Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell device including a reformer that generates fuel gas to be supplied to a fuel cell.
As disclosed in Patent Document 1, a reformer that incorporates a reformed gas such as city gas into fuel gas is incorporated in the fuel cell device. The reformer is disposed above a fuel cell stack that is an assembly of a plurality of fuel cells arranged at a predetermined interval. The fuel cell stack generates power using fuel gas and oxidant gas rising from the lower end to the upper end of the fuel cell stack. The fuel gas and oxidant gas used in the fuel cell stack are combusted, and the reformer is heated by the combustion. Such heating increases the temperature of the combustion gas.
The reformer is supported by a gas inflow pipe that supplies a gas to be reformed to one end of the reformer, and a gas outflow pipe that allows fuel gas to flow out from the other end of the reformer. Diffusion prevention walls are arranged opposite to each other on the pair of side surfaces in the longitudinal direction of the fuel cell stack. By the action of the pair of diffusion preventing walls, it is possible to prevent the oxidant gas from diffusing in the longitudinal direction of the fuel cell stack. On the other hand, an air flow path is formed between the reformer and the upper surface of the diffusion prevention wall. This air flow path discharges the oxidant gas flowing out from the fuel cell stack toward the outside of the diffusion prevention wall.
Due to the combustion described above, a very large temperature difference is formed between the reformed gas flowing into the reformer and the fuel gas flowing out of the reformer, and heat is generated between the gas inlet pipe and the gas outlet pipe. There is a difference in expansion. Due to this difference, the cross-sectional area of the air flow path on one diffusion prevention wall side and the cross-sectional area of the air flow path on the other diffusion prevention wall side differ from each other, and the fuel in the fuel cell stack Disturbances may occur in the flow of gas and oxidant gas. Due to this disturbance, the combustion of the fuel gas and the oxidant gas becomes non-uniform, and the progress of the deterioration of the fuel cell differs. As a result, the life cannot be made uniform among all the fuel cells, and stable power generation performance cannot be ensured over a long period of time.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell device capable of preventing the occurrence of gas flow disturbance and stabilizing the power generation performance over a long period of time. .
In order to achieve the above object, according to the present invention,
In a fuel cell device that generates power using fuel gas and oxidant gas,
An oxidant gas flow path that includes a plurality of fuel cell cells that form a fuel gas flow path that allows fuel gas to flow from the lower end toward the upper end, and that flows oxidant gas from the lower end toward the upper end between the fuel cells. Forming a fuel cell stack,
A pair of anti-diffusion walls facing the pair of opposed side surfaces of the fuel cell stack respectively inwardly;
A reformer disposed above the fuel cell stack, fixed to the diffusion prevention wall at one end and the other end, and reforming the supplied reformed gas into fuel gas;
A gas inflow pipe connected to one end of the reformer and allowing the reformed gas to flow into the reformer;
A gas outflow pipe connected to the other end of the reformer and allowing the fuel gas to flow out of the reformer, and a fuel cell device comprising:
Provided is a fuel cell device in which an air flow path is formed between each of the diffusion prevention walls and the reformer so as to circulate the gas flowing out of the fuel cell stack.
In such a fuel cell device, the reformer is heated when reforming the gas to be reformed, so the temperature of the gas inflow pipe through which the gas to be reformed flows into the reformer and the fuel gas from the reformer are discharged. A very large temperature difference occurs between the temperature of the gas outlet pipe and the temperature. As a result, a difference in thermal expansion occurs between the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe. In the fuel cell device according to the present invention, since the reformer is fixed to the expansion prevention wall, the flow passage cross-sectional area of the air flow passage does not change. As a result, no disturbance occurs in the flow of the gas flowing through the fuel gas flow path and the oxidant gas flow path of the fuel cell stack, so that all the fuel battery cells can generate power uniformly. Therefore, the fuel cell device can ensure stable power generation performance over a long period of time.
In the fuel cell device according to the present invention, at least one of the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe is between at least one of the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe and the diffusion prevention wall. It is preferable to provide a stretchable part that allows relative displacement due to the difference in thermal expansion.
In such a fuel cell device, the reformer is fixed to both the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe and the diffusion prevention wall. For example, the heat of the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe against the thermal expansion of the diffusion prevention wall. When the expansion is small, it is assumed that the gas inflow pipe or the gas outflow pipe is damaged by the relative displacement between the diffusion prevention wall and the gas inflow pipe or the gas outflow pipe. However, in the fuel cell device according to the present invention, the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe are formed with expansion / contraction portions, and the expansion / contraction portions can allow relative displacement due to a difference in thermal expansion. As a result, it is possible to prevent the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe from being damaged.
In the fuel cell device according to the present invention, it is preferable that each of the gas inflow pipe and the gas outflow pipe is disposed to face an outward surface of the corresponding diffusion prevention wall, It is preferable to arrange below the air flow path.
According to such a fuel cell device, since the expandable portion is disposed below the air flow path, it does not directly receive the heat of the high-temperature gas flowing through the air flow path. As a result, since the deterioration of the stretchable part can be suppressed, the stretchable part can keep stretching for a long period of time.
Further, in the fuel cell device according to the present invention, the air flow paths are respectively between the reformer and one of the diffusion prevention walls, and between the reformer and the other diffusion prevention wall. It is preferable that the spacer is formed by at least a pair of spacers sandwiched between them, and it is preferable that all the spacers have the same shape and the same size.
In such a fuel cell device, since all the spacers have the same shape and the same size, the operating conditions of the fuel cell device such as the operating temperature of the fuel cell stack, the flow rate of the fuel gas and the oxidant gas, etc. Even if the required flow path cross-sectional area of the air flow path changes, it is possible to easily change the flow cross-sectional area of the air flow path by changing the shape and size of the spacer. it can. As a result, it is possible to easily set the flow path cross-sectional area necessary for making the life of each fuel battery cell uniform according to the operating conditions.
In the fuel cell device according to the present invention, the pair of spacers disposed on one of the diffusion prevention walls and the pair of spacers disposed on the other diffusion prevention wall are a pair of the fuel cell stack. It is preferable that the air flow paths are arranged so as to be symmetrical with each other with respect to an intermediate surface defined at an equal distance from the side surface.
In such a fuel cell device, the spacer is disposed so that the air flow path is formed symmetrically with respect to the intermediate surface defined at an equal distance from the pair of side surfaces of the fuel cell stack. The flow of the gas flowing in the vicinity of can be made the same in the direction perpendicular to the pair of side surfaces between the one air flow path and the other air flow path. As a result, the fuel cell device can ensure stable power generation performance over a long period of time.
In the fuel cell device according to the present invention, the pair of spacers disposed on one of the diffusion prevention walls and the pair of spacers disposed on the other diffusion prevention wall are a pair of the fuel cell stack. It is preferable that they are arranged in plane symmetry with respect to the second intermediate surface defined at an equal distance from another pair of side surfaces that connect the side surfaces to each other.
In such a fuel cell device, the pair of spacers disposed on one diffusion prevention wall and the pair of spacers disposed on the other diffusion prevention wall are defined at an equal distance from the other pair of side surfaces of the fuel cell stack. Since the gas flow flowing in the vicinity of the diffusion prevention wall is arranged between the one air flow path and the other air flow path It can be made the same in the direction orthogonal to. Therefore, the fuel cell device can ensure stable power generation performance over a long period of time.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a fuel cell device capable of preventing the occurrence of gas flow disturbance and stabilizing the power generation performance over a long period of time.

The aforementioned power generation
Therefore, the oxidant gas is supplied to the power generation
Next, a structure for discharging combustion gas generated by combustion of fuel gas and oxidant gas will be described. The combustion gas generated above the

Since the

Further, a
According to the fuel cell apparatus as described above, the
Further, as described above, since the
Furthermore, the
