Abstract
Description
本発明は、水分捕獲剤、水分捕獲体形成用組成物、水分捕獲体及び電子デバイスに関する。 The present invention relates to a moisture trapping agent, a composition for forming a moisture trap, a moisture trap and an electronic device.
例えば、代表的な密閉型電子デバイスである有機EL素子は、駆動期間の長期化に伴って、内部に侵入した水分により輝度や発光効率等の発光特性が徐々に低下するため、密閉した状態で使用する必要がある。しかし、このような電子デバイスを封止により完全に密閉することは困難である。 For example, an organic EL element, which is a typical sealed electronic device, has a light-emitting characteristic such as luminance and light emission efficiency that gradually decreases due to moisture that has entered the interior as the driving period becomes longer. Need to use. However, it is difficult to completely seal such an electronic device by sealing.
そこで、あらかじめ電子デバイス内に特定の有機金属化合物からなる水分捕獲剤を配置し、この水分捕獲剤に水分を捕獲させることで電子デバイス内を低湿度環境に保つ有機EL素子が提案されている(特開2002−033187号公報参照)。 Then, the organic EL element which arrange | positions the moisture capture agent which consists of a specific organometallic compound beforehand in an electronic device, and keeps the inside of an electronic device in a low-humidity environment by making this moisture capture agent capture a water | moisture content is proposed ( Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2002-033187).
しかしながら、従来の水分捕獲剤では、水分の捕獲により生じた低分子アルコール等の揮発性の分解生成物が有機EL素子内の発光部(有機EL層)に付着し、この付着により発光ムラ(所謂ダークスポット)が発生するおそれがある。また、水分捕獲剤には、製膜性、耐熱性及び密着性も求められている。 However, in the conventional moisture trapping agent, a volatile decomposition product such as a low molecular alcohol generated by trapping moisture adheres to the light emitting portion (organic EL layer) in the organic EL element, and this adhesion causes emission unevenness (so-called “so-called”). Dark spots) may occur. In addition, the film-capturing agent, heat resistance and adhesion are also required for the moisture capturing agent.
本発明は、以上のような事情に基づいてなされたものであり、その目的は、製膜性等の一般的特性を十分満足し、かつ揮発性の分解生成物を生じ難い水分捕獲剤を提供することである。 The present invention has been made based on the above circumstances, and its purpose is to provide a moisture scavenger that sufficiently satisfies general characteristics such as film forming properties and hardly generates volatile decomposition products. It is to be.

[Heat transfer filler]
A heat conductive filler is a component which improves the heat dissipation of the moisture trap formed. An electronic device such as an organic EL lighting device in which a plurality of organic EL elements are arranged may generate heat, resulting in an adverse effect on light emission characteristics such as luminance and light emission efficiency due to a high temperature in the vicinity of the element. May occur. Therefore, the composition for forming a moisture trap contains the heat conductive filler, thereby improving the heat dissipation of an electronic device such as an organic EL lighting device including the moisture trap to protect it from moisture, and from the harmful effects of heat generation. The electronic device can be protected.
As the heat conductive filler, known fillers such as inorganic particles can be used. When inorganic particles are used as the heat conductive filler, not only the thermal conductivity of the moisture trap formed using the composition according to the present embodiment is improved, but also [A] the moisture trap is absorbed by moisture. The decomposition product generated by the decomposition can be adsorbed and the decomposition product can be captured inside the moisture trap. Thereby, it can prevent that the said decomposition product acts as a plasticizer of a moisture capture body, for example, does not deform | transform by heat flow also in the use environment exceeding 80 degreeC. Furthermore, other functions of the inorganic particles include improving the mechanical strength of the formed moisture trap and increasing the moisture absorption capacity of the moisture trap.

By making the average particle size of the inorganic particles in the above range, deformation due to heat flow of the formed moisture trap can be prevented, and in particular, when the average particle size is 5 nm to 100 nm, the transparency is also excellent. A moisture trap can be formed. In addition, when the average particle size of the inorganic particles is in the above range, it becomes easy to impart an appropriate viscosity as described later to the composition for forming a water trap, and workability when forming the water trap. (Applicability, etc.) is improved. Furthermore, when the average particle diameter of the inorganic particles is in the above range, the inorganic particles have a surface area sufficient to capture the decomposition products, and thereby deformation due to heat flow of the moisture capturing body can be suppressed.
