Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a tire design method capable of efficiently designing a tire capable of improving durability.
Conventionally, a pneumatic tire is manufactured by vulcanizing a raw tire formed by bonding tire components together with a vulcanization mold (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The green tire is subjected to the effects of heat and pressure in the vulcanization mold, and is molded into a pneumatic tire with a contour shape along the molding surface of the vulcanization mold.
By the way, the contour shape of a vulcanized pneumatic tire is inflated and deformed by being filled with internal pressure. However, if there is a part that is greatly deformed locally during such expansion and deformation, such a part becomes a weak point of durability due to further distortion during actual running.
The present invention has been devised in view of the actual situation as described above, and relates to at least one component of the tire model, and an initial amount of change from an initial tire model to an inflated tire model is within an allowable range. As shown in FIG. 4, in the design method of the present embodiment, the tire model setting step S <b> 1 in which the initial tire model 3 (shown in FIG. 6) is input to the

As the numerical analysis method, for example, a finite element method, a finite volume method, a difference method, or a boundary element method can be employed as appropriate, but the finite element method is employed in the present embodiment.
FIG. 5 shows a more specific processing procedure of the tire model setting step S1 of the present embodiment.
First, in the tire model setting step S1 of the present embodiment, a rubber member modeling step S1a for modeling each rubber member constituting the
As these three-dimensional
Further, when a tread pattern including a vertical groove and a horizontal groove is set on the outer surface of the
Next, in the tire model setting step S1 of the present embodiment, a carcass modeling step S1b for modeling the
In the
Next, in the tire model setting step S1 of the present embodiment, a belt modeling step S1c for modeling the belt plies 7A and 7B is performed. In this belt modeling step S1c, as shown in FIGS. 3 (b) and 7 (b), the
In the
As described above, the initial tire model including the
Next, in the deformation calculation step S2, the
As specific processing of this deformation calculation step S2, as shown in FIG. 8, the
Then, the
In the change amount calculation step S3, the
FIG. 10 shows a specific processing procedure of the change amount calculation step S3 performed by the
First, in the change amount calculation step S3 of this embodiment, a step (first calculation step) S3a for obtaining a change amount T1 of the degree of curvature of the
Here, the curvatures Ca and Cb are the axial distance L1a between the outer ends 20t and 20t in the tire axial direction in the
Further, in the change amount calculation step S3 of the present embodiment, a step (third calculation step) S3b of obtaining a change amount T3 of the outer end position of the
In the determination step S4, the
Each allowable range of each of the change amounts T1 to T3 is appropriately determined by using various experimental data and empirical rules regarding the tire size to be evaluated. In the case of the tire of the present embodiment, for example, the allowable range of the change amount T1 of the degree of curvature of the
In the determination step S4, when the
In the design change step S5, the
As a result, the
In the mold design step S6, a vulcanization mold for vulcanizing and molding the
As described above, according to the design method of the present embodiment, the
By the way, the deformation calculation step S2 is repeatedly executed until the change amounts T1 to T3 are within the allowable range in the design change step S5. For this reason, when the internal pressure condition is, for example, the maximum internal pressure determined by the standard, the elongation due to the internal pressure filling of the
In order to prevent such a problem, it is effective to set the internal pressure condition to a low internal pressure of, for example, about 5 to 30 kPa. Thereby, the tire model 4 after expansion can be approximated to the shape of the tire filled with the maximum internal pressure, and the elongation of the
If the internal pressure condition exceeds 30 kPa, the elongation of the
As mentioned above, although especially preferable embodiment of this invention was explained in full detail, this invention is not limited to embodiment of illustration, It can deform | transform and implement in a various aspect.

Each test tire is assembled on the rim and filled with an internal pressure of 200 kPa, a load-loading state in which a load of 6 kPa is applied, and a small internal pressure-free state in which an internal pressure of 1 kPa is filled and no load is applied. The outer edge position of each belt layer and the outer edge position of each bead apex rubber were confirmed by CT scan photography. The smaller the numerical value, the better the belt layer distortion and the bead apex rubber distortion.
The test results are shown in Table 1.

The smaller the numerical value, the smaller the dimensional error between the initial tire model and the tire model after expansion, and the smaller the dimensional error of the tire after manufacture, and the better.
Table 2 shows the test results.
As a result of the test, the tire model after expansion obtained with the internal pressure condition of 5 to 30 kPa can reduce the dimensional error of the tire after manufacture, and can also reduce the distortion of the belt layer and the bead apex rubber, thereby improving the durability. It was confirmed.
