Description

The present invention relates to a seal member and a connector including the seal member.

。   2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, for example, a sealing member that seals between a housing and an electric wire is used for a connector for electric wiring (for example, see Patent Documents 1 and 2).

The packing described in Patent Document 1 is used by being inserted into the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical portion provided in the housing. This packing is an annular member made of a rubber material having a wire insertion hole through which an electric wire is inserted and formed in a substantially cylindrical shape, and an outer peripheral lip portion protruding outward is formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof. . When the packing is inserted into the cylindrical portion, the lip portion is crushed in the radial direction by the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion, whereby the packing and the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion are brought into close contact with each other, thereby exhibiting a sealing function.

The rubber plug described in Patent Document 2 is mounted on an insulating coating of an electric wire and used by being inserted into an opening of a housing. This rubber plug has a substantially rectangular flat plate shape, and an opening having an inner diameter that is the same diameter as the insulation coating of the electric wire is formed, and a slit extending from this opening to one side edge of the rubber plug is formed. The electric wire can be inserted into the opening of the rubber plug via the. Since the periphery of the rubber plug has substantially the same size as the opening of the housing, the opening of the housing is sealed by inserting the rubber plug.

By the way, when attaching the packing of patent document 1 to the one end part of the electric wire with which the terminal was previously attached, when an electric wire and a terminal cannot be inserted from this one end side into an electric wire accommodation hole by the shape and magnitude | size of a terminal Requires the work of inserting the wire from the other end side to the one end side of the electric wire into the electric wire receiving hole over substantially the entire length of the electric wire. It was.

Then, the inventors of this application considered applying the slit as described in patent document 2 to the packing described in patent document 1. However, when the technique described in Patent Document 2 is applied to the packing described in Patent Document 1, there are the following problems.

That is, when the packing is attached to the opening of the housing, the outer peripheral lip portion may be displaced from each other on both sides of the slit portion. There is a problem in that a discontinuous portion is formed in a region where the inner surface of the substrate is in close contact with each other, a passage of air or the like is formed in the discontinuous portion, and sealing performance is deteriorated.

Accordingly, the present invention provides a sealing member having a notch for guiding an electric wire into a through-hole, and capable of suppressing the occurrence of a discontinuous portion in the lip portion when the packing is attached to an opening of a housing or the like. And a connector provided with the seal member.

A seal member having a cut from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface, wherein the cut is cut so that at least a part thereof intersects a direction orthogonal to the circumferential direction I will provide a.

Further, the cut may have a folded shape in which the top of each of the lip portions is a turning point.

The incision includes a first incision extending along the valleys of the plurality of lip portions, and a second incision extending from both ends of the first incision in a direction intersecting the first incision. You may have.

Moreover, this invention provides the connector provided with the sealing member in any one of said, and the housing which has an opening which accommodates the said sealing member in order to solve the said subject.

Similarly, the notch 43b is obliquely cut toward one side in the circumferential direction from one side surface 40b to the turning point 451 of the top portion 401c in the lip portion 401 on the one side surface 40b side. Between the turning point 451 of the top part 401c in the lip part 401 and the turning point 452 of the top part 402c in the lip part 402, it cuts diagonally toward the other in the circumferential direction. A portion between the turning point 452 of the top portion 402c of the lip portion 402 and the turning point 453 of the top portion 403c of the lip portion 403 is obliquely cut toward one side in the circumferential direction. Between the turning point 453 of the top part 403c in the lip part 403 and the other side face 40b, it is cut diagonally toward the other in the circumferential direction. That is, the cut 43b has a folded shape in which the lip portions 401, 402, and 403 become the turning points 451, 452, and 453, respectively.

The electric wire 31 is inserted into the through hole 41 through a gap formed by opening the notch 41b of the seal member 4 in the circumferential direction. When the electric wire 31 is inserted into the through hole 41, the cut 41 b is closed, and the top portions 401 c, 402 c, and 403 c of the lip portions 411, 412, and 413 come into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire 31. Similarly, the electric wire 32 is inserted into the through hole 42 through a gap formed by opening the cut 42b of the seal member 4 in the circumferential direction. When the electric wire 32 is inserted into the through hole 42, the notch 42 b is closed and the top portions 401 c, 402 c, and 403 c of the lip portions 421, 422, and 423 come into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire 32. Similarly, the electric wire 33 is inserted into the through-hole 43 through a gap formed by opening the notch 43b of the seal member 4 in the circumferential direction. When the electric wire 33 is inserted into the through hole 43, the cut 43 b is closed in the circumferential direction, and the top portions 401 c, 402 c, 403 c of the lip portions 431, 432, 433 are in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire 33.

The seal member 4 into which the electric wires 31, 32, 33 are inserted is inserted into the opening 220 of the female housing 22 as shown in FIG. 1. The lip portions 401, 402, and 403 on the outer peripheral surface 40 a of the seal member 4 are in contact with the inner surface 220 a of the opening 220. The inner surface 220 a of the opening 220 is formed smaller than the outer diameter of the lip portions 401, 402, 403 on the outer peripheral surface 40 a of the seal member 4. When the seal member 4 is inserted into the opening 220, the lip portions 401, 402, and 403 are elastically deformed by receiving a pressing force from the inner surface 220 a of the opening 220, so that the inner surface 220 a of the opening 220 in the female side housing 22 and the seal member. 4 are in close contact with the lip portions 401, 402, and 403.

Further, when the outer peripheral surface 40a of the seal member 4 is pressed, the lip portions 411-413, 421-423, 431-433 of the inner peripheral surfaces 41a, 42a, 43a press the electric wires 31, 32, 33, It undergoes elastic deformation under the reaction force. When the lip portions 411 to 413, 421 to 423, 431 to 433 are elastically deformed, the outer peripheral surfaces of the electric wires 31, 32 and 33 and the lip portions 411 to 413, 421 to 423, 431 to 433 are brought into close contact with each other.

Next, with reference to FIG.3 and FIG.5, the effect | action and effect of this Embodiment are demonstrated.

FIG. 5 shows a state of the outer peripheral surface 40a when the sealing member 400 according to the comparative example parallel to the direction orthogonal to the circumferential direction is inserted into the opening 220, (a) is a top view, (b) ) Is a partial enlarged view of a D portion of (a).

When the seal member 400 is inserted into the opening 220, the lip 401 is crushed by receiving a pressing force from the inner surface 220a of the opening 220, and the tip 401a of the lip 401 on one side of the cut 410b and the other side of the cut 410b. And the tip 401b of the lip 401 are pressed against each other by the flow of meat, and are shifted in opposite directions to the circumferential direction. As a result, the region where the lip 401 is in close contact with the inner surface 220a of the opening 220 is discontinuous before and after the notch 41b, forming a path through which air or the like circulates as shown by an arrow E in FIG. Is done. This path is formed at each intersection where the lip portions 401, 402, 403 and the cuts 410b, 420b, 430b intersect.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5A, one outer peripheral surface 40a along the longitudinal direction of the seal member 400 is divided into four regions by cuts 410b, 420b, and 430b, and these regions are cut into 410b. , 420b, and 430b, a path through which air or the like flows is also formed.

On the other hand, in the seal member 4 according to the present embodiment, the lip in the direction from one side of the cuts 41b, 42b, 43b to the other side due to the pressing force received by the lip parts 401, 402, 403 from the inner surface 220a of the opening 220. The flow of meat in the parts 401, 402, 403 is suppressed by the shapes of the cuts 41b, 42b, 43b. That is, the lip portions 401, 402, and 403 have a V-shaped shape, and one V-shaped projection sandwiching the notches 41b, 42b, and 43b is fitted into the other recess, so that the peripheral portions at the top portions 401c, 402c, and 403c. Deviation from the direction is suppressed. Similarly, not only the lip portions 401, 402, and 403 but also deviations in the direction perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the lip portions 401, 402, and 403 in the regions on both sides sandwiching the cuts 41b, 42b, and 43b are suppressed. . Therefore, the lip portions 401, 402, and 403 are discontinuous before and after the cuts 41b, 42b, and 43b, and the formation of a path such as air is suppressed, and sealing performance is ensured.

Thus, in the sealing member 4 according to the present embodiment, the cuts 41b, 42b are made while facilitating the work of inserting the electric wires 31, 32, 33 into the through holes 41, 42, 43 by the cuts 41b, 42b, 43b. , 43b can be prevented from lowering the sealing function when the packing is attached to the opening of the housing or the like.
