Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a microchannel, a method for manufacturing the microchannel, and an optical analyzer including the microchannel.
Conventionally, optical analysis is generally used for optical measurement of each fluid chemical sample or liquid sample. For example, a plurality of containers for fluid samples and optical means for guiding light beams through the containers are arranged on an analysis device for light detection such as a chemical sample having a rotating disk-shaped body. An optical analyzer is known in which at least a part of the optical means is arranged such that at least a part of the light beam is deflected at an angle with respect to the radially outward direction on the disk-shaped body and guided through the container. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).
However, the optical analyzer has a complicated structure and is not easy to manufacture. Separately from the above optical analyzer, a silicon plate is processed to produce a microchannel with a 45-degree mirror on which a metal film is formed, and light is irradiated to the specimen filled in the microchannel. Optical analyzers that perform analysis are also being studied. However, also in this case, the structure is complicated in that a metal film is formed on the inclined portion, and the manufacture is not easy.
This invention is made | formed in view of the above, and makes it a subject to provide the microchannel etc. of a simple structure.

Light that is transmitted through a part of the light is converted in a direction to be incident on the optical waveguide part, and the refractive index of the base in a part through which light incident from the outside of the base is transmitted is filled in the optical path conversion part. It is a requirement that the refractive index of the material is larger than the refractive index.

[Structure of the optical analyzer according to the first embodiment]
First, the structure of the optical analyzer according to the first embodiment will be described. 1A and 1B are diagrams illustrating an optical analyzer according to the first embodiment. FIG. 1A is a cross-sectional view, and FIG. 1B is a plan view. 1A shows a cross section along the line AA in FIG. 1B, and FIG. 1B shows only the microchannel portion. FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged view of FIG.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the

In the present embodiment, an example is shown in which borosilicate glass is used as the material of the

The planar shapes of the inlets /
The
An
Note that the
On the
On the
When the
For example, when the inclination angle of the
The
発光素子40としては、例えば、VCSEL(Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting LASER:垂直共振器面発光レーザ)やその他の半導体レーザ、発光ダイオード等を用いることができる。
The
The
Here, functions of the optical
The total reflection is a phenomenon in which light is not transmitted through the boundary surface between the medium A and the medium B but is reflected when light is about to enter the medium B having a small refractive index from the medium A having a large refractive index. Say. As is well known as Snell's law, the critical angle (the maximum incident angle at which refraction occurs) is determined by the refractive index. When light is incident on the medium B (refractive index N 2 ) from the medium A (refractive index N 1 ), assuming that N 1 > N 2 , the critical angle is θm, and the incident angle from the medium A to the medium B is θb, θm = Sin −1 (N 2 / N 1 ), and θb> θm is a condition where total reflection occurs.
In the case of FIG. 1, PDMS which is the material of the
The light incident on the
The incident light on the
Next, a method for analyzing a subject by the
Next, the
At this time, since the subject is introduced into the
[Method for Manufacturing Optical Analysis Device According to First Embodiment]
Next, regarding the method for manufacturing the optical analyzer according to the first embodiment, particularly the manufacturing process of the microchannel portion will be described. 3 and 4 are diagrams illustrating the manufacturing process of the microchannel according to the first embodiment.
First, in the step shown in FIG. 3A, a
Then, the resist is exposed and developed to form a through
Next, in the step shown in FIG. 3B, an
Next, in the step shown in FIG. 3C, a liquid (relatively high clay liquid) is applied so as to cover the resist
Next, in the step shown in FIG. 4A, the covering
Next, in the step shown in FIG. 4B, a
Thereby, the
In addition, when producing the
As described above, the micro-channel 20 according to the first embodiment includes the

<Second Embodiment>
In the second embodiment, an example in which a second light receiving element is provided will be described. In the second embodiment, the description of the same components as those of the already described embodiments is omitted.
FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an optical analyzer according to the second embodiment. Referring to FIG. 5, in the
The light receiving element 60 (second light receiving element) is mounted on the
The
When the
As described above, the
The preferred embodiment has been described in detail above. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications and replacements are made to the above-described embodiment without departing from the scope described in the claims. Can be added.
For example, a plurality of analyte channels may be formed in one optical analyzer. By providing a light emitting element and a light receiving element for each analyte flow path, the characteristics of a plurality of analytes can be analyzed simultaneously. At this time, the same subject may be introduced into each subject channel, and light may be irradiated from the light emitting elements having different wavelengths to each subject channel. Alternatively, separate analytes may be introduced into each analyte channel, and light may be irradiated from the light emitting elements having the same wavelength to each analyte channel.
