Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electronically controlled brake system for a vehicle, and more particularly to a reduction in the amount of movement of a brake pedal toward a driver at the time of a vehicle collision.
The electronically controlled brake system described in Patent Document 1 below includes (a) a brake pedal that is depressed by a vehicle driver's foot, and (b) a master cylinder hydraulic pressure that is generated according to the depression of the brake pedal. The master cylinder, (c) power hydraulic pressure source that generates hydraulic pressure by power, and (d) a wheel cylinder that operates in response to the supply of hydraulic pressure act as a drive source to suppress wheel rotation. (E) a master cut valve that is provided between the master cylinder and the wheel cylinder and is always open, but is switched to a closed state in response to the start of depression of the brake pedal, and (f) A hydraulic pressure control device that includes a pressure increasing valve and a pressure reducing valve, and that controls the hydraulic pressure of the wheel cylinder based on the hydraulic power source hydraulic pressure. When the vehicle collides, the master cut valve is opened, and the pressure reducing valve of the hydraulic pressure control device is controlled so that the master cylinder pressure is maintained at the set value. As a result, even if the master cylinder itself or the dash panel that holds it is moved to the driver side by the engine or the like, an appropriate reaction force is applied to the brake pedal, and the master cut valve is applied from the master cylinder. Then, the brake fluid is discharged to the reservoir through the pressure reducing valve, and it is avoided that the brake pedal is excessively moved to the driver side.
However, there is still room for improvement in the conventional electronically controlled brake system. For example, in order to discharge the brake fluid to the reservoir, it is necessary to cut off the current to the master cut valve based on the collision detection, while supplying current to the pressure reducing valve to open both valves. There is room for improvement, such as the possibility of delaying the suppression of pedal movement to the driver.
The present invention has been made against the background of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to improve an electronically controlled brake system in which the amount of movement of the brake pedal toward the driver during a vehicle collision is reduced.
The above problems are (a) a brake pedal that is depressed by the driver's foot, (b) a master cylinder that generates a master cylinder hydraulic pressure in response to the depression of the brake pedal, and (c) power. A power hydraulic pressure source for generating a hydraulic power pressure; (d) a brake that operates using a wheel cylinder that operates in response to the supply of the hydraulic pressure as a drive source and suppresses rotation of the wheel; and (e) the master. A master cut valve which is provided between the cylinder and the wheel cylinder and is always open but is switched to the closed state in response to the start of depression of the brake pedal; and (f) the power hydraulic pressure source hydraulic pressure. (G) connected to a fluid passage connecting the master cut valve and the master cylinder, and discharged from the master cylinder when the master cut valve is closed. A stroke simulator for returning the stored brake fluid to the master cylinder in response to a return operation of the brake pedal, and (h) connected to the hydraulic pressure control device and the master cut valve. An electronically controlled brake system including an electronic control device for electronic control, (i) a flow resistance applying means for applying resistance to a flow of brake fluid between the stroke simulator and the master cylinder, and (j) the above Between the master cylinder and the stroke simulator, it is provided in parallel with the flow resistance applying means, and opens when the front and rear hydraulic pressure difference exceeds the set hydraulic pressure difference, and the brake fluid bypasses the flow resistance applying means from the master cylinder side. This is a pressure reducing valve that allows flow to the stroke simulator side. A pressure reducing valve set higher than the maximum value of the hydraulic pressure difference that is expected to occur before and after the pressure reducing valve based on the depression operation of the brake pedal performed by the driver's intention when the system is in a normal state; It is solved by including.
During normal braking in the electronically controlled brake system according to the present invention, the brake fluid that has flowed out of the master cylinder when the driver depresses the brake pedal flows into the stroke simulator while being given resistance by the flow resistance applying means. Therefore, the feeling of depression when the driver depresses the brake pedal quickly becomes heavy, and an operation feeling commensurate with the driver's intention to rapidly increase the braking force is obtained. In addition, the set hydraulic pressure difference before and after the pressure reducing valve is expected to occur before and after the pressure reducing valve based on the depression operation of the brake pedal performed by the driver's intention when the electronically controlled brake system is in a normal state. Since the pressure difference is set higher than the maximum value of the hydraulic pressure difference, the pressure reducing valve does not open during normal braking, which is the same as when no pressure reducing valve is provided.
Even when the master cylinder itself or the dash panel holding it is moved to the driver side by the engine or the like in the event of a vehicle collision, and the brake pedal is moved to the driver side accordingly, When the force applied by the driver's feet exceeds the magnitude corresponding to the set hydraulic pressure difference, the pressure reducing valve opens and the brake fluid of the master cylinder is discharged to the stroke simulator at a sufficient flow rate bypassing the flow resistance applying means. The approach between the master cylinder and the brake pedal is allowed. It is avoided that the brake pedal is excessively moved to the driver side while a reaction force having a magnitude corresponding to the set hydraulic pressure difference is applied to the brake pedal. In addition, since the pressure reducing valve is mechanically opened without electrical control, the master cut valve and the pressure reducing valve are electrically controlled based on collision detection as in the invention described in Patent Document 1. As described above, there is no possibility of delay in suppressing the movement of the brake pedal to the driver side.

And a pressure reducing valve set higher than the maximum value of the hydraulic pressure difference that is expected to occur before and after the electronic brake system.
(2) The pressure reducing valve includes a valve element biased toward the valve seat by the biasing means, and the flow resistance applying means is formed by a through hole formed through the valve element ( Electronically controlled brake system according to item 1).
The entire through hole may be in a state of functioning as a flow resistance applying unit, or an orifice or a nozzle may be formed in a part of the through hole so that they function as the flow resistance applying unit.
The flow resistance applying means is provided integrally with the pressure reducing valve, and the increase in size of the electronically controlled brake system is suppressed. The entire bypass passage may be in a state of functioning as a flow resistance applying means, or an orifice or a nozzle may be formed in a part of the bypass passage so that they function as the flow resistance applying means. Although it is possible to provide a flow resistance applying means outside the valve housing, the number of pipe joints can be reduced with the configuration of this section.

As shown in FIG. 1, a

The electronically controlled brake system is controlled based on a command from the brake ECU 160. The brake ECU 160 is mainly a computer and includes an
During non-braking, the
Further, the braking slip state of each wheel is obtained based on the wheel speed detected by the
During normal vehicle braking, the
When the vehicle collides, the
The valve opening pressure of the
However, since the hydraulic pressure control device 88 controls the hydraulic pressure of the
As described above, in the present embodiment, when the
