Abstract
Description
The present invention is a fuel tank that is mounted on a vehicle and in which fuel from a fuel gun is supplied through a fuel pipe at a filling station, and in particular, an air bleed pipe attached to the fuel pipe prevents the accumulation of air in the fuel pipe. It relates to a possible fuel tank.
An automobile opens a fuel filler opening in a recess formed in an outer wall of a vehicle body at a fueling station, and inserts a fuel gun into the fuel filler opening to supply fuel to a fuel tank. The fuel filler port is formed at the upper end of a fuel pipe connected to the fuel tank, and the fuel supplied here flows down in the fuel pipe by its own weight and is stored in the fuel tank. At this time, the fuel flows down from the fuel filler on the side wall side toward the fuel tank at the lower center of the vehicle body in the vehicle width direction. In this case, the greater the vertical inclination, the more smoothly the fuel flows. However, the fuel pipe has a relatively small vertical inclination, and there are many lateral regions extending relatively long in the vehicle width direction. It may not be done smoothly.
In particular, if the fuel is lighter than gasoline, the viscosity of the fuel pipe is relatively high, so if there is a small vertical slope in the piping area of the fuel pipe and a long piping area in the horizontal direction, it may take time to supply the fuel. The piping area that is long in the direction is reduced.
Further, when the fuel flows down in the fuel pipe, an air pool is generated between the fuel surface and the flowing fuel near the lower part of the fuel pipe communicating with the lower part of the fuel tank, and the fuel flows into the tank. May be hindered. In order to avoid this, the vicinity of the curved portion on the tank side where air accumulation is likely to occur and the vicinity of the inlet of the fuel inlet of the fuel pipe are communicated with each other by an air vent pipe so that air can be easily vented, thereby enabling smooth oil supply. An example of a fuel tank provided with such an air vent pipe is disclosed in
Incidentally, a return opening for discharging the return air and return fuel of the air vent pipe is formed on the inner wall surface on the inner side from the inlet of the fuel filler opening. When the fuel sprayed from the nozzle of the fuel gun is applied to the return opening, air bleeding is not performed. Therefore, it is necessary to regulate the direction of the nozzle so as to eject the fuel in the direction avoiding the return opening. Furthermore, a sensor hole for detecting the position of the fuel surface that rises when the nozzle is full is provided in the lower part near the tip of the nozzle, and if the return fuel from the return opening is applied to the sensor hole, an erroneous full tank detection is performed. Therefore, it is also necessary to shift and hold the nozzle position of the fuel gun so that the sensor hole is held from the return opening to the fuel inlet side.
Further, in
However, in
On the other hand, in
In order to solve the above-described problems, the present invention maintains a function of venting air in an air reservoir generated in a fuel pipe by an air vent pipe, and also has different nozzle diameters of a fuel gun during refueling. Provided is a fuel tank that can be held at an appropriate insertion position.
The invention of
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the fuel tank according to the first aspect, the tip of the filler neck is positioned so as to face a part of the opening on the fuel filler side of the air vent pipe.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the fuel tank according to the first or second aspect, the guide portion extends below the ridge portion of the long plate-like filler neck and the left and right ends of the ridge portion, and the tip of the fuel gun nozzle. It is characterized by being formed by a pair of flange portions that are clamped so as to restrict the position in the insertion direction.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the fuel tank according to the third aspect, a long plate-like ridge portion of the filler neck, a pair of flange portions sandwiching a tip of the fuel gun nozzle, and an inner lower wall of the fuel filler port The position of the tip of the fuel gun nozzle at the fuel filler inlet is regulated and held by the portion.
In the first aspect of the invention, since the tip of the filler neck covers a part of the opening while the opening on the oil filler port side of the air vent pipe keeps an air escape gap, the fuel ejected from the nozzle enters the opening of the air vent pipe. You can stop going. Therefore, air in the air reservoir generated in the upper part of the fuel pipe is returned from the opening of the air vent pipe to the air escape gap side, or return fuel mixed in the air from the air vent pipe opening is supplied by the air in the air reservoir. Smooth fuel supply can be performed while ensuring air bleeding without being obstructed.
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the fuel can be supplied to the tank body side by being mixed with the fuel flow ejected from the rear end of the filler neck, and the fuel can be supplied more smoothly.
In the invention of
In the invention of
Hereinafter, the fuel tank which is 1st Embodiment of this invention is demonstrated.

As shown in FIG. 1, the lower part of the

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the leveling
On the other hand, the air vent pipe (air vent pipe) 7 communicates a

As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
A diameter-expanding
The
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 (a) to 5 (c), the
Accordingly, the
Furthermore, the distance d1 between the pair of
Here, as shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, if the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6B, if the
As described above, the positions of the deepest portions s1 and s2 described above are held on the front side (the inlet position P1 side of the fuel filler port 5) from the
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the
Such a fuel tank of FIG. 1 is used for light oil, and fueling is performed by a fueling gun G1.
In this case, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 6A, the
Further, the distance d1 between the pair of
In addition, the fuel injected from the
On the other hand, it is assumed that the fuel tank of FIG. 1 is used as a gasoline tank, and fuel is supplied as a gasoline supply gun G1.
In this case, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 6B, the
As described above, in the fuel tank of FIG. 1, the fuel injected from the
As described above, the
In this case, the
In addition, as shown in FIG. 5 (a), the above-described filler
