Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a technical field of a vehicle power management system that efficiently uses electric power regenerated by an alternator driven in accordance with the rotational speed of an internal combustion engine in a vehicle.
In general, the kinetic energy is converted into electric energy by regenerative driving of the alternator using the kinetic energy of the vehicle during deceleration, and is supplied to various electric loads in the vehicle. In this way, the amount of electric power regenerated by the alternator varies depending on the traveling state. Therefore, the electric power generated by the alternator is stored in the battery and then supplied according to the electric power demand in each electric load.
On the other hand, the electric power demand in each electric load also changes according to the running state. Therefore, it is required to efficiently distribute a limited amount of power generated in the vehicle according to the power demand of each electric load. In response to such a request,
By the way, when charging / discharging a power storage device such as a battery, there is a considerable amount of power loss depending on the charge / discharge efficiency based on its electrical characteristics and chemical characteristics. In
In
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and provides a vehicle power management system that can efficiently use the power regenerated by an alternator driven according to the rotational speed of an internal combustion engine in the vehicle. With the goal.
In order to solve the above-described problem, a power management system for a vehicle according to the present invention stores the power regenerated by an alternator driven according to the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine in a battery or supplies it to an electric load. A power management system for predicting a regeneration timing and a maximum power generation amount of the alternator; a power demand amount calculating unit for calculating a power demand amount of the electric load at the regeneration timing; and the battery at the regeneration timing. Required electric energy calculation means for calculating the charge allowable amount, an electric auxiliary machine capable of storing the electric power regenerated by the alternator, the battery, the electric load, and the electric power regenerated by the alternator, and Control means for respectively controlling the supply amount to the electric auxiliary machine, the control means, If the maximum power generation amount measured by the alternator is greater than the sum of the power demand and the chargeable quantity, and supplying the regenerated electric power of the alternator to the electric auxiliary machine.
According to the present invention, when the electric power regenerated by the alternator is larger than the sum of the demand amount in the electric load and the allowable charging amount of the battery (that is, the surplus power is supplied to the battery while covering the demand amount of the electric load). If the surplus power remains even after being stored (for example, when the surplus power of the electric load cannot be fully charged in the battery), the surplus power can be stored in the electric auxiliary machine to reduce wasted power. On the other hand, the electric load regeneratively generated in the alternator can be consumed directly without going through the battery, so it is not affected by the power loss due to the charging / discharging efficiency of the battery. Wasteful consumption can be suppressed, and a highly efficient power management system can be realized.
In one aspect of the present invention, the control means operates the electric auxiliary machine using electric power stored in the battery from a predetermined period before the regeneration timing.
According to this aspect, the charge amount of the battery is reduced in advance by operating the electric auxiliary machine using the electric power stored in the battery prior to the regeneration timing of the alternator. As a result, the allowable charging amount of the battery at the regeneration timing is increased, so that the surplus power of the electric load can be charged efficiently.
According to the present invention, when the electric power regenerated by the alternator is larger than the sum of the demand amount in the electric load and the allowable charging amount of the battery (that is, the surplus power is supplied to the battery while covering the demand amount of the electric load).

The battery 4 has a built-in charge / discharge control circuit (not shown), and is managed so that the amount of charge is in an appropriate range so that the lifetime is not shortened by overcharge / overdischarge. The battery charge (SOC) can be detected externally by outputting a signal from a built-in SOC sensor.

Next, specific contents of the power management control performed by the power
The power
Subsequently, the power demand
In addition, the allowable charge
Defined by Based on the SOC detection value from the battery 4, the allowable charge
The estimation of the SOC at the regeneration timing is performed by taking into consideration the electric power charged / discharged in the battery 4 on the guide travel path by the regeneration timing based on road information and traffic information acquired from the
Subsequently, the
Is established (step S104: YES), it is determined that the operation of the electric
FIG. 4 is a graph showing the relationship between the maximum power generation amount Pmax of the
The maximum power generation amount Pmax of the
Pr=Pmax―(Pn+Pc) (3)
When the engine speed is Ne1 or more, the maximum power generation amount Pmax of the
Pr = Pmax− (Pn + Pc) (3)
Will remain. In the power management system according to the present embodiment, the surplus power Pr generated in this way is supplied to the electric
On the other hand, when the engine speed is less than Ne1, the maximum power generation amount Pmax of the
2 and 3 again, when it is determined that the operation of the electric
Here, since the
When operating the electric
In addition, since the electric power of the battery 4 consumed prior to the regeneration timing is stored by the electric
After starting the operation of the electric
On the other hand, when the operation of the electric
Thereafter, when the regenerative drive of the
As described above, in the power management system according to the present embodiment, when the electric power regenerated by the
