-grained powder, there is a problem that the quality is inferior because the oxide is increased during the re-dissolution.
Here, the present invention has been made in the background of such circumstances, and the problem to be solved is to use a conventional machine for a thick plate-like ingot made of a graphite spheroidizing additive alloy. To provide a method capable of easily and inexpensively producing spheroidizing agent solid particles of a desired size without using a large crushing process, while avoiding contamination of fine powder as much as possible. is there.
And, in the present invention, in order to solve such problems, a method for producing a solid material of a predetermined size of a spheroidizing agent containing a graphite spheroidizing element that spheroidizes graphite in a cast iron melt, (A) a melt forming step of melting a raw material that provides a spheroidizing agent containing the graphite spheroidizing element to form a molten spheroidizing agent; and (b) a molten product of the spheroidizing agent formed into a plate-like product. While the molten metal is poured into a molding cavity of a mold that can mold the mold, the inner surface of the molding cavity is provided with a large number of regions corresponding to a predetermined size of the solid material. By forming a split groove having a predetermined depth on at least one surface of the plate-shaped product formed by solidification of the poured spheroidizing agent melt, the dividing ribs are divided into The size of the solid matter defined by the groove A molding step for obtaining a solid spheroidizing agent plate product having a surface on which a number of correspondingly divided areas are formed; and (c) external force or impact on the obtained spheronizing agent plate product. And a separation step of dividing the spheroidizing agent plate product at the split groove forming site and separating the spheroidizing agent plate products into individual divided pieces, thereby obtaining a spheroidizing agent solid having a desired size. The gist of the method for producing a spheroidizing agent solid is characterized by the following.
According to one of the preferred embodiments of the method for producing a spheroidizing agent solid according to the present invention, the mold is composed of an upper mold and a lower mold, and the upper mold and the lower mold are combined. The molding cavity is formed between the surfaces, and the protrusions are provided on the inner surface of at least one of the upper mold and the lower mold.
According to another preferred embodiment of the method for producing a solid spheroidizing agent according to the present invention, the molten spheroidizing agent is poured into a recess provided in the lower mold and forming the molding cavity. Thereafter, the upper mold is overlaid and pressurized between the upper mold and the lower mold, whereby the molten spheroidizing agent is accommodated between the upper mold and the lower mold in a predetermined thickness. The molding cavity is formed and solidified.
Furthermore, according to another preferred embodiment of the method for producing a spheroidizing agent solid according to the present invention, the plurality of protrusions are arranged so as to intersect each other, and the inner surface of the molding cavity is It is divided into a large number of areas having a size corresponding to the predetermined size of the solid matter.
Furthermore, in the method for producing a spheroidizing agent solid according to the present invention, the plurality of ridges are formed on the inner surface of the molding cavity at irregular intervals, so that the solid spheronizing agent plate-like product is formed. By forming a plurality of the split grooves corresponding to the plurality of protrusions at irregular intervals on the surface, the size of the divided regions partitioned by the split grooves is changed, A configuration in which different sizes of solids are formed can also be advantageously employed.
And in this invention, the split groove of the predetermined depth formed so that it may mutually cross | intersect at least one surface of the plate-shaped product formed by solidification of a spheroidizing agent molten metal is made into a V-shaped groove shape. Therefore, it is possible to easily and advantageously divide at such a split groove formation site without applying a large force to such a plate-like product, and as a solid having a desired size. Can be obtained.
Thus, in the present invention, a split groove having a predetermined depth is formed in a predetermined pattern on at least one surface of a plate-like product obtained by molding from a molten spheroidizing agent. The plate-shaped product can be obtained by applying a slight force to the plate-shaped product of such a spheroidizing agent, since the surface is formed by a large number of divided regions of a predetermined size divided by Therefore, it is easily divided at the part where the dividing groove is formed, and can be separated into individual divided pieces each having a size corresponding to each divided region. Since the solids of the agent can be advantageously obtained, it is not necessary to employ a large ingot crushing process using a conventional machine, which greatly simplifies the manufacturing process and significantly increases the manufacturing cost. Reduction It became the current possible.
Moreover, according to the present invention, the solid material of the desired size of the spheroidizing agent is not crushed by a machine, but by dividing the spheroidizing agent plate-like product (ingot) at its split groove forming site, From the point that it can be manufactured, many fine powders are not generated as in the case of crushing by conventional machines, and this allows the disposal of fine powders generated during the production of the spheroidizing agent and The problem of redissolving has been solved.
Further, in the present invention, the molten spheroidizing agent is formed in a molding cavity formed between the upper and lower molds of the molding die, and the spheroidizing agent solid of the desired size is formed. When producing a plate-like product that gives a spheroidizing agent contained in such a molding cavity, the structure is effectively densified by allowing a predetermined pressing force to act on the molten spheroidizing agent, Segregation of important graphite spheroidizing elements such as Mg and RE is effectively improved, and the distribution of these elements is more uniform. The yield can be improved, and the advantage that the spheroidization reaction becomes gentle can be enjoyed.
Hereinafter, in order to clarify the present invention more specifically, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
First, FIG. 1 schematically shows an example of a mold used in the method for producing a spheroidizing agent solid according to the present invention. In this case, the
Further, as is apparent from FIG. 2, on the flat molding cavity
By the way, as a spheroidizing agent containing a graphite spheroidizing element that spheroidizes graphite in a cast iron melt, usually a graphite spheroidizing element such as Mg, Si, Ca, RE (rare earth element) or misch metal, Fe, A graphite spheroidizing additive alloy in the form of Fe-Si-Mg alloy, Ni-Mg alloy, Cu-Mg alloy, etc., formed by alloying with Ni, Cu, etc. is used, and a solid matter of a predetermined size ( In the present invention, in order to produce such a spheroidizing agent, the same raw material that gives such a spheroidizing agent is used to melt it. By doing so, a predetermined graphite spheroidizing alloy melt is formed as a spheroidizing agent melt.
And in this invention, when manufacturing the plate-shaped product of predetermined thickness as an ingot for spheroidizing agent manufacture similar to the past using this formed spheroidizing agent melt, the figure mentioned above. 1 is used, in which a predetermined amount of molten spheroidizing agent is poured into the
As a result of the casting operation of the spheroidizing agent melt 24 using such a
Further, the plate-
The separation of the
In this way, by separating the plate-
In the present embodiment, the
The exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, but these are merely examples, and the present invention is not limited in any way by specific descriptions according to such embodiments. It should be understood that this is not to be interpreted.
For example, in the plate-
In addition, as shown in FIG. 7, by changing the interval of the
Further, even in the shape of the divided
The size of the divided regions (34, 44, 54, etc.) formed by the dividing grooves (32, 42, 52, etc.) of these various patterns, and the divided pieces (36, etc.), is made spherical as in the past. In the same size as the agent, it will be selected as appropriate, but generally a plate-like product (30, 40, 50, etc.) with a thickness of about 15 to 25 mm is used with a size of about 15 to 25 mm. For example, in the case of a
In the illustrated embodiment, the
Further, the protrusion for forming the split groove according to the present invention is formed in a predetermined region of the inner surface of the molding cavity of the molding die, and in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the
That is, in FIG. 8, a
Furthermore, in FIG. 9, the formation position of the
In addition, in the present invention, in addition to the
Specifically, the
