Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a display device and a television receiver.
In recent years, display elements of image display devices such as television receivers are shifting from conventional cathode ray tubes to thin display devices to which thin display elements such as liquid crystal panels and plasma display panels are applied. Is possible. The liquid crystal display device requires a backlight device as an illumination device separately because the liquid crystal panel used for this does not emit light.
In a liquid crystal display device used for a large television receiver or the like, a large liquid crystal panel is used. In a liquid crystal display device including such a large liquid crystal panel, the liquid crystal panel may be bent by its own weight or the like. Patent Document 1 discloses a technique capable of preventing a liquid crystal panel from being bent in a liquid crystal display device including a large liquid crystal panel. In the liquid crystal display device disclosed in Patent Document 1, a transparent reinforcing plate is disposed on the opposite side (backlight device side) to the display surface side of the liquid crystal panel, so that the liquid crystal display device is parallel to the display surface of the liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal panel is prevented from bending to the side opposite to the display surface side due to its own weight or the like.
By the way, when a liquid crystal display device is used for a television receiver or the like, the liquid crystal display device is placed on a plane in a vertically oriented state. In this case, in a large liquid crystal panel, the liquid crystal panel may bend toward the display surface side due to its own weight or the like. However, in Patent Document 1 described above, the liquid crystal panel can be prevented from being bent to the side opposite to the display surface side, but the liquid crystal panel cannot be prevented from being bent to the display surface side.
Here, in recent years, due to demands for reducing manufacturing costs and further thinning, it has been considered to abolish synthetic resin cabinets, which are external parts of liquid crystal display units, but liquid crystal displays without such cabinets. In an apparatus, a frame-shaped member or the like is usually not disposed between an optical member such as an optical sheet disposed on the liquid crystal panel and the backlight device side, and the liquid crystal panel and the optical member are in contact with each other. It has become. In such a configuration, when the liquid crystal display device is placed vertically as described above, the liquid crystal panel is bent toward the display surface by its own weight, so that the liquid crystal panel and the optical member are separated from each other. As a result, wrinkles may occur on the optical member. When wrinkles occur on the optical member, the optical characteristics of the liquid crystal display device deteriorate.
The present specification has been created in view of the above problems. In this specification, it aims at providing the display apparatus which can prevent thru | or suppress that wrinkles generate | occur | produce in an optical member by separating between an optical member and a display panel.
The technology disclosed in this specification is arranged in contact with a light source, a display panel that performs display using light of the light source, and a surface opposite to the display surface side of the display panel. An optical member, at least a bottom plate, a chassis disposed on a side opposite to the display panel with respect to the optical member, and disposed on the bottom plate, from the bottom plate toward the optical member side. A first protruding member that protrudes and holds the optical member and the display panel in a curved shape toward the display surface side by supporting at least a central portion of the optical member. The present invention relates to a display device.
According to the display device as described above, the optical member and the display panel are held in a shape curved in advance on the display surface side by the first projecting member in a state where they are in contact with each other. For this reason, even when the display device is placed vertically or the like, even if it is affected by gravity, the display panel is already bent and bent toward the display surface side, so there is less room for bending. It is prevented or suppressed that only the display panel is bent to the display surface side by its own weight or the like. As a result, it is possible to prevent or suppress the display panel from being separated from the optical member by bending only the display panel toward the display surface side, and the optical member and the display panel are separated from each other by being separated from the optical member. Can be prevented or suppressed.

The height of the first projecting member may be within 5 mm.

A part of each drawing shows an X-axis, a Y-axis, and a Z-axis, and each axis direction is drawn in a common direction in each drawing. Among these, the Y-axis direction coincides with the vertical direction, and the X-axis direction coincides with the horizontal direction. In addition, unless otherwise noted, the vertical direction is used as a reference for upper and lower descriptions.
The television receiver TV includes a liquid crystal display unit LDU, various substrates PWB, MB, CTB attached to the back side (back side) of the liquid crystal display unit LDU, and main substrates PWB, MB, A cover member CV attached to cover the CTB and a stand ST are provided, and the display surface of the liquid crystal display unit LDU is held by the stand ST along the vertical direction (Y-axis direction). The liquid
First, the configuration of the back side of the liquid
As shown in FIG. 2, the various substrates PWB, MB, and CTB include a power supply substrate PWB, a main substrate MB, and a control substrate CTB. The power supply substrate PWB can be said to be a power supply source of the liquid
As shown in FIG. 3, the liquid crystal display unit LDU that constitutes the liquid
As shown in FIG. 3, the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
Of the main surface of the
The

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the
The
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the
Then, the structure of the flame |
As shown in FIG. 3, the
A
An
As shown in FIG. 3, the
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the LED
Then, the structure of the
The projecting
As shown in FIG. 5, the central portion of the
Now, since the liquid
As described above, in the liquid
In the liquid
Further, in the liquid
Further, in the liquid
In the liquid

<Embodiment 2>
A second embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. The second embodiment is different from the first embodiment in the extending direction of the projecting

<Embodiment 3>
Embodiment 3 will be described with reference to the drawings. In the third embodiment, the shapes of the protruding

<Modification of Embodiment 3>
Next, a modification of the third embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. The modification is different from the third embodiment in that the backlight device constituting the liquid crystal display device is a direct type. Since other configurations are the same as those of the third embodiment, description of the structure, operation, and effect is omitted. In FIG. 10, the part obtained by adding the numeral 100 to the reference sign in FIG. 9 is the same as the part described in the first embodiment.
The liquid crystal display device according to the modification does not include a light guide plate, and a plurality of LED substrates 318 are arranged on the bottom plate portion 314a of the chassis 314 as shown in FIG. Each LED board 318 is disposed between the projecting members 331 and 332, and a plurality of LEDs 317 are mounted on each LED board 318 with the light emitting surface facing the front side. That is, the liquid crystal display device according to the modification includes a direct-type backlight device that directly supplies light from the back surface to the liquid crystal panel. In the case of such a configuration, the top surface 331a of the first projecting member 331 is in direct contact with the central portion of the optical sheet group, whereby the optical sheet group and the liquid crystal panel are directed toward the display surface side. It will be held in a hemispherically curved state. Even in the case of the direct liquid crystal display device as described above, the optical sheet group and the liquid crystal panel can be held in a previously curved state, and the liquid crystal panel is prevented from being separated from the optical sheet group. Can be suppressed.
