Abstract
【解決手段】この方法は、固形セルロース、セルロースを溶かすことができる溶媒、及び、前記添加剤の分散液を互いに接触させて、前記固形セルロースの表面層を溶媒中に溶かすステップと、溶けた前記セルロースを前記添加剤と接触させるステップと、溶媒の組成、量、又は、温度を変えて、溶媒中セルロースの溶解度を減らし、溶けていた前記セルロースの少なくとも一部が溶液から出てくるようにするステップと、を含む。本発明は、フッ素重合体を表面被覆物として固形セルロースに適用する方法を提供する。本発明は、前述の方法によって製造され得るフッ素重合体とセルロース繊維マットとを含む柔軟な軸受要素をも提供する。前記溶媒は環状アシンオキサイドと水を含み、特に環状アミンオキサイドがN−メチルモルホリンN−オキサイド(NMMO)である。

Description
(a)セルロース繊維マットの表面にフッ素重合体の分散液を適用するステップ、
(b)前記フッ素重合体が、前記セルロースマットの表面に被覆され、それに付着されるように、カレンダ加工などによって、前記セルロース繊維マットを押圧するステップ
(a)固形セルロース、セルロースを溶かすことができる溶媒、及び、添加剤の分散液を互いに接触させて、固形セルロースの表面層を溶媒中に溶かすステップ(ここで、溶媒は、水と別の液体(例えば、NMMO)との混合物である。)
(b)溶けたセルロースを添加剤と接触させるステップ(例えば、拡散させて、前記セルロースと接触させる。)
(c)溶媒の組成、量、又は、温度を変えて、溶媒中セルロースの溶解度を減らし、溶けていたセルロースの少なくとも一部が溶液から出てくるようにするステップ(ここで、溶けたセルロースと接触した添加剤は、得られた固形セルロースに組み込まれ、又は、それに付着される。)
(i)水/NMMO混合物を、例えば、80〜100℃に加熱すること。水は、NMMOより揮発性があるので、水は、優先的に蒸発され、混合物中NMMOの濃度は、水/NMMO混合物が図1の陰影部の外側に存在するまでに、増加する。
(ii)溶媒の量がセルロースを溶かすのに不十分となるように、NMMO及び水の両方を除去し又は揮発させる(drive off)こと、または、
(iii)水、または、NMMOのいずれかを加えること。前記(iii)には、使用される成分の量を増やすというデメリットがあり、混合及びプロセスの制御に困難をもたらし、水/NMMOからセルロースを分離するステップを妨げる可能性がある。

−55%のNMMO溶液(市販されるもの、55%NMMOを含む。)

Claims (20)
- セルロースに添加剤を適用する方法であって、
(a)固形セルロース、セルロースを溶かすことができる溶媒、及び、前記添加剤の分散液を互いに接触させて、前記固形セルロースの表面層を前記溶媒中に溶かすステップと、
(b)溶けた前記セルロースを前記添加剤と接触させるステップと、
(c)前記溶媒の組成、量、又は、温度を変えて、前記溶媒中セルロースの溶解度を下げ、それにより、溶けていた前記セルロースの少なくとも一部が溶液から出てくるようにするステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ステップ(a)を行う前に、前記添加剤を前記溶媒と混合するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒が、2以上の成分の混合物であり、
前記混合物中セルロースの溶解度がその混合物における前記成分の相対量に依存するように、前記混合物を選択し、そして、
前記ステップ(c)が、前記混合物における前記セルロースの溶解度が前記ステップ(a)における溶解度に比べて下がるように、前記成分の相対量を変えることを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 最初に前記固形セルロースと接触していた前記成分の混合物が、前記固形セルロースの表面層を溶かすことができるものであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記固形セルロースの表面層を溶かすのに必要とされる成分の割合を、
前記成分の混合物を前記固形セルロースに適用し、そして、
前記混合物を乾燥させ、一の成分だけを選択的に除去して、前記セルロースを溶かすことができる成分の混合物を得ることによって、獲得することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。 - 前記成分の相対量を変えることで、溶けていた前記セルロースの少なくとも一部が溶液から出てくるようにするステップを、前記混合物を乾燥させることによって、一の成分を選択的に除去するとともに、前記混合物中それ以外の成分の濃度を上げていくことによって行うことを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒が、水と、環状アミンオキサイドとを含むことを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記環状アミンオキサイドが、NMMOであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(a)における前記混合物が、67〜87%のNMMOを含有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(c)を行った後に、洗浄によって、前記固形セルロースから前記溶媒を除去するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記添加剤が、媒体中前記添加剤粒子の分散液の形態をなしていることを特徴とする請求項1〜10に記載の方法。
- 前記添加剤が、疎水性を有していることを特徴とする請求項1〜11に記載の方法。
- 前記疎水性添加剤が、フッ素重合体であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記固形セルロースが、紙の形態をなしていることを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記固形セルロースが、好ましくは、水性分散液中セルロース繊維または粒子の形態をなしていることを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって、添加剤が適用された固形セルロースを含む製品。
- 前記添加剤が、フッ素重合体である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記混合物が、水とそれ以外の液体との混合物である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記フッ素重合体が、PTFE、FEP、PFA、MFA、PVDF、ETFE、ECTFE、THV、または、これらの混合物である、請求項13に記載の方法。
