Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electrode substrate for a touch panel, a touch panel using the same, and an image display device using the touch panel. In particular, the present invention relates to an electrode substrate for a touch panel and a touch panel that can achieve both sufficient electric resistance and sufficient transparency even when the screen size is increased, and an image display apparatus using the touch panel.
In recent years, use of a touch panel (also referred to as a touch screen or a touch screen) in which an image device and a position input device are combined has been actively used. Various types of position input devices such as a matrix switch method, an electric resistance film method, a surface acoustic wave method, an infrared method, an electromagnetic induction method, and a capacitance method have been put into practical use. In particular, the touch panel combined with the projected capacitive position input device, which is one of the electrostatic capacity methods, is capable of multi-touch (multi-point simultaneous input), and can be operated intuitively with the fingertips. It has been widely used in mobile phones and mobile terminals due to its excellent performance.
In the projection type capacitive touch panel, a touch panel electrode substrate is required in which a plurality of detection electrode patterns having two layers running in the vertical and horizontal directions are arranged on a transparent insulating substrate such as glass or plastic.
Furthermore, since the electrode substrate for touch panels is installed between the display device and the observer, transparency is required.
特許文献1には、透視性を有する検知電極として、ITO(Indium Tin Oxide)やIZO(Indium Zinc Oxide)などの透明導電膜を利用したタッチパネル用電極基板が記載されている。
Therefore, instead of the transparent conductive film such as the ITO thin film, the transparent
However, in the mesh-
Further, the mesh pattern of the mesh-
The present invention has been made in view of such a situation, and has both a low electric resistance sufficient as a projected capacitive touch panel and a sufficient transparency (aperture ratio), and is attributable to the detection electrode. It is an object of the present invention to realize an electrode substrate for a touch panel in which shading-like unevenness is difficult to see, a touch panel using the same, and an image display device using the touch panel.
In view of the above situation, earnest research and development has proceeded, and claim 1 of the present invention is formed of transparent

In addition, according to a second aspect of the present invention, in the touch

ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, sufficient low electrical resistance is obtained as a projection type capacitive touch panel electrode, and sufficient transparency (aperture ratio) is obtained.
In other words, the electrical resistance can be kept low by using a bulk metal instead of a transparent conductive film having a high electrical resistance value. Furthermore, when an alternating current, particularly a high-frequency current, is applied as compared with the
Further, compared to the mesh-
Furthermore, since the adjacent conductor thin wire portions vibrate with an amplitude that does not contact each other, the detectable area per detection electrode composed of the conductor thin wire portions becomes wide, and a transparent electrode or mesh-like detection electrode A detectable area similar to the case of 12 can be secured.

The “planar shape” means a shape in a plane parallel to the “sheet surface”. In other words, the “planar shape” means a shape viewed from the direction of the normal line set up on the “sheet surface” (Z (axis) direction in FIG. 1).

Therefore, for example, “plate” is a concept including a member that can also be called a film or a sheet.
例えば、図1に於いて、表面検知電極2s(以下、単に検知電極2sとも呼称する)を構成する表面導電体細線部14s(以下、単に導電体細線部14sとも呼称する)は、X方向に走行している。

Y=a・sin(b・x)

(1) A material having a small refractive index anisotropy. Specifically, a material having an in-plane retardation value Re of 100 nm or less, preferably 30 nm or less is used. An example of such a material is a film made of triacetyl cellulose and having a thickness of about 40 to 120 μm.
(2) As disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 3947950, Japanese Patent No. 4888853 and the like, the in-plane retardation value Re is sufficiently larger than that of a normal biaxially stretched polyethylene terephthalate sheet, specifically, Re A polyester resin sheet such as a polyethylene terephthalate sheet stretched at a high stretch ratio (about 3 to 7 times) of ≧ 3000 nm, more preferably Re ≧ 8000 nm. Here, the in-plane retardation value Re is defined as Re = (nx−ny) × d from the phase axis direction refractive index nx, phase advance axis direction refractive index ny, and thickness d in the sheet surface of the resin sheet.

If the
The conductor
When the back
Further, the line width Wx of the front surface conductor
The line width Wx of the front surface conductor thin wire portion and the line width Wy of the back surface conductor thin wire portion being constant are not limited to the form in which the wire width of the conductor thin wire portion is strictly the same line width over the entire traveling direction. In addition, line width distribution (variation) within a range that does not cause defects in appearance and functions of the touch panel is allowed. Usually, a line width distribution within ± 20% of the average line width is allowed. In the present invention, the line widths (Wx, Wy) of the conductor thin wire portions (14s, 14r) are measured at 20 different points in the conductor thin wire portion running direction and defined as twice the standard deviation of the measured values.
Ax+Wx<Dx/2
Ay+Wy<Dy/2
The amplitude within a range in which the two adjacent conductor
Ax + Wx <Dx / 2
Ay + Wy <Dy / 2
It is also possible to rephrase that satisfies the above condition. If the above conditions are satisfied, even if the adjacent conductor
The conductor
By forming the
Furthermore, when compared with the mesh-
In addition, when compared with the mesh-

FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 illustrate one specific example of a specific detection electrode shape in which the conductor
In FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, the surface conductor
The pitches Dx and Dy are set in consideration of what is assumed to be touched and the resolution to be detected. When it is assumed that a finger is touched, at least one detection electrode (2s, 2r) is applied to the contact surface of the finger in the X direction and the Y direction, respectively. In this case, if the pitch (Dx, Dy) of the detection electrodes is about 3 mm to 10 mm, the operation is easy. When touching with a small area such as a touch pen, the resolution that can be detected can be improved by setting the pitch (Dx, Dy) of the conductor thin wire portions (14s, 14r) small in this case. One detection electrode (2s, 2r) includes at least one conductor thin wire portion (14s, 14r). In the example of FIG. 1, one detection electrode is composed of a plurality of conductor thin wire portions.
The line width (Wx, Wy) of the conductor thin wire portions (14s, 14r) is determined by detecting the touch position in consideration of the electrical resistivity and film thickness of the material of the
The amplitude (Ax, Ay) of the conductor thin wire portion may be designed in consideration of the resolution to be sensed and the resistance value of the
In addition, in embodiment shown in FIGS. 1-5, although the detection electrode which consists of a conductor thin wire | line part is the form formed in both surfaces of the transparent insulating

Among them, the acrylate ionizing radiation curable resin is a kind of preferred resin because it cures quickly and is excellent in the strength of the

The basic configuration of the capacitive touch panel 20 has been described above. In addition to the components described above, a protective layer made of a connector, a protective glass plate, a resin coating film, or the like provided according to product specifications is publicly known. The member may be included.

[Addition of coloring filter]
The touch panel according to the present invention preferably includes the color filter as a constituent layer in order to make the flicker less noticeable when the image has a fine flicker when the touch panel is installed on the display surface side of the display panel.
[Addition of anti-reflection treatment]
The antireflection treatment can be applied to the image observer side surface, the display panel side surface, or both the image observer side surface and the display panel side surface of the touch panel having the touch
(1) An antireflection layer comprising a single layer of a low refractive index layer or a multilayer structure in which a low refractive index layer and a high refractive index layer are alternately laminated so that the low refractive index layer is positioned at the uppermost layer. Silicon oxide, magnesium fluoride, fluorine-containing resin or the like is used for the low refractive index layer, and titanium oxide, zinc sulfide, zirconium oxide, niobium oxide or the like is used for the high refractive index layer. Here, the high (low) refractive index layer is relatively higher in refractive index of the layer than the layer adjacent to the layer (for example, the transparent insulating
(2) A process of roughening the outermost surface on which light is incident in order to scatter or diffuse extraneous light. For this roughening treatment, a method of forming a rough surface directly on the surface of the substrate by sandblasting or embossing or the like; and roughening the surface of the substrate with a resin binder that is cured by radiation or heat, or a combination thereof, Examples include a method of providing a roughened layer with a coating film containing inorganic particles such as silica or organic particles such as resin particles as light diffusing particles; and a method of forming a porous film with a sea-island structure on the surface of the substrate. be able to. As the resin of the resin binder, a thermosetting or ionizing radiation curable acrylic resin, polyester resin, epoxy resin, urethane resin, or the like is preferably used because the surface strength is desired as the surface layer.
(3) As disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 4406553, Japanese Patent No. 4265729, Japanese Patent No. 4632589, and the like, the surface includes a group of minute protrusions arranged so that the distance between adjacent protrusions is less than the shortest wavelength in the visible light wavelength band. Processing to form a micro uneven structure. The microprotrusions are shaped so that the cross-sectional area at a virtual cut surface perpendicular to the thickness direction decreases as it goes to the outside (adjacent air side). Such a fine concavo-convex structure continuously changes the refractive index of the surface portion with respect to incident light in the thickness direction from the refractive index of the material constituting the microprotrusions toward the refractive index of the external medium (usually air). To function. This can reduce light reflection caused by the refractive index discontinuity at the interface between the object and the external medium.
