Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle control device. More specifically, the present invention relates to a vehicle control apparatus that includes at least an engine as a driving force generation source and that automatically stops or restarts the engine.
A vehicle equipped with an engine as a driving force generation source is equipped with a microcomputer responsible for engine control for generating a driving force according to a request from the driver. The power for driving the microcomputer is provided by the battery mounted on the vehicle. However, in the conventional technology, while the engine is stopped with the ignition switch turned off, the power consumption of the battery is reduced as much as possible. The microcomputer responsible for engine control is set to a so-called sleep state that can be quickly activated when a predetermined activation request is made under a minimum supply power (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
Incidentally, in recent years, a vehicle having a so-called idle stop function for automatically stopping the engine in response to the establishment of the predetermined condition and restarting the engine stopped in accordance with the establishment of the predetermined condition, or the engine as a driving force generation source. In addition, the development of vehicles that frequently stop and restart the engine while traveling, such as a hybrid vehicle equipped with a motor, is increasing. However, in a vehicle in which such an engine is automatically stopped or started, sufficient consideration has not been made as to when the microcomputer should be stopped or started.
For example, in the technique of the above-mentioned
The present invention provides a vehicle control apparatus having an automatic stop / start function for automatically stopping or restarting an engine, which can efficiently reduce battery power consumption for driving a microcomputer. Objective.
(1) In order to achieve the above object, according to the present invention, an engine (for example, an engine 3 described later) is stopped in response to a predetermined automatic stop condition being satisfied, and a predetermined automatic restart condition is satisfied. Accordingly, a control device (for example, a
(1) In the present invention, the control related to the engine is divided into two parts, that is, engine control for extracting driving force, automatic stop control for stopping the engine, and automatic restart control for restarting the engine. The main control unit is responsible for engine control, the latter automatic stop control and automatic restart control are assigned to the sub control unit, and the main control is performed at least as long as the engine is stopped due to the establishment of the automatic stop condition. By stopping the apparatus, the power consumption of the entire control apparatus can be reduced. Here, while the engine that stops the main controller is stopped, the engine speed is zero as well as the engine is completely stopped because the engine speed is zero (0 rpm). This includes the period during which the engine is substantially stopped during transition to the previous stop or immediately after the automatic stop condition is satisfied. Further, the automatic restart condition often includes the fact that the remaining amount of the battery that supplies the drive power for the starter that restarts the engine is reduced. In the present invention, the main control device is used during the automatic engine stop. , And the decrease in the remaining amount of the battery can be delayed, so that the time during which the engine can be stopped can be lengthened and the fuel consumption of the engine can be reduced accordingly. In addition, by dividing the roles between the main control device and the sub-control device in this way, each control load can be reduced compared to the case where these controls are performed by a single control device. A power consumption microcomputer can be used.
(2) In this case, the vehicle is a hybrid vehicle provided with the engine and an electric motor (for example, a travel motor 4 described later) as a driving force generation source, and the sub-control device has established the automatic stop condition. Accordingly, it is preferable that the main control device is stopped and motor control for taking out the driving force from the motor is performed.
(2) In the present invention, in a hybrid vehicle including an engine and an electric motor, the main control device is responsible for engine control, and the sub-control device is responsible for automatic engine stop control, automatic restart control, and electric motor control. In addition, the power consumption for driving the main control device can be reduced by traveling under the motor control by the sub-control device while the main control device is stopped while the engine is automatically stopped. Further, by reducing the power consumption for driving the main control device, it is possible to lengthen the traveling period by the electric motor, and to reduce the fuel consumption of the engine.
(3) In this case, information necessary for performing the engine control is input to the main control device, and information necessary for performing the electric motor control and the automatic stop condition are input to the sub-control device. It is preferable that information necessary for determining whether the automatic restart condition is satisfied is input.
(3) In the present invention, by inputting information necessary for determining whether the automatic engine stop condition and the automatic restart condition are satisfied to the sub control device, the main control device at an appropriate timing in the sub control device. Can be stopped or activated.
(4) In this case, when the sub-control device determines that the automatic stop condition is satisfied, the sub-control device outputs a stop command signal for the engine to the main control device, and outputs a stop command signal for the main control device. It is preferable to output.
(4) In the present invention, when it is determined by the sub control device that the automatic stop condition is satisfied, the main control device is stopped together with the engine, thereby consuming fuel for the engine and driving for the main control device. Both power can be reduced.
(5) In this case, when the sub-control device determines that the automatic restart condition is satisfied, the sub-control device starts an engine start device (for example, a
(5) In the present invention, when the sub control device determines that the automatic restart condition is satisfied while the automatic stop condition is satisfied and the engine and the main control device are stopped, the sub control device By outputting a drive signal to the engine starter and outputting a start command signal to the main controller, the time from when the automatic restart condition is satisfied to when the engine restart is completed can be shortened.
That is, for example, in a vehicle in which the main controller is responsible for both engine control and automatic restart control, when the automatic restart condition is satisfied when the main controller is stopped, the automatic restart condition is satisfied. In response, the main controller is first activated, and then a drive signal is output from the main controller to the engine starter, completing the restart of the engine. Compared to such a vehicle, in the present invention, both the restart of the main control device and the restart of the engine can be performed almost simultaneously with the sub control device as a main body, so there is no time lag.

The ignition switch can be set at four positions: an OFF position, an ACC position, an ON position, and an ST position.
First, when the position of the ignition switch is in the OFF position, both the main microcomputer and the sub-microcomputer are stopped.
Next, the stopped sub-microcomputer is activated in response to the position of the ignition switch being switched from the OFF position to the ACC position. At this time, the main microcomputer does not start.
Next, when the position of the ignition switch is switched from the ACC position through the ON position to the ST position, the activated sub-microcomputer detects this as an engine start request. In response to detecting the engine start request, the sub-microcomputer starts outputting a drive signal to the starter and outputs a start command signal to the stopped main microcomputer. In response to this, the starter starts cranking the engine, and at the same time, the main microcomputer is activated.
Thereafter, when the engine is started and the position of the ignition switch is switched from the ST position to the ON position, the sub-microcomputer detects this as an engine start / stop request. The sub-microcomputer stops outputting the drive signal to the starter in response to detecting this engine start / stop request. As described above, motor control and mission control can be performed by the sub-microcomputer, and engine control and mission control can be performed by the main microcomputer.
FIG. 3 is a sequence diagram showing a procedure for automatically stopping the engine or restarting the engine that has been automatically stopped in the traveling vehicle after starting the main microcomputer and the sub-microcomputer in the procedure of FIG.
In the traveling vehicle, the sub-microcomputer determines whether or not the engine automatic stop condition is satisfied based on the input information. More specifically, the sub-microcomputer, for example, that the AP opening is below a predetermined value, the mission oil temperature is not in a high temperature state or a low temperature state, the shift lever position is at a position where the engine can be automatically stopped, and the vehicle speed is predetermined. The steering angle of the steering is less than or equal to a predetermined value or the steering torque is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, the brake is fully depressed, and the air conditioner is in a state where the engine can be automatically stopped. If the conditions such as the fact that the remaining capacity of the battery is sufficient and the battery is not significantly deteriorated are determined, it is determined that the automatic engine stop condition is satisfied. In the present invention, the automatic engine stop condition is not limited to the above conditions.
When the sub-microcomputer determines that the above-described engine automatic stop condition is satisfied, the sub-microcomputer outputs an engine stop command signal to the main microcomputer to automatically stop the engine. The main microcomputer stops the engine control and stops the engine in response to receiving the engine stop command signal.
Next, the sub-microcomputer outputs a main microcomputer stop command signal to the main microcomputer to stop the main microcomputer. The main microcomputer enters a sleep state in response to receiving the main microcomputer stop command signal. Further, while the engine is automatically stopped and the main microcomputer is in the sleep state, the sub-microcomputer continues motor control and mission control.
The timing for the sub microcomputer to output the main microcomputer stop command signal to the main microcomputer is the time when the engine speed becomes zero (0 rpm) due to the main microcomputer stopping the engine control. It may be during the stop transition before reaching zero or almost simultaneously with the output of the engine stop command signal.
Thereafter, in a vehicle traveling with the engine automatically stopped, the sub-microcomputer determines whether or not an automatic engine restart condition is satisfied based on the input information. More specifically, the sub-microcomputer, for example, indicates that the AP opening is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the mission oil temperature is not excessively high or low, the shift lever position is in a position where the engine cannot be automatically stopped, and the vehicle speed is It is necessary that the steering angle is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the steering angle is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the steering torque is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the brake is not fully depressed, and the air condition is required to restart the engine. If the conditions such as being in a certain state or the remaining capacity of the battery is low and the engine needs to be restarted are satisfied, it is determined that the automatic engine restart condition is satisfied. . In the present invention, the engine automatic restart condition is not limited to the above conditions.
If the sub-microcomputer determines that the engine automatic restart condition described above has been established, it outputs a drive signal to the starter to start the engine that has been automatically stopped, and the main microcomputer is in the sleep state. The main microcomputer start command signal is output to the main microcomputer. As a result, the starter starts the engine and the main microcomputer returns from the sleep state. As described above, motor control and mission control can be performed by the sub-microcomputer, and engine control and mission control can be performed by the main microcomputer.
Note that the timing at which the sub-microcomputer outputs the main microcomputer activation command signal to the main microcomputer is preferably the time when the engine speed is zero (0 rpm) in order to speed up the engine start.
