Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an ultrasonic observation apparatus for observing an object present in a liquid.
In the fast reactor, since liquid metal sodium is used as a coolant for extracting the thermal energy of the core to the outside, the inside of the reactor cannot be observed by ordinary optical means. For this purpose, ultrasonic observation is performed in which ultrasonic waves are propagated through liquid metal sodium to image the inside of the furnace.
As an ultrasonic observation apparatus for such a fast reactor, an echo signal received by reflecting ultrasonic waves transmitted from a plurality of piezoelectric elements arranged in a matrix shape to a structure in the reactor is subjected to aperture synthesis processing to perform three-dimensional processing. A technique for imaging is known (for example, Patent Document 1).
However, in the conventional ultrasonic observation apparatus, the shape of the object in the furnace can be confirmed with high resolution, but there is a problem that the imaging region is limited to just below the aggregate of piezoelectric elements arranged in a matrix.
For this reason, when observing the in-furnace situation over a wide range, it is necessary to move the ultrasonic observation apparatus in the horizontal direction or increase the number of piezoelectric elements to increase the opening area. As a result, the observation time is prolonged and the apparatus becomes complicated and large, and the three-dimensional imaging processing by the software takes a long time, which is a great obstacle to the internal observation of the fast reactor.
The present invention has been made in consideration of such circumstances, and before observing the detailed shape of an object existing in the furnace, rough information such as the presence / absence information of the object and position information can be easily obtained over a wide range. An object of the present invention is to provide an ultrasonic observation apparatus capable of performing the above.
In the ultrasonic observation apparatus, a signal transmission unit that outputs ultrasonic waves to a designated piezoelectric element, and a sensor in which a plurality of the piezoelectric elements are linearly arranged so that an inclination angle in a traveling direction of the ultrasonic waves sequentially increases. A support rod provided in the sensor unit substantially perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the plurality of piezoelectric elements, a sensor operation unit for moving the sensor unit in the longitudinal direction of the support rod, and an output from the piezoelectric element And an image processing unit that performs imaging processing on the imaging region based on an echo signal of a sound wave and a displacement amount of the sensor unit along an orthogonal plane of the support rod.
According to the present invention, there is provided an ultrasonic observation apparatus capable of easily acquiring rough information such as presence / absence information and position information of an object in a liquid over a wide range.
(First embodiment)
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the

Although not shown in the drawings, an inclination angle adjusting unit that adjusts the inclination angle θ of the piezoelectric element to change the traveling direction of the ultrasonic wave can be provided. Thereby, the spatial resolution of the observation object and the optimum sensitivity of the echo signal can be adjusted.
According to the ultrasonic observation apparatus of at least one embodiment described above, since the inclination angles of the piezoelectric elements are arranged linearly so as to increase sequentially, a wide imaging area can be obtained even if the sensor unit is miniaturized. It becomes possible.
