Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a light emitting module, a lamp unit, a lighting device, and the like using a light emitting diode (hereinafter, LED (Light Emitting Diode)) and a laser diode (hereinafter, LD (Laser Diode)).
In recent years, color space variable LED lighting has been proposed for spatial illumination in order to realize illumination light according to various scenes. There are five colors (color temperatures) defined in the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS: Z9112 in the illumination light of the illumination light source. Of these five colors, the bulb color (
However, in a light emitting module using a light emitting unit having a light emitting element (LED) and a phosphor excited by the light, when trying to reproduce the light bulb color, the amount of phosphor mounted in each light emitting unit increases, and light emission occurs. It is necessary to increase the color purity as a unit. In this case, the light from the phosphor diffuses inside the phosphor layer, the luminance is lowered, and the light emission efficiency as the light emitting module is lowered. In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an illumination device that can reproduce light emission in a wide color reproduction range by dimming without reducing the luminance of light emission.

In addition, a lamp unit according to one embodiment of the present invention can include a light emitting module described above and a cover that transmits light emitted from the light emitting module.
The lighting device according to one embodiment of the present invention can include the lamp unit.
≪Background to Invention≫
In examining the amount of phosphor contained in each light emitting unit constituting the light emitting module, the intensity of light emitted from the light emitting unit, and the chromaticity of light emission of the light emitting module, the inventor obtained the following knowledge . Fig.1 (a) is an emission spectrum at the time of using a green fluorescent substance with respect to a blue LED light emitting element. FIG.1 (b) is an emission spectrum at the time of using a red fluorescent substance with respect to a blue LED light emitting element. The blue LED
FIG. 2 shows the intensity of light emitted from a light emitting element and a phosphor layer emitted from a red light emitting unit having a light emitting element using a blue LED and a red phosphor, and the total amount of phosphors contained in the red phosphor layer. It is the figure which showed the relationship with as a tendency. FIG. 3 is a chromaticity diagram showing the relationship between the chromaticity of light from the light emitting unit and the chromaticity of light emitted from the light emitting module, and shows the color reproduction range of the light emitting module.
As shown in FIG. 2, when the red phosphor is configured to emit light in the vicinity of the phosphor amount A that emits the maximum luminance, the red phosphor from the red phosphor is not absorbed by the phosphor layer. The light from the blue LED light emitting element is mixed and output. Therefore, as indicated by an arrow A in FIG. 3, the chromaticity of the light from the red light emission unit is shifted in the blue direction as compared with the chromaticity of the red light originally emitted from the red phosphor. Similarly, the color of the light from the green light emitting unit having the blue LED light emitting element and the green phosphor excited by the light is mixed with the blue light from the blue LED light emitting element in the green light from the green phosphor. Is done. Therefore, as indicated by an arrow B in FIG. 3, the chromaticity of light from the light emitting unit is shifted in the blue direction compared to the chromaticity of light originally emitted from the green phosphor. When the white light is obtained by combining the three primary colors of light from each light emitting unit of the light emitting module, the chromaticity of light from the blue LED light emitting element and the light chromaticity from the red light emitting unit in FIG. , Expressed as a range of triangles formed by the chromaticity of light from the green light emitting unit. As described above, the chromaticity of light from the green light emission unit shifts in the blue direction from G0 to G1. Further, the chromaticity of light from the red light emitting unit shifts in the blue direction from R0 to R1. Therefore, the area of the triangle is reduced from the range indicated by the triangle B1-G0-R0 to the range surrounded by the triangle B1-G1-R1, and the color reproduction range is reduced. At this time, the chromaticity coordinates of the light bulb color (
On the other hand, in order to expand the variable range of the color temperature, the color purity of the light emitted from each of the green light emission unit and the red light emission unit may be increased. For that purpose, as shown in FIG. 2, the phosphor amount constituting the light emission unit can be increased to the phosphor amount B, and the light from the blue LED light emitting element can be converted into red light without leakage. . However, when the amount of the phosphor is increased to B, the color purity increases, while the light from the phosphor diffuses inside the phosphor layer, the luminance of the light emitted from the red phosphor decreases, and the efficiency as a light emitting unit decreases. I learned that there is a problem. Such a decrease in luminance is attributed to the fact that the phosphor layer is configured to expand the color reproduction range for reproducing the light bulb color (

FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view showing a cross section taken along line AA in FIG. FIG. 9 is a wiring diagram illustrating a connection state between the light emitting module and the circuit unit.
図7および図8に示すように、発光モジュール10は、基板110と、発光素子120a1〜120a5,120b1〜120b5,120c1〜120c5,120d1〜120d5,120e1〜120e5、120f1〜120f5(以下、「a1〜a5,b1〜b5,c1〜c5,d1〜d5,e1〜e5,f1〜f5」を付して区別する説明する必要がない箇所では単に「発光素子120」と記載する。) さらに、封止部材130a,130b,130c(以下、「a,b,c」を付して区別する説明する必要がない箇所では単に「封止部材130」と記載する。) 更に、端子部150a,150b,150c(以下、「a,b,c」を付して区別する説明する必要がない箇所では単に「端子部150」と記載する。)

Further, a yellow phosphor may be used instead of the green phosphor. Examples of the yellow phosphor include an alkaline earth metal silicate phosphor activated by Eu 2+ , an oxynitride phosphor, and an acid based on a sialon crystal. Examples thereof include nitride phosphors, sulfide phosphors, and oxide phosphors based on garnet crystals activated by Ce 3+ . For example, Y 3 Al 5 O 12 : Ce 3+ can be used.
The sealing
In the present embodiment, among the six rows of light emitting
Accordingly, the light emitting

As shown in FIG. 8, the sealing
<Method for manufacturing light emitting module>
The sealing
As shown in FIG. 11A, a

As shown in FIG. 11B, the
<Lighting circuit>
FIG. 9 is a wiring diagram illustrating a connection state between the light emitting module and the lighting device. The
The
The

<About color reproduction range>
As shown in FIG. 10, the filter member used in the present embodiment absorbs or reflects light in the wavelength range of 380 nm to 495 nm and suppresses transmission of light from the blue LED light emitting element. FIG. 12 shows a light emitting element and a phosphor layer that emit light from a red light emitting unit having a light emitting element using a blue LED and a red phosphor when the filter member is disposed on the main emission surface side of the red phosphor. It is the figure which showed as a tendency the relationship between the intensity | strength of emitted light, and the total amount of the fluorescent substance contained in a red fluorescent substance layer. When FIG. 12 is compared with FIG. 2 that does not use a filter member, in FIG. 12, even when the red phosphor is configured to emit light in the vicinity of the phosphor amount A where the maximum luminance is emitted, the phosphor layer is turned on. The blue light from the blue LED light emitting element that is not absorbed by the light is suppressed from being transmitted by the filter member. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the blue light from the blue LED light emitting element that has not been absorbed by the phosphor layer from being mixed with the red light from the red phosphor and output.
FIG. 13 is a diagram illustrating the relationship between the absorptance of the filter member according to the embodiment, and the emission spectra of the light-emitting elements and phosphor layers constituting the light-emitting units. Specifically, it shows changes in the spectrum of transmitted light from the light emitting element and the phosphor layer when the transmittance of the filter member having an absorption region in the wavelength range of 380 nm to 495 nm is gradually changed. FIG. 13A shows a change in light output from the green light emission unit. FIG. 13B shows a change in light output from the red light emitting unit. When the transmittance of the filter member is gradually reduced, the intensity of the blue light emitted from the green light emitting unit and the red light coloring unit gradually decreases.
FIG. 14 is a chromaticity diagram showing chromaticity indicated by light output from the light emitting unit through the filter member and change in chromaticity of light emitted from the light emitting module when the transmittance of the filter member is gradually changed. is there. The color reproduction range of the light emitting module in one mode of this embodiment is shown. As shown in FIG. 14, the chromaticity of the light from the red light emitting unit shifted in the blue direction approaches the chromaticity of the red light originally emitted from the red phosphor, and the color purity is improved. Similarly, for the green light emitting unit, the chromaticity of light approaches the chromaticity of green light originally emitted from the green phosphor, and the color purity is improved. As a result, as a light emitting module, light emission in a wide color reproduction range can be reproduced by dimming.
Specifically, by setting the transmittance of the filter member used for the red light emitting unit to 5% or less and the transmittance of the filter member used for the green light emitting unit to 5% or less, white having a color temperature of 2100K or more can be reproduced. Further, by setting the transmittance of the filter member used for the red light emitting unit to 10% or less and the transmittance of the filter member used for the green light emitting unit to 5% or less, it is possible to reproduce white having a color temperature of 2500 K or more. Alternatively, when the transmittance of the filter member used for the red light emitting unit is 5% or less and the transmittance of the filter member used for the green light emitting unit is 25% or less, white having a color temperature of 2500 K or more can be reproduced. Further, by setting the transmittance of the filter member used for the red light emitting unit to 20% or less and the transmittance of the filter member used for the green light emitting unit to 5% or less, it is possible to reproduce white having a color temperature of 3000 K or more. Alternatively, by setting the transmittance of the filter member used for the red light emitting unit to 5% or less and the transmittance of the filter member used for the green light emitting unit to 75% or less, white having a color temperature of 3000K or more can be reproduced. When the same filter member is used for the red light emission unit and the green light emission unit, white having a color temperature of 3000 K or more can be reproduced by setting the transmittance of the filter member to 15% or less.
On the other hand, in the light emitting module according to the present embodiment, as described above, the luminance can be improved by configuring the light emitting unit to be lighted in the vicinity of the amount of the phosphor that emits the maximum luminance. As a result, an illumination device with a wide color reproduction range can be provided without reducing the luminance of light from the phosphor.
≪Modification≫
<Light emitting module>
A modification of the first embodiment will be described. FIG. 15 is a perspective view showing a

In the present modification, a

In this example, a light emitting package having a surface mount device (SMD) structure is illustrated as the light emitting package 520. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and a light emitting package having another structure is used. May be.

Next, the red light emitting package 520c will be described. The red light emitting package 520c has the same configuration as the
Next, the blue light emitting package 520a will be described. The blue light emitting package 520a has the same configuration as the
